  1. Hail and well met global gripers
  2.
  3. This is the tutorial on how to submit your sound clips for new voice command profiles to use in /hlgg/'s Sven Co-op saturday sessions!
  4. I will assume you know your way around ffmpeg (everyone should, it's really good!) and whatever downloaders you need to get your sound material, whether it be yt-dlp to grab from streams or downloading sounds from existing soundposts.
  5.
  6. Below are the default commands for the plugin that I will need you to follow a loose interpretaion of for your voice clips:
  7. >Follow Me
  8. >I'm with you
  9. >Help
  10. >Run away
  11. >Stop
  12. >Taunt
  13. >Chit-chat (basically used for whatever funny lines you want to put in)
  14. >Yes
  15. >No
  16. >Cheer
  17. >Hello
  18. >Thanks
  19. >You're welcome
  20. >Sorry
  21. You are free to make as many voice clips per command as you want!
  22.
  23. [SPECIAL BACKGROUND SOUND REMOVER THAT RUNS ON MAGIC]
  24. https://github.com/Anjok07/ultimatevocalremovergui
  25. If you wanted to make a voice clip but couldn't due to bgm or background noises, fear not! This program is very capable of removing either any sound except voices or the voices themselves!
  26. I would recommend using this on any voice clip that has bgm (probably most of them), while something like desk slams might be fine to leave in (unless they also have bgm, but at that point I'll probably clean it up myself)
  27.
  28. [SOUND FORMATTING]
  29. Make the filenames something conducive and easy to understand at a glance (yes01.ogg, yes02.ogg etc)
  30. For length, try not to have the sound last beyond the amount of time that the little sprite above your head in-game lasts (~3 seconds) (no big deal if it does, just don't go crazy).
  31. *After firsthand testing, 16bit 44100hz .wav files cut loading time (specifically the freezing you get on map change) in HALF! At rougly 27x the filesize in total, though.
  32. From now on I would like your final sound files be made with "-acodec pcm_s16le -ar 44100 -ac 1". No problem at all if you already made them as something else, it's no hassle for me to convert them to whatever format I need.
  33.
  34. [SUBMISSION FORMATTING]
  35. Put all of your voice clips in a zip/rar/whatever along with a txt listing who's voice it is (but I'll know by listening to it??? why did I put this???) and upload it to catbox.
  36. Make a post itt replying to this very post with your submission
  37. *EXTREMELY IMPORTANT: Make sure you include keywords like "voice commands" and "sven" so I can find it with archive searches
  38. Of course if I somehow miss the post you can simply bring it up during the next session and I'll get your voice pack from there
  39.
  40. [CUSTOM SPRITES]
  41. If you want to make a couple custom sprites to go with your voice pack, here's how I want it formatted:
  42. >32x32 image (You will probably have to do some touch-ups to make it look good) on a completely blue (0000FF) background
  43. >2 different .bmp files: the normal sprite and the sprite again except with it's brightness reduced by 50 points (not the background, that needs to stay as 0000FF)
  44. Because of the way the plugin works, I can't assign unique sprites to specific voice profiles, so be sure to add some custom sound clips to go with the custom sprite so I can put them in the "voice clips with custom sprites" section.
  45. *If you're unsure about how it may turn out then feel free to attach the original image and I'll see what I can do
  46.
  47. [QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS YOU MAY OR MAY NOT HAVE]
  48. >How do I need to organize the files?
  49. I will do all the things needed to put the files into the script for your submission
  50. >How far can I go with who I make the voice from?
  51. Obviously I want to get as many holo voice profiles in as possible, but as long as the character is within the bounds of /hlgg/ (Pika, Dante, Nose...) I will probably put them in.
  52. >What if the character I'm making a pack for alreay has a voice profile?
  53. Make it anyway! I can easily route the voice profile to use all the sounds submitted
