  1. Balto grinned as Kibin snarled and said those words. A boar really was usually. He couldn't believe his luck of napping in the sun and running into ANOTHER one but Balto wouldn't let it go to waste, certainly. Again, two arrows however, this time. Modified by tearing the feathers on either end so they would waver out from each other as he loaded them onto his string, glancing over to Kibin with a smirk as he heard the praise. "Great fighting, Son!" was praised back, tail waving side to side fast. Hackles rose as lips peeled back, twitching back to flash those canines at him. Smiling brightly as Kibin insulted and laughed at the fight. Interesting turn of events, not that Balto was at all complaining. "Likely with those pricks along his fur he did." With a snort, he'd release his bow string, letting the arrows fly where they may before shifting his feet once more on the branch, getting a little closer to hover over the fight below him. Nose sniffing out any other potential scents>>
  2. Balto just in case the squealing boar was bringing...company with it. Meanwhile the boar seemed to be irritated by the still moving way larger maned wolf that was standing in between it's original target, Balto. So it's head with those dangerous tusks that had already been coated with Kibins blood went to swing at him again, only to kick those back feet at the tree.
  3.
  4. Kibin laughed happily of course as the boar attacked the tree and then would focus on him. The maned wolf released a loud roarbark again with his jaws wide open as his swords both clashed against the tusks to defend himself from the boar's tusks. He roarbarked again and swung his left one which clashed on the boar's tusks when it defended itself. It didn't stop his right one that swiped against the beast's body with a clean slice but it bounced off from bone without cutting too deep. He smirked and would enjoy the thwag of one arrow with the second bouncing off from the beast's body, probably another bone shot. "HAH! Have at you you beast." He would draw his sickles back and spun them expertly in his paws before holding them at the ready with a snarl leaving his maw.

  6. Anarion huffed as he wandered through the jungle. Nose wrinkled and arms crossed over his chest as he reluctantly searched for his sister who had wandered away without a word. A mad search out of concern for her safety, he would completely discount his own as he made his way, practically unarmed except a somewhat dull knife on his hip he had been using to carve up some wood earlier. "If she's not already dead, Im gonna kill her" he'd mutter under his breath. Ears would swivel on his skull when he heard a commotion further ahead, bringing him pause. Arkaine would drop to a crouch to approach with caution to what sounded to him like a fight of some sort, or maybe a hunting party? He wasn't sure but he would still make his way carefully to try to get a better view. Instead of just wandering like a dumbass into the middle of whatever was happening, which would be on par for him, he would hoist himself up into a nearby tree and watch from some distance. (c)
  7. Anarion knew all too well he wasnt prepared for anytime of tussle at this time. So he'd choose not to get involved, but rather just observe from the sidelines. That's when he'd notice the two fighting a...pig? Squinting at the faces of those involved and to his surprise he would find a somewhat familiar face. Chuckling to himself for recognizing the Arkaine as being the weirdo who was staring down him and his sister the other day. He'd settling in, still grinning in expectation of an entertaining fight. Eyes darting back and forth as they tore at the beast. Having been hastily forced through his formative years, he didn't have much experience with such things, and was amazed watching these two.
  8.
  9. Balto the boar wasn't nearly at any advantage against Balto and Kibin, for once. It wasn't an even match for the poor thing. It had certainly snuck up on snoozing Balto, but now nothing was. Evident as that temporarily german brown shipped tipped ears swiveled towards Anarion. He was making far too much noise. Purple eyes widened at the sight of him, why the FUCK was he here!? Panic rose and nervousness rose up all around him, but Balto hearing Kibins laugh seemed to snap him back to the combat at the moment, still glancing at Anarion as he pulled back his bow with those arkaine runes still engraved on the now plain wooden bow. Arrow knocked and it flew once more, snorting in amusement with a slight grin rising on his face towards Kibin as he watched him be all...aggressive and warrior like. "Faeries, Kib?" If this changed lasted...Balto had a lot to teach the boy. >>
  10. Balto meanwhile the boar, about to face death and knowing it, tried to turn tail and run, aiming to dart off from the jungle, but leaving quite a trail Balto COULD follow, however distraction and heartache was slapping him in the face. Could he talk to him this time? He didn't know, but at least this time he was able to keep his head above water. "Hello." spoken anxiously in Arkaine, purple eyes finally shifting to his son, ear flicking off to the side as tail swayed side to side and maw parted to pant to clearly show off his anxious state. But he couldn't bring himself to fake around his own blood. "Enjoying the show?" teasing tone clearly ringing out with playful intentions that still coupled with anxiousness
  11.
