  1. Johnny Dunne (born Jonathan Dunne; August 11, 1952) is an Irish-American mobster and right-hand man of the infamous mob boss, Francis O'Reilly. Dunne earned his respect throughout the criminal underworld in the trucking industry, primarily by hi-jacking, stealing and smuggling narcotics and weapons in trucks that travelled through Montgomery.

  3. Dunne earned the nickname Johnny Forks after allegedly stabbing William O'Finnigan, an ex-Captain within the mob, with a kitchen fork.

  9. Dunne was born in Detroit, Michigan, to mother Caitlin and father Kevin, where he quickly gained a reputation for himself as a feared and respected mobster around his neighbourhood.
  10. He apparently took on numerous jobs for money, regardless of what he had to do, and was known for his silent but deadly attitude. Dunne relocated to Los Angeles in 1988 under the influence of James “The Boot” Fitzgerald, a Northern Irish criminal known for torturing his victims by cutting off their toes, giving him the nickname “The Boot”.

  12. On February 7, 1991, Dunne and a few unknown males entered the El Capiro Club, located in Long Beach. Ten minutes before the club was due to close, Dunne was stabbed in the lower back by Valentin Bondarenko, a member of the Russian mob, and was later confirmed as an assassination attempt. In 1992 Bondarenko was found dead in a car's trunk in East Los Angeles riddled with bullets of all different sizes, signalling there was more than one gunman.

  14. In 1983 Dunne married Claire Buckley with whom he had one child, Kevin (Born Kevin Dunne; January 1, 1981 – October 24, 2003). Kevin was killed in a car-jacking from a fatal gunshot wound to the head in East Los Angeles. Sources revealed Kevin wasn't involved with his father's work, but had a crack-cocaine addiction.
