  1. You and the others were sitting around Sadie's home as per usual. It was a tense time as after that previous attack you all didn't know what to think. There was some sort of...thing running around with ability to summon dragons with a flick of their finger and you had no idea how you were going to defeat him if you have no idea how to get to their base of operations. To top things off, Jane still hadn't turned up and the absence of the usually happy girl was taking its toll on the group.
  2.
  3. "So Red...any ideas on what to do?" Saya asked
  4.
  5. "About what?"
  6.
  7. "What do you mean 'about what'? About that...whoever that guy was!"
  8.
  9. "I've got no idea what to do really." You say with a sigh
  10.
  11. "Dammit all." Saya growled
  12.
  13. "The most we can do is stay on the alert and respond to whatever that guy has planned." Sadie speaks "It's terrible, but until we can find a way to take the fight to them, we can only attempt to stop whatever plan they have."
  14.
  15. "The question is just what is their plan though." Sanja sighed "We don't have a clue and Hazel is too...well herself to really explain what's going on."
  16.
  17. "Please don't remind me of that, you don't have to live with her." Helena groans "I I swear just getting the girl up in the morning is a chore. She starts rolling all over the place and then she does the entire illusion thing..."
  18.
  19. "Hey you're the one who wants to keep her."
  20.
  21. "More like she won't leave, and I'm sure she'd find a way in even if I did manage to pull it off."
  22.
  23. "I...kind of know what you mean..." Sadie mutters giving you a pointed look
  24.
  25. You kind of want to protest against her words, but you aren't too sure what to say exactly. You probably would come back to her house, if only because you have no idea of where else you would go.
  26.
  27. You are Red Meteor and the day is still young!
  28.
  29. >Head downtown and patrol
  30. >Go see Sally
  31. >Other/Write-in
  32.
  33. >Go see Sally
  34.
  35. You get to your feet and opt to go see Sally. Maybe she has some idea of what's going on. You let the others know where you're going and they all give you the assorted goodbyes before you head out. Transforming and leaping up to the rooftops, you revel in the general quietness of the city. There's been no real trouble thanks to the you and your allies, but a thing of note is that there aren't that many people out on the streets, and those that are seem to be doing their best to get into a building of some sort.
  36.
  37. No doubt this is due to the recent attack that occurred and people seem to be afraid to be on the streets for a long time. This continues on until you get to Sally's tower downtown, which is also just as quiet, there's barely any cars on the streets either you notice. That attack really did shake people up.
  38.
  39. Once inside (having taken the time to return to normal of course) you went up to Sally's usual spot, to see the woman knee deep in some other technological nonsense that you weren't even going to try to understand.
  40.
  41. "Hey Sally." You call out, causing the scientist to turn around "How goes it? Did you find anything out yet?"
  42.
  43. "Not at all." She scowls "I don't know where that guy ran off to, and the energies from that portal or whatever is hard to dissect what it is exactly..." She sighs before speaking again "I may have to call on that magic knowing asshole..."
  44.
  45. "Magic knowing asshole?" You ask
  46.
  47. "Forget about it. The only good news is that I did enough work on the field of energy that guy left behind, so if he shows up again, We'll definitely know."
  48.
  49. "How are we gonna know?"
  50.
  51. "Simple! My computer will let out an alarm and-"
  52.
  53. As soon as Sally says that, her computer does just that as a large ALERT sign appears on her screen.
  54.
  55. >I assume it's that?
  56. >Oh god it's so loud
  57. >No questions, leap into action!
  58. >Other/Write-in
  59.
  60. >Oh god it's so loud
  61.
  62. "Oh god it's so loud!" You shout over the blaring of the alarm. The thing is so damn irritating, that on instinct you drive a fist into the screen, causing the alarm to stop...and Sally to glare at you.
  63.
  64. "Uh...umm..." You start
  65.
  66. "Don't say anything. Just be happy I have a replacement screen, cuz if I didn't I don't care what kind of super powers you have, I'll strangle the life out of you myself."
  67.
  68. You want to say that there's no way Sally has the strength for that. But the look on face convinces you otherwise, and so you silently nod your head, thankful that the girl isn't going to kill you.
  69.
  70. "S-so uh...where do I go exactly?"
  71.
  72. Sally huffs and walks over to a smaller screen, typing something out. "Okay...looks like it appeared at the mall. Get over there, I'm pretty sure the police will be on the scene soon enough, don't worry about alerting the others. I'll get in touch with them, you just get down there!"