  12. Kibin would smirk as Balto's shot whizzed over his shoulder right at the Boar's body bringing it nearly to its heel. The maned wolf would quickly jump in with a roar bark with both sickles slicing in cross to slice the beast's throat wide open with blood pouring out from every hole. He smirked proudly whilst spinning his blades. "Fairies? No clue." He banged the blades together with enough force to cause sparks to fly from them before spinning them to sheathe them. Behind him the boar fell to its knees gurggling the blood from its throat and fell to its side to squirm and kick in its death. Kibin didn't even look at it he was facing Balto with a smirk and without a word he drew out a knife from his belt and spun it. "Oh company hm?" He eyed at Ana's direction with a smirk. "Hahaha, he didn't join the glorious hunt!" He simply stepped up to the boar and tossed the knife to the ground first to grab at the beast's neck to pull the head back to drain the blood from that throat.>
  13. Kibin would squeeze the body to dry it up from it. "He gets the bones!" He would declare proudly and would drop the carcass to the ground. "Or, he carries it." He nodded his head. "That is how hunters do it." Another affirming nod. He would reach out for his knife on the ground and pulled it up. He rubbed the blade to the beast's fur to clean it up. "Skin here or in Tether eh eh, Father?" He stood tall with the knife in his paw. Indeed he was different looking. His arms were thicker and his upper torso had muscle on it. He looked far more prouder, stronger and skilled than before. (e)
  14.
  15. Anarion definitely thought he had been far more sneaky than he was. But, he wasn't really trying to hide from the two canines, he just didn't want to be gored by some boar. But when the other Arkaine allowed the boar to run towards the woods without trailing it, Ana would rise to his feet, keeping his balance by wrapping an arm around the trunk of the tree. "You're gonna just let it go?" he shouted, pointing in the direction the creature took off in. Hazel eyes widening as the other made quick work of the animal before it even had a chance of escaping, "Oh...nevermind." Ana figured he was too far in now to just leave with the excitement over. Hopping down from his perch only to land wrong, sending pain up his leg and making him wince through clenched teeth. Hopping on one foot for a step as he recovered and tried to play it off like nothing happened. "I mean, sorta," he'd reply to the other Arkaines teasing with honesty. (c)
  16. Anarion. "Sorry if I distracted you," apology would be given but lacked sincerity in his tone as he approached the duo. He found the way the one who had killed the boar talked to be odd and he would quirk a brow while casting glances between the two. "Erm, father?" Clearly they Arkaine was not this fellow's father. Hand would casually raise and he'd release a somewhat nervous chuckle, "Im good off that, thanks," words directed towards Kibin and the mention of recieving bones or performing manual labor. Not that he was lazy, but he didn't know them, and didn't want a part of their boar.
  17.
  18. Balto The question had Baltos proud smirk raising on his maw. Let it Go? Oh did he think he did things like that? Bullshit. That arrow had left without Balto aiming, just to prove his expert level on that bow and hunting mannerisms. It was the scent, the fear that allowed Balto to aim really, without looking. And fired expertly into the Boars neck, at the same time of course, that Kibin lodged his own slice at the downed boar that Balto had indeed, clipped at, without even LOOKING at his target. Show off. Perhaps. But in front of his son? How could you NOT? Shaking his head side to side. "Of course not." came his reply. "Hunter by trade in Tether." was stated, gesturing to the building. "Can't let my money run off." Chuckling lightly as his tail swayed to side. But clearly, he was confident that both of them, in reality, had it. "I think so Kibs." switching to common with ease even as Ana refused to clearly speak Arkaine to him, not that Balto MINDED the wariness. >>
  19. Balto nor manners. He knew Sybilla and Tawa had to have taught them that, certainly didn't come from him. The fake tone clearly smelled more than heard. All he could heard was his heart beating in his chest wildly, way faster then Kibin likely had ever seen it pulsing, flaring out that brilliant orange color. "Seems so." came his reply as Kibin laughed at him for not joining the hunt, Balto pointed that unarmed bow at him. "Manners." Tip pointed at him before swinging it over his back and watching as Ana fell, smirking. "Land on one foot, softens the fall." was stated to the Arkaine boy. He knew the boys true age. Proving his truth, he jumped off the tree himself, landing harshly on one foot while the other simply landed a second after his first foot. Tucking the other leg back to really show Ana how it was done, only to grunt as Kibin asked that. Shrugging as Ana said that, ears flicking back halfway. "Jungle isn't safe...you aren't wearing any armor or weapons..." >>
  20. Balto stepping up closer to him as he sniffed him over. Smelling only his daughter for the most part on him was relieving. No girlfriends yet, thusly not following his own footsteps in his past life...so far. "You suicidal?" was whined, clearly worried by that tone that accompanied that question, shaking his head. "We'll escort you back. Kibin skin it here." Smirking halfway as Ana said that word, glancing to Kibin and then back to Ana. No doubt Kibin could smell it. "How often you use your nose? Balto." was offered up in Arkaine. "He'd have to pay for anything he wanted, or would owe a hunt with me." Was mentioned in reply to Kibins offer, glancing to Ana as he said a simple no thanks. "Besides, I bet he can hunt just fine." If he was Baltos son, surely he had a natural knack for it, he couldn't see Arilyae NOT raising them to learn bow at the very least to use!
  21.
