  75. ❲ I DON'T CARE ❳
  76.
  77. •   background ::
  78. — DARYA was born to a middle class family in the South Korean city of Gwangju, in the winter of 1993. Her mother, Mihyun, worked as a science technician at her school and her father, Jongsuk, worked in the South Korean branch of an American company. She lived a peaceful life, and made a few friends, playing football in her spare time. She loved Gwangju as it was a massive city and she loved adventures: she'd usually wander off with her friends and worry her parents sick.
  79. WHEN she reached the age of 10, in 2003, her family moved to Saint Petersburg, Russia, in order for her mother to spend more time with her Russian family. She spent a lot of time writing short stories and pinning them on her wall, and would get freaked out when anyone asked what they were about. She found writing about the new city very interesting, and sometimes she'd even wander out to unknown places for inspiration.
  80. BEING a foreigner, Darya didn't know much Russian to begin with. She gradually picked up russian phrases and got herself the nickname "февраль" (fevral'), which means "February". When asked to introduce herself, she said, "Я дарья, я февраль" which means "I am Darya, I am February".
  81. SHE made friends with the only other Korean person in the class; Adrien Choi. Adrien taught her Russian after school and they became best friends pretty quickly. They often spoke in Korean to each other, and it became some kind of code they used in class - mainly to tell each other the answers in math.
  82. DARYA lost Adrien when she moved to Moscow to attend university, and her life remained generally uneventful for the next few years, until she decided to wedge herself into someone else's life.
  83.
  84. •   family ::
  85. — LEE MIHYUN; MOTHER; 52. Mihyun and her daughter aren't too close at the moment, since she didn't support her moving back to South Korea to pursue her love interest. They hardly ever speak to each other, with the small exception of family gatherings and “emergencies.” I guess they're just being petty.
  86. — LEE JONGSUK; FATHER; 53. Darya and her father are on completely opposite terms than she is with her mother. They're on great terms, and whenever Darya needs some money for “something important”, Jongsuk will most likely give it to her. That's basically what keeps their relationship thriving, although there's not much substance.
  87.
  88. •   personality ::
  89. — DARYA Danshova Lee is what you would call a natural leader: it's easy for her to take charge in any situation that involves a decision. It's normal for her to draw out an imaginary plan, lay it down on the imaginary table, and say firmly, "this is the way we're going to do it", regardless of how far-fetched her idea is. No matter how much you don't like the way she wants things to be, her smooth communication skills and subtle persuasions will have the whole group agreeing on her idea. Even if it's as small as where to go for dinner that night.
  90. SHE can also be a bit hot-tempered at times, even if nobody has done anything wrong. You can tell she's in a mood when she sits down, crosses her arms and won't reply to anything. This kind of behaviour happens several times a week, and it usually gets caused by someone denying her money, attention, or makeup.
  91. OCCASIONALLY, these emotions will spiral out of control. When this happens, it's best to shove her in her room and leave her alone. Eventually, she'll fall asleep no matter what the time is (a habit from her childhood that she didn't manage to grow out of). This usually happens after she throws all the feathers from her pillow around the room, realises she's going too far, and decides to take a nap on the floor. That also means the room is occupied for the next 12 hours, so her significant other is forced to sleep in the living room. It's not like they'll complain, or anything.
  92. SHE'S also a major hypocrite. You leave things to the last minute? You'll get shouted at. If she leaves things to the last minute, it's because she's stressed, she's got a lot of things on her mind and you can shut your mouth promptly. You say something incriminating in front of someone important? She'll sit you down and lecture you. If she does it? It wasn't her fault, let it go. If you smudge your perfectly winged eyeliner, shut the fuck up, it's just makeup. If she smudges her perfectly winged eyeliner, the world must stop what they're doing and make amends immediately. Living with Darya is like living with a giant baby.
  93. SHE also refuses to admit when she's wrong, most of the time. She will churn out tons of excuses just so you can't get a word in edgeways, make a loud noise and sit in another room to "think things through". She accepts that she's problematic, but makes no move to change her behaviour.
  94. ADDITIONALLY, Darya can show signs of bluntness. Everywhere. She. Goes. If she doesn't like your skirt, she'll say it. If she doesn't want to meet up with you, she'll say it. She's not one to lie and cover up how she really thinks, which can have both positive and negative causes.
  95. SHE has a completely different personality with her love interest, though. With him, she's sweet and kind, and will always cling to his side innocently. She'll give a famous glare to any girl who looks the slightest bit of a threat, but she will otherwise maintain her pure image. This is mainly how she stole his heart in the first place, and the facade isn't going to break any time soon.
  96. NOW, despite what I've just told you, Darya is actually capable of love and emotion like a normal human being. Underneath the hair dye, lipstick and multiple layers of fur coats, there's a very small part of Darya who knows she's just being cold and unforgiving as a way to get back at the world for being so dimwitted. There are documented cases of her being kind — she's kind to her love interest, both of which are to cover her normal behaviour, and some of which come from the bottom of her soul. How ever will you know?