  73.
  74. You don't bother saying anymore and transform, leaping out of the window, with Sally yelling behind you.
  75.
  76. "WHY THE HELL DID YOU GO OUT MY WINDOW!!!"
  77.
  78. You don't respond as you land on another roof and continue running, hopping along each one until you arrive at the mall...and you see people fleeing from it. You leap over the crowd, forcing your way through the masses until you get inside...and see that there are dried husks of bodies all over the floor, and in the middle of it all is a girl holding a white orb.
  79.
  80. "This is good, my queen will love all these fresh souls. It'll speed along the process nicely!"
  81.
  82. You want to say something, but seeing the twisted faces of agony on these people as their dried out bodies simply lay there motionless keeps you from saying anything to her. This girl...she's clearly sick in the head.
  83.
  84. >No words. Only punch (1d100+10)
  85. >Try to sneak up on her(1d100)
  86. >What the hell did you just do?!
  87. >Other/Write-in
  88.
  89. >Man, you really seem to know how to suck the life out a party don't you?
  90. >Punch(60+10=70)
  91.
  92. You don't give the mystery girl a chance to catch on to your presence, and so you quickly move in from behind her and deliver a solid blow to her back. She doesn't let go of the orb, but she skids back a fair ways from your attack, however she remains standing.
  93.
  94. "Man, you really seem to know how to suck the life out of a party don't you?" You say
  95.
  96. "What in the-oh it's *you*! I heard about you! You're one of Xumir's servants! Teehee, well I'm sorry about that, but I guess you could say I'm the life of the party now! As much as I'd love to party with you though, I'm afraid we have to play my favorite party game!"
  97.
  98. "And that is?"
  99.
  100. ***BAM***
  101.
  102. The next thing you know you're sent flying back into a store, the window shattering as you fly through it and land on the floor, the girl standing overtop of you
  103.
  104. "Breaking open the pinata~" she whispers cruelly
  105.
  106. Crap, she's a lot stronger than you thought...faster too...and where the hell did that sword come from?!
  107.
  108. >1d100+10
  109.
  110. >53+10=63
  111.
  112. The girl brings her blade down, but you manage to dodge one slash, and then another, and then another.
  113.
  114. "Ugh, stop moving! How else am I going to get to see your insides?!"
  115.
  116. You don't say anything, instead, exploiting her frustration to get to your feet and deliver a powerful blow to her chest, making her fly out of the store. It's pretty clear that she's not human in the slightest, so you take out your Saber.
  117.
  118. Bam
  119.
  120. And just as you do, you feel yourself being knocked away again.
  121.
  122. "Dammit, why are you so fast?"
  123.
  124. "What's the matter, can't keep up? My powers are granted to me by the true goddess Lioxal, it's not something a pitiful servant from the Justice God could hope to comprehend. Now then, let's break open that armor and see what's inside~"
  125.
  126. She brings her blade down on you, but you manage to roll away in the nick of time. You don't know how long it'll be until the others get here, so you have to hold out.
  127.
  128. "Tch, stay still already!
  129.
  130. >1d100+15
  131.
  132. >98+15=113
  133.
  134. You move in this time for another blow against the girl. Like before she's fast, but this time you knock exactly what she's going to do and so you duck down just enough that her slash goes over you.
  135.
  136. "What the-"
  137.
  138. "Gotcha."
  139.
  140. You drive your blade into her chest, sending a trail of heat through your blade, causing the girl to catch on fire.
  141.
  142. "GAAAAAAAAH!!!"
  143.
  144. You move away from her, watching as the flames immolate her body. This should hopefully put an end to her.
  145.
  146. "ENOUGH!"
  147.
  148. Or maybe not...
  149.
  150. The flames that covered the girl are now gone. Parts of her skin that have melted away reveal an inky black like substance that slowly begins patching her back together.
  151.
  152. Oh great...natural healing.
  153.
  154. "NO MORE GAMES, I'M GOING TO TEAR YOU APART!!!"
  155.
  156. The girl's body is enveloped in a dark energy that swirls all around her. The blade she was carrying now glowed a faint red. Before you could even think of anything to say, she like before moved too fast for you to notice as she drove her blade into your armor. Sparks spewed from the area she'd hit, and it was taking all you could to keep her from completely impaling you.
  157.
