Will Hazbin be just a one dimensional story or a complex story?

from /hhg/ Helluva Hotel general #717
--------------------------------------
Will Hazbin be just a one dimensional comedy with one dimensional characters (like Family Guy or the Simpsons) or will it be a more complex story with an actual plotline and characters that stick with you for a longer time?
I believe that the former category tends to get a lot of unfair hate. Not all cartoons have to be like Steven Universe or She Ra & the Princesses of Power. Some cartoons are meant to be just harmless effortless entertainment that you just forget about it soon after you watch them.

Pretty sure it's the latter. With all the autistic info Vizie gave us, the side comics for the characters, and the pilot in general, it sure is giving off that "le epic serialized cartoon!" vibe

I'd hardly call golden age Simpson characters "one dimensional" but I feel that Hazbin Hotel will unintentionally become a one dimensional show with poor quality writing but super high quality animation. I feel that Helluva Bosses intention is to be the simpler comedy series and Hazbin is supposed to be the in-depth story/character driven series, but I feel that Vivziepop may not have the necessary talent to pull something like this off properly.

Figured helluva was the mostly 1 dimensional option, while hazbin was the long story one.

>le epic serialized cartoon!
What's wrong with serialized animated stories, in principle at least?
