AD practice log

18/7/2016

day 1. derusted child, learned new jabu switch strat, perfected my barinade fight. I also practiced the second part of child (from the savewarp after botw) a lot and it's pretty consistent now. I wanted to play oot in 240p on my CRT using RGB SCART using a trick I found on retrorgb.com (http://retrorgb.com/wiivsclassic.html) but I need a nunchuck which I didn't bring with me so I gotta order one from amazon. I did try SMW in 240p (since that game is 240p be default) and it looked pretty good with the scanlines. I'm curious to see what oot will looks like. I made a practice file for the start of adult.

day 2. I'm still pretty decent at boat skip and dampe. the seamwalk for shadow temple early was really finnicky at first but zas gave me some awesome tips and it's pretty fast and consistent now. I have no clue how the fuck to do the bottle on B method in the grotto though.

day 3. I did a lot. learned shadow cs skip, deathless bolero skip, and pretty much all the movement leading up to spirit temple. doom jump was still easy, I derusted DCWW (which went much more easily than expected considering how hard I thought it was when I first learned it), gate skip was still easy, wasteland is still kind of a pain in the ass, and spirit hover is easy as shit with all these chus. I received a nunchuck today and the 240p thing apparently doesn't work for N64 VC games. dang. for grotto RBA, I decided to carefully line up at the middle of the chest (instead of just lining up wherever and hoping for the best) and it's been pretty alright to me. I'm halfway into the run, and I think I still remember forest, fire and water pretty well, so if I keep going at this pace, I can do optimized segmented practice very soon.

day 4. couldn't do too much, but I did practice spirit bk skip quite a bit, learned nabooru cs skip (which was a pain in the ass because I had to watch the cutscene before the fight over and over again) and I learned the spirit cs skip. I still really need to work on my consistency for spirit bk skip and wasteland, but everything else in this part of the run is pretty easy.

day 5. I had very little time to play, mostly practiced spirit bk skip and twinrova fight. I tried to do the adult segment, but I had to try boat skip multiple times and it died at DCWW. still have some work to do there.

day 6. fuck wasteland, fuck spirit bk skip, fuck twinrova as twins, boss fight and as a motherfucking crew, and if you wanna be down with spirit temple, then fuck you too
