background: born in lancaster england to a korean father and english mother, eden's childhood wasn't the smoothest. from the moment she was able to process even the slightest coherent thought, her parents along with her older brother all but shoved what she now considers "pureblood bullshit" down her throat. but, even as a young child, eden questioned it -- why should she discriminate against others just because their blood isn't 10000000% percent magical? what's the point of getting everyone to hate you when you honestly don't care about that kind of stuff? as a result, her parents all but ended up shunning her, favoring her brother HIGHLY above her and treating her like a deformity, the "black sheep" of the family. their relationship was just a "talk when you need to" basis until her father got particularly mad at her and tried to disown her; it was only because of her (slightly more) compassionate brother that she's still considered a descendant of the prestigious nam dynasty -- although she isn't sure how grateful she can be when she's put through the torture of still being related to such nasty people. the one thing her parents were able to agree she did manage to do correctly in her life, though, was get sorted into slytherin. when she was sent off to hogwarts, away from her family, eden was more overjoyed than anyone could have imagined. it was her big break, the best chance she would ever get to actually live freely, away from the suffocating grasp of her family. unfortunately, nothing seems to turn out in her favor: instead of the beautiful fantasy she had cooked up in her head, eden was greeted with constraining standards of the student body. because of her cute face and composed, graceful manner, as well as her illustrious family name, it was natural for people (even teachers) to assume she would be the best example of perfection there could be. too afraid to break away from the image set for her, eden instead resigned to conform to it, pressing herself into the mold so far that she chipped away the edges of hopes she had, becoming a slightly bitter person who only found solace in the (sometimes sadistic) pranks she thoughtfully planned out. her only friends were a sweet lil hufflepuff girl (either MAMA or FIRST LOVE?) who she managed to save from bullies (with a different face, considering she is a metamorphagus) and a fellow slytherin she managed to bond with over music, min yoongi.

personality: if you were to bring up eden nam with literally anyone in hogwarts, the one thing they would be able to unanimously agree on is that she is so fucking cute. her smile could light up a room, and she has a large aura that resonates warmth and home to basically everyone. acquainting yourself with her, it wouldn't be hard to see how endearing she is. she's always happy and willing to help with literally anything, no matter how small the matter is. she has a way of worming herself into your heart and making you want to be better just for her. to sum it up, her persona is nice in its purest form, and she seems like a perfect porcelain doll. but, they say the sorting hat is the best judge of character, and he certainly is. what most take too long to realize is that eden is a prime example of how there could be a storm brewing under the calmest surface. she was placed into slytherin upon her arrival to hogwarts for many reasons, the main one being because of how ambitious she is. stemming from her troubling childhood,she has an iron will and ALWAYS sees anything out until the end, no matter how insignificant it might come off as. she's dripping with determination, usually to prove how strong and smart, as well as independent she is. once she wants something, there's basically NOTHING that can stop her; if you try to get in her way, all i can do is wish you the best of luck because there's a definite chance you'll get decimated. as if her aspiration wasn't enough, eden might as well be completely and totally bat shit crazy because of her true nature. looks can often be deceiving, and despite looking like THE perfect angel, she's actually is the devil; don't worry if you didn't catch onto it, though, because she has everyone under her spell. she's manipulative as hell -- she has a way of making basically anything you give her blackmail material, and if its not sufficient enough, she'll coerce you into unknowingly doing something that will give her complete control over you. she's also EXTREMELY!!!! sadistic. not to over-exaggerate or anything, but she kind of enjoys seeing others in pain, as long as its not life threatening. she enjoys quidditch greatly because its her outlet, where she can release all the pent up emotions she has in her tiny body and not be judged because hey, its legal! she's the type who will ruin you without any remorse at all if you do something (even the smallest thing) to tick her off. accidentally spilled pumpkin juice on her books? your grades will never reach above a t now, and you'll never even know why. made an offhand comment about how hot you think her current fling is? well, you can kiss your social life and any chance of having a boyfriend goodbye, because some nasty rumors are about to be circling about from an unknown source. lord help you if you make her mad (which happens a lot because of the most arbitrary reasons) because if you do, you're basically committing suicide. another problem borne from the harshness of her parents and home life is the fact that she is completely and utterly pessimistic. she has NO positive outlook on life, and sees everything in a theoretical black and white filter: everything she hates and everything she's able to tolerate. one of the few things she is able to tolerate is physical contact winK WONk. because she's so beautiful and comes off as perfect, eden doesn't have a lack of male suitors; the hot ones are those that she takes advantage of. she's rumored to have various flings throughout the months, rendezvousing in random broom cupboards and sometimes even the room of requirement -- of course, these have never been proven because she's essentially the golden girl of the school. although it seems like this "craziness" is all there is to eden, its actually only one of her many shells. the true eden is a desolate girl who grew up, her life void of any love, and doesn't know how to deal with anything she feels. she channels her "emotions" through her studies, quidditch, and the boys she messes around with, and wants more than anything to be a strong and independent person to prove to her parents that she's grown to be a fine young lady despite their rejection of her. she often doesn't respond to jabs and other things that would affect girls normally, but underneath, they pierce her more than one could ever imagine. she's EXTREMELY sensitive, and is essentially just a naive adolescent who longs to be understood and accepted for who she is, something that she has yet to find in the majority of people she encounters in her life.

