  1.
  2. [19:56] The Radiant was not moved by Kirai's threats, both to kill him and his attempt to run. "I'm glad you find amusement from this." He growled out as he cleared the space around himself with a savage swipe of the Warhammer. Fighting blind was a new challenge, but to one with the experience of a dozen plus years...
  3.
  4. One knew how to adapt.
  5.
  6. The dojo would take weeks to repair after Atrosus was done brawling through it, shattering stone and wood underfoot with every swing, melting the former to hurl in viscous waves of molten rock.
  7.
  8. And suddenly nothing happened. Blows struck skin as hard as volcanic stone, the Radiant an unmoving statue, mouth and eyes not-withstanding.
  9.
  10. "Grow up. This is not a game." An answer would be given to that question.
  11.
  12. He'd break through the spell and in a two-handed swipe, Lion's Might would uppercut Kirai through the air, sending him to land nearly a dozen yards away.
  13.
  14. "Surrender." The Radiant boomed as he marched menacingly towards Kirai, presence looming with fiery heat.
  15. (Atrosus lux Vandigan)
  16.
  17. [19:57] Atreus whispers: Astrosus interupted the tournament with many criminal charges against Kirai. Apperently they were all cleared, that doesn't seem to be stopping Astrosus though...
  18. [19:58] Atreus whispers: Kirai already lost the first round, he's at a disadvantage...
  19. [19:58] Cyrus Greengrass says, "Piercing kicks... oh man."
  20. [19:58] Mathias Adimaros says, "OH NO"
  21. [19:58] Mathias Adimaros exclaims, "Did i miss it again?!"
  22. [19:59] Discourse exclaims, "Well, that's a headline for sure!"
  23. [19:59] Jericho says, ".."
  24. [19:59] Discourse says, "How's this sound, ladies and gentlemen. 'Atrosus against Kirai: A Dojo Set Ablaze!'."
  25. [19:59] Jericho says, "Shut the fuck up."
  26. [19:59] Robin E. Queen says, "Pfff.."
  27. [19:59] Discourse fingerguns towards Jericho. He clicks his tongue for added effect.
  28. (Discourse)
  29.
  30. [20:05] Kirai had tried. He'd done his best to go against the Radiant's overwhelming power, he'd fought to preserve his freedom in the hopes of eventually eliminating his enemy on better terms.
  31.
  32. Yet, he'd had no hope.
  33.
  34. The Radiant was entirely too powerful. Whether it was that inescapable flame that hunted Kirai, regardless of his clone. Or the earth-shattering blows from that magical hammer so clearly enhancing the man's might beyond anything natural..
  35.
  36. Kirai's illusions and bare-knuckled techniques left him lacking, utterly, in the face of such an overpowering presence.
  37.
  38. As the hammer came down one final time? It smashed into his ribs, and left them a splintered mess, piercing his internal organs with shrapnel from his own bones and leaving him laid out on the ground...
  39.
  40. Coughing up blood and completely at Atrosus' mercy, Kirai looked back to his children, seeing even those that were not gathered here, those he'd fought for before.. The fight that had started all of this.
  41.
  42. He'd offer them one last smile, mouthing a few words.
  43. "Stay strong... Maintain control..."
  44.
  45. And then, he'd black out.
  46. (Kirai Kurokaiyo)
  47.
  48. [20:10] Dodge. Block. The Radiant was deceptively fast, weaving around Kirai's unarmed blows while blocking other attacks with the overweight hammer. His expression grew more animated as he fought, less controlled as the heat of the battle took over.
  49.
  50. A violent rictus of rage took over when he backhanded the dojo-master backwards, never flying from his feet once despite the denting of his armor and the bruising on his face.
  51.
  52. "Not used to fighting someone who can hit back, are you?" The ground burned beneath every footstep of the giant, leaving pools of bubbling magma. "Not used to being confronted for your barbarism?" Another wave of attacks. A last chance.
  53.
  54. Atrosus slammed Lion's Might into the ground with a mighty roar, cratering it inwards - before it burst back outwards, an explosion of molten rock and fire erupting through the dojo.
  55.
  56. Atrosus wasn't holding back.
  57.
  58. An explosion that would have stunned Kirai, scorching his skin, exposing him long enough...
  59.
  60. Long enough for the hammer to finish it, crushing bone under savage burning blow.
  61.
  62. "Resisting... Resisting arrest. Assault on a Radiant. Threatening multiple members of the First Light and Osrona's Nobility with death..." He spoke raggedly, catching his breath, dropping the hammer for the moment as something else was retrieved.
  63.
  64. "Kidnapping Id. Assaulting Caesar and Soma. Deception to escape your own crimes..." A collar was slapped around the unconscious mans neck.
  65.
  66. "Kirai Kurokaiyo, I hereby place you under arrest. Stars save your soul."
  67. (Atrosus lux Vandigan)
  68.
  69. [20:16] It hurt.
  70.
  71. Jericho stares as the man who had given him a second lease on life, who had explained to him this world, who had raised him, provided a roof over his head, taught him everything he knew of magical control, of the martial arts...
  72.
  73. Just...
  74.
  75. Didn't...
  76.
  77. Have this.
  78.
  79. He watched the flames dance around them, fists clenched, on the edge of his seat, as if he himself could feel every blow that ransacked his father's body. Visibly, Jericho flinches at every major impact, but can't be brought to tear his eyes away.
  80.
  81. He'd loathed the nobility already. Despised them. The knights. The City Watch. Those who bore steel were, in his eyes, all the enemy. Enemies of everything he'd been given. For them to intrude somewhere that was his reprieve from them, where he hadn't had to glimpse their faces, for them to take someone so important, who'd only been fighting for his son...
  82.
  83. "Pieces of shit barking at a man greater than they'll ever be..."
  84.
  85. The taunts, the banter, the queries about a goddamn tournament float around in an endless expanse of noise that drowns out even his own voice. Anxiety ransacks him - vertigo. He feels sick. Nauseous. He wants to scream. He never wants to talk again. He doesn't want to be here. There's no where else he wants to go.
  86.
  87. Powerless as his father is dragged away, and him unsure he'd ever get to see him alive again.
  88.
  89. (Jericho)
