You pick up a stray pebble from the floor of the chamber, there are a few scattered about. You quickly slash open one of your fingers in order to paint a few runes on the pebble before you infuse it with a small amount of your magical energy.

The pebble you picked up quickly takes the form of a shining silver link. It should replicate itself endlessly when it is provided with enough magical energy by the surrounding area. It is normally something used to usurp control of the territory of lesser magi, but it could potentially act as a destructive influence even to a highly specialized bounded field created by even the most talented magi, it will likely be isolated and neutralized in short order, but until that time comes, it will disrupt whatever ritual is being made.