  ◽ DEFENSE AGAINST THE DARK ARTS + MUGGLE STUDIES / its the subject(s) where she's able to learn basically everything that combats her parents sole existence (which is actually the reason she signed up for the elective in the first place) but, additionally, she's found that she genuinely enjoys the theory as well as the practicum of each, and she's never found something as fascinating as everything that muggles do -- which could be borne from the fact that, as humans, we want what we "can't have."

how they act in school: if you were just a random student who happened to stumble across her, the first thing that would come to mind is preppy student council president type person. she's always involved in everything, and could be considered the teacher's pet with how magnificent her grades are and just how much she excels in practically everything. she's that one girl who knows EVERYONE'S name, and makes  you feel special simply by saying hi to you in the hall or waving to you after classes. often, many girls envy her, and many guys want her; however, the select few who actually know she's batshit crazy (cough all of her ex boyfriends) can always be seen scoffing at the absurdity of others who have fallen for her charm.

patronus: eden actually struggles quite a lot with creating a patronus simply because her reservoir of happy memories isn't exactly full. during the first years of her life and basically anything that required her to spend time around her family was, to put it simply, pure torture. when she was finally able to leave them and stay at hogwarts for the whole year, it was so much better -- in most aspects. but, people assumed she was a sweet girl, and she ended up going along with it, not being able to show her true colors except around her closest friend, a cute hufflepuff who she befriended after saving her from some lil bitchy slytherins. when she tries to cast her patronus charm, she basically ends up thinking of her best friend, and after a few (hundred) tries, she finally managed to create a corporeal patronus, which took on the form of a TIGER; a strong and independent character, that can actually be quite dark and cynical despite its bold and confident colors.

other: is a METAMORPHAGUS, something that has a long history within her pureblood family but has skipped quite a few generations. actually one of the contributing factors to how mischievous and manipulative she can be; abuses this gift more than she should.

how you meet: eden had actually gotten extremely tired of kissing up to people and decided it was once again to have some fun (unfortunately, not in the way she was hoping for, but hey, she'll take what she can get.) normally, she didn't try to pull tricks on people in broad daylight, but on this particular day she was feeling VERY scandalous, and decided that the next person to walk through the dada classroom door is who she would be for this escapade -- she was planning on sneaking into filch's office to look for the famous marauders map owned by THE harry potter. a few moments later, a perky hufflepuff she wasn't too familiar with but knew went by taehyung practically bounced into the classroom; despite having basically a polar opposite personality from eden, she welcomed the challenge. she sprung into action right after class ended, taking on his appearance with her metamorphagus powers and heading straight for filch's office. once she arrived, she tried to creep in quiet and unnoticed... keyword being tried. unfortunately for her, she wasn't the most graceful as the much taller boy (she wasn't exactly used to the newly acquired height) and ended up making a loud ruckus. long story short, filch sent someone to check and see what was happening, and eden ended up greeting taehyung... while she was taehyung.

  ◽ BEG | if we're being honest, eden tries to avoid him at all costs. her dirty secret has been discovered by someone (and a hufflepuff of all people!) so its understandable that she doesn't know how to handle it. she tries her hardest to take it in stride, honestly, but she really doesn't know how to deal with TRULY perky people either, so its easier just to avoid him. eventually, she decides that she can't have her personal info leaking out, and confronts him to blackmail him -- and is left gaping once more at his simple answer to the threats he wasn't even able to understand.
  ◽ MID | honestly, despite being quite confused about him (because he's basically an enigma to her,) she finds herself hanging out with him more and more, to the point where they do essentially everything together. as they familiarize themselves with each other, she starts to notice what she considers her "burdens" lightening as he does sweet and thoughtful things after picking up on things about her that she didn't even know herself. he makes her happier and happier with the ways he tries to make her comfortable in her own skin, and be confident with who she is and not who people expect her to be. after befriending him, she isn't able to grasp AT ALL why she didn't get to know him sooner?
  ◽ END | but, she can't believe she didn't notice it before -- there's something that he's been shouldering himself too. when she accidentally discovers his secret of being a werewolf, she feels something she's honestly never EVER felt before. the foreign feeling urges her to take care of him, and do something selfless for once. so, just like he made things better for her, she works her hardest to make his situation as much better as she possibly can, even going so far as to promote his lycanthropy awareness campaign. and, she isn't sure where, but somewhere along the way, she fell so deep in love with him that she can't crawl out; she also comes to realize that, unlike what she used to fantasize, love is a two way street, and she can't live being loved but not loving.

how he acts around you:
  ◽ BEG | he thinks its the coolest thing in the fucking world that she's a metamorphagus,,, like? imagine how lit you can make basically everything. (he's ngl, his first thought was if she was having sex with somebody, could she make herself look like natalie portman?) but aside from that, he's SO excited because of her and has to resist from sticking to her like glue. of course, he understands why she wouldn't want everyone to know about her weird ability, and so he doesn't tell anyone; when she "asks" him why he hasn't, he says he'll exchange a secret so they'll be indebted; she was expecting something ginormous,,, and instead learned that he was an avid believer in aliens.
  ◽ MID | nonetheless, the continue to hang out, and he learns lots of things about her; she interests him a lot, besides being a metamorphagus, because of her dynamic personality and the little quirks that make her, her. despite being not all that bright, he's actually strangely perceptive (which is why the hat considered putting him in ravenclaw) and notices the teeniest, tiniest things about the way she acts, and does his best to make things better for him because he's a nice person and genuinely doesn't want her to be sad like he can tell she really is?
  ◽ END | he didn't think it was possible, but everything she does for him at this point make him love her more and more. he doesn't know how to convey how much it means to him that she's accepting of his condition that he's spent SO LONG being self conscious of, and the fact that she, a girl who he'd noticed was the epitome of lost in herself and selfish (with a cause) was doing something for him, a guy she didn't even know before this year, makes his heart swell SO MUCH and tbh he's just so grateful that he's even able to be friends with such an amazing person that nobody else is able to understand.