  120. — DESPITE all the Russian stereotype jokes she likes to make, she will not hesitate to bitch slap you if you make one.
  121. — ON the subject of bitch slapping, she's surprisingly good at it. Like they say, practise makes perfect.
  122. — HER first word was “no”. She literally said it all the time until it drove her parents up the wall.
  123. — SHE'S low-key a fan of TØP, and def has a thing for Tyler Joseph. Don't say anything, though.
  124. — CLOSETED biting fetish. Enough said.
  125. — WHEN she was younger, she won a contest for eating eight bowls of ramen in five minutes. Don't mention it.

  138.
  139. •   closest acquaintance among the slots ::
  140. — THINKIN' 'BOUT YOU. THEY bonded over their saltiness and general will to judge those more unfortunate than them. They're different, but not so much that they don't have common ground.
  141.
  142. •   least closest acquaintance from the slots ::
  143. — BE ALRIGHT. DARYA knows she shouldn't dislike her, but she does. She's inexperienced, poor and way too pretty for her own good. And Darya hates that.
  144.
  145. ▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃▃
  146.
  147. ❲ FOREVER BOY ❳
  148.
  149. •   love interest ::
  150. — G-DRAGON, BIG BANG.
  151.
  152. •   back-up love interest ::
  153. — DEAN, SOLOIST.
  154. — SUGA, BTS.
  155.
  156. •   love interest's personality ::
  157. — HE'S different to a lot of people. Not inherently malevolent with his thoughts, but every once in a while he likes to indulge in the evil and finds it hard to get out. He's emotional, adrenaline quick to mainline into his heart at the very mention of anything that could possibly get him screwed. His feelings are all over the place, but after 28 years of practise, he's managed to put them in a box with the bow on top. He's known for being loving toward his family and friends, bordering on slightly creepy as his constant wishing for you to have the best hangs over your shoulders like an over-excited child. He’s intuitive, basing his feelings on what he feels to be true even without conscious reasoning. This causes him to show sharp powers of judgement in situations, earning him the title of shrewd among those who aren't so good with him.
  158. WHAT I'm trying to say here is that his personality is all over the place, and that's probably the reason why he fell for a girl who had her personality in such a stable place.
  159.
  160. •   how did they meet? ::
  161. — IT'S very simple. Darya took a short break to her hometown, Gwangju, which was very obviously payed for by her father. She met up with a few friends, and got caught up in a modern bar in the centre of Seoul. She drinks a few drinks, laughs at a few jokes, and politely refuses the company that all her friends accept.
  162. CUT to Jiyong. He's on a Work Thing™, and has taken a break to get a drink and clear his mind. He's got problems with his wife at home, and literally can't be asked to respond to her text messages. The girl on the other side of the bar asks what's wrong, and they get talking.
  163. THREE hours later, they're doing a lot more than talking, and nobody even has time to think about what they're doing.
  164.
  165. •   love interest's first impression of your character ::
  166. — HIS first impression was probably, “Holy fuck, that's girl's hot.” And then a whirlwind of thoughts that were mainly addressing what the fuck he's doing. What the fuck SHE'S doing. He thought she was smooth, carefree and almost too seductive, as if he might get sucked into the void if he did anything other than talk. He was far too overwhelmed to really think properly. All he wanted to do was find out more about this strange woman who wore a snake ring and had deep red lipstick.
  167.
  168. •   your character's first impression of her love interest ::
  169. — HER first impression was that he looked far too hot to be sitting alone. He looked rich and slightly vulnerable. Once they began talking, she realised that he was too nice and fucking interesting for his own good, and that she couldn't just use him for a one-night stand. This is technically how it all unravelled.
  170.
  171. •   how does your character act around her love interest? ::
  172. — WITH Jiyong, Darya is almost encouraged to be a better person. She doesn't slag anyone off unless it's absolutely necessary, and she's careful not to sass the rude shop assistants or let anything remotely negative come out of her mouth when it isn't an absolute emergency. She thanks him will hand-squeezes and kisses on the cheek, and tries her best not to come off as arrogant or entitled.
  173. MAYBE that's the part of their relationship wherein it starts to get complicated.
  174.
  175. •   how does the love interest act around your character? ::
  176. — JIYONG acts almost like his normal self, almost being the operative word. Of course, when he's out with Darya he makes sure to know where his wife is, but even when she's at work he still makes sure to be cautious. He tries not to let it be a problem, or at least, a problem that is visible to Darya. He tries his best, mind.

  179.
  180. ❲ BAD DECISIONS ❳
  181.
  182. •   why did she fall in love with a man whose heart is already taken? ::
  183. — HONESTLY? Darya doesn't really care. “Love is love,” she says, knowing full well what she's doing is wrong. She thinks he loves her more, and will not hesitate to argue all the reasons why.
  184.
  185. •   notable quotes of character ::
  186. — “BITCH, please.”
  187. — “THESE are the good times, love. After the initial nausea passes, but before the grinding comedown.”
  188. — “YOU make people want to impress you, you know? They're afraid to disappoint you.”
  189.
  190. •   theme song of character ::
  191. — UNFORGETTABLE BY FRENCH MONTANA.
  192.
  193. •   requested scenes with the other characters ::