  158. "Killyou!Killyou!Killyou!Killyou!Killyou!Killyou!Killyou!Killyou!Killyou!Killyou!Killyou!Killyou!Killyou!Killyou!Killyou!Killyou!Killyou!Killyou!" She shouted over and over again. She now had you up against the wall and the blade was pushing further through your armor.
  159.
  160. "Sorry! Can't have you doing that!" someone shouted
  161.
  162. The woman turned around, anger still clear in her eyes...only to be greeted by a large maw that bit down on her head and threw her off of you.
  163.
  164. "Who...?"
  165.
  166. "Hey there Big Guy...long time no see."
  167.
  168. "Ja-O-Orange Sun?"
  169.
  170. "The one and only!"
  171.
  172. >2d100+15
  173.
  174. >114,109
  175.
  176. The two of you ready yourselves as the woman, far angrier than before lets out an inhuman roar, her blade clashing with the two of you. As if reading your mind, you and Orange Sun weave in and out of her strikes, expertly dodging each one. Anytime a hit is about to get close you block it, and if Orange Sun is about to get hit she goes intangible for a moment.
  177.
  178. "DIEDIEDIEDIEDIE!!!"
  179.
  180. "You first!" Jane exclaims delivering a punch directly to her face. The force knocks the enemy back...and right back into the maw of the ghost bit.
  181.
  182. "Chew her up!" Jane calls out, to which the ghost bit starts furiously chewing on the demon woman.
  183.
  184. "Uh...since when could that thing eat people?"
  185.
  186. "Came up with a lot of things while I was gone."
  187.
  188. "I see..."
  189.
  190. "Yeah, now this should be all handled and-"
  191.
  192. A loud boom resounds as the woman breaks free again, even more pissed off than before. Numerous bite wounds and gashes all over her body.
  193.
  194. "She's a lot more durable than I thought..."
  195.
  196. "Yeah, the others should be here soon, we just have to hold out."
  197.
  198. "Nice as that is, I think I can help us out right now?"
  199.
  200. "What's your plan?"
  201.
  202. "Hey Newbie! You're up!"
  203.
  204. "...Newbie?"
  205.
  206. Just as the woman gets ready to attack again, another figure lands directly ontop of her fist first.
  207.
  208. "U-um...hi?" Comes a meek voice."
  209. "Who the hell is that?" You ask turning to Jane
  210.
  211. "I am...Black Hole!" She exclaims making an exaggerated pose. "I-I am happy to help!"
  212.
  213. Before you can say anything, Black Hole is thrown towards you, you managing to catch her without problem.
  214.
  215. "JUST HOW MANY MORE OF YOU TURDS ARE THERE?!"
  216.
  217. Crack
  218.
  219. The woman is smashed in the head with a taiko stick. "We're the other four. Thanks for waiting." Crimson Eclipse states casually "Hey Red sorry to keep you wai...ting." her words stop as she and the others finally appeared all of them equally silent.
  220.
  221. "Hey there Crimson, been a while! You missed me?"
  222.
  223. Before the two can share any more words, the woman crawls up from the rubble she was knocked into, positively fuming.
  224.
  225. "You know what. Forget this! You people suck, all I wanted to do was kill you. Oh screw it, I have the souls anyway. I'm out of here!"
  226.
  227. The girl exits via a swirling purple portal, leaving you and your friends alone.
  228.
  229. "Hmph, she's gone. Alright, time for questions." Helena says dropping her transformation and looking at Black Hole, just who are you?"
  230.
  231. "I-I'm Black Hole and-
  232.
  233. "No, I mean who are you." she motions to her untransformed state to get the idea across.
  234.
  235. "O-oh...I see."
  236.
  237. Everyone follows suit, dropping their transformations, if only to make the new person feel more comfortable.
  238.
  239. "My name is Mireille Laurent. A pleasure to meet you all.
  240.
  241. "You're...kind of young." Saya remarks staring at the small girl
  242.
  243. "I-I'm 17 I'll have you know!"
  244.
  245. "Even younger than I thought..."
  246.
  247. "I'm not a child! A-anyway, it's nice to meet you all! Especially you!" She exclaims motioning to Sadie
  248.
  249. "Huh...why me?"
  250.
  251. "Oh right! Well...um...hello there I'm your younger sister!
  252.
  253. The following silence was so deafening, one could hear a pin drop.
  254.
  255. "...My what?"
  256.
  257. >To Be Continued
