  1. Sitting here with my beautiful dog by my side, not feeling spectacular. Had to order dairy milk with my tea, way worse than soy. They can't even accommodate for lactose intolerant people? I bet they are the kind of people who say grin and bear it to the ill, the people who run this pub. I'm lucky I just prefer soy milk rather than actually have an allergy, or I would be stuffed.

  3. 1-0 up in matches but don't feel good about it, partly because my opponent salted off at me for beating him and him getting unlucky (not even especially so), partly because of the presence of one previously transphobic and horrible human (1-1 as I return to writing this and he beat me and THEN complained to me about variance) and his awfulness (backseat magic without consent around other matches and generally being a dick), and partly because there is a choir practicing about two metres from us. No, I'm not kidding. This is absurd. I hope round three doesn't last long since I want to go home soon (not that there is anyone that I could be paired against that I fancy playing). Also, I got deadnamed by the TO, he apologised profusely (and I know he didn't mean anything, he is legitimately lovely) but it still had an effect on me - and some other person is here and was having a go against Greta Thunberg and her environmental activism - and not in a 'white saviour' kind of way (which is a reasonable criticism as there are nonwhite kids who do similar work and get way less recognition) are but a properly shitty way, with my round 1 opponent practically egging him on - and I'm sure I heard a homophobic slur this evening from someone (not sure who), and I just don't feel particularly welcome - a few people (funnily enough the ones I speak to outside of necessity), who are wonderful as always (and a few others are fairly neutral in this respect, though one is a lot of energy). Why would someone who attended this as their first event ever come again? We need a better organised play structure here in Bath. One event every monday, biweekly friday night magic events and a weekend of prereleases every prerelease. That's it, if we are lucky - stuff gets cancelled or doesn't fire way more often than it should - with three FNMs being cancelled in a row last season (imagine buying a standard deck for a total of four to five standard events here in Eldraine). I understand that our tournament organising team do great work and have no ill will towards them whatsoever, but they are shackled by Waterstones.