  22. Kibin would absentmindedly listen to the conversation. He twitched his large ear with a confirmation. He wanted no part in it? Fine, no pay for him, no fur no meat or guts. The maned wolf played with the knife and tossed it in to the air and caught it upon hearing Balto to tell him to skin the prey. "Hah! No armor is best armor! So free, so liberating!" He would arch his body. "You don't get HIT and that's how you win." He would declare whilst holding the knife in his paw. He spun it and then sunk it to the boar's gut and would begin to saw. He sliced the stomach open to spill the guts all over the grass. "Mhmhm! More bow strings!" He called to balto and gathered the intestines and spilled them to the ground. He smirked at the two whilst he begun to skin the hide. He expertly manouvered his blade as he slid and diced the fur and skin to easily drag and skin the beast. He rolled it to its back to get to the other side. All the while he whistled some unknown tune he must've heard in Tether>
  23. Kibin was contently working on the deer whilst letting the two Arkaine's talk. Oh yeah, indeed he must be under fairy influence! (e)
  24.
  25. Anarion clearly misjudged their plans for the boar and nodded, clearly impressed. He just wasn't used to watching other hunters. Ana himself hunted mostly alone, and was fairly new to it, so he didn't go after such a large target himself, not yet at least. So it was fun for him to observe, fun and dangerous, because now he had all sorts of big ideas spinning around that head of his. "Impressive," was all he offered in response to the mention of being a hunter by trade. Ana was typically a talkative one, but being alone and unarmed, he was being more cautious than usual. His attitude coming forth a bit as he scoffed a bit at being schooled in how to jump from a tree. He had hoped it had gone unnoticed and was clearly displeased for being called out about his mistep, "noted." He wanted to tell him to mind his own business but he was raised better. Ana continued to speak common. (c)
  26. Not out of anything against Balto, but to not leave Kibin out of the conversation, since he was just meeting the pair. He watched Kibin field dress their kill as he spoke to Balto. "Uh, I forgot my weapons when I headed out. I was looking for my sister." Pausing, remembering then why he was out there in the first place. "Oh...shit. You haven't seen her by chance." Hand pointing to his own hair, "She has a butt load of this color hair, is yay tall," hand rested at his chest, "And usually reaks of flowers?" He figured Balto had seen her the other day when they made eye contact in the tether, but he didnt discount the fact that the other Arkaine could have been looking behind them or at something else entirely. "Anarion, by the way," He'd offer his name up to them, still speaking in common. He didn't understand the nose comment, so he left it alone. "And I'll be fine." he waved a passive hand at Balto's concern. (c)"
  27. Anarion smirked at mention of his hunting ability. "I do okay with a bow." He just didn't have it today. Pointing to Kibin in agreement about the no armor comment, touching his nose to illustrate that he nailed it.
  28.
  29. Balto the word Impressive had Balto snorting, rolling his eyes. "Hardly." was stated, grinning over at him. "But thanks. Your praise means much." was...that sarcasm? If it WAS it was light playful and hardly at all snide, but definitely had a sarcastic ring to it none the less, sincerity not found in those words. Although truthfully, it felt good for the kid to even call his dad Impressive. If you knew the truth you wouldn't be saying that. Was thought to himself, watching Anarion continue to use Common, and scoff at his advice as if he had a handle on it. Yep, definitely his genes showing in there. All these thoughts swimming in his head as he stared and watched his kid, only to jerk his head over as as Kibin shouted that, watching Ana and him clearly share those thoughts. "Yeah, till a Naga bites at you with it's fangs and poisons you." was muttered flatly, shaking his head as his ears folded flat. Squinting at him. Sister? Gone? Fucken great. Maybe she had more of the wanderlust >>
  30. Balto troublesome habits then this twin wonder of hers. "Don't know if we'd sell a lot of bows, Kibin. Keep the fat aside for Valontras." Speaking the Godess name with clear reverence as sunset eyes betrayed no inner emotions while he watched him talk of using the bow okay. Nodding, his eyes searched the jungle, only to look back to Ana, shaking his head. "Haven't seen her. But I know who you're talking about...what's her name? I can help look for her if you want." after all, kid had HIS partial scent, and he DEFINITELY had memorized THEIR unique signature scents. But Balto knew to look less like a creeper to his own true son, Balto had to fake it. So he intentionally sniffed Ana over a bit more, as if searching for her scent on him only to sniff the jungle over. "Kibin, let's hurry this up." was stated to him, striding past Ana once more, careful not to bump shoulders or brush even fur against him as he went to grasp a blade from his own sheath and started to carve out that pelt>>
  31. Balto with fast deft hands. "Get the skull in a sack, gonna need the brain matter for making it usable for against this damn rain in here." was grumbled, tail swaying side to side as he kept trying to tell himself. It's okay, Balto. It's okay to talk to your son, to be around your son. It's okay. It's not okay to lie. Wince. He would tell him...in time. Maybe. Before the Faeries left, likely...just in case they would revert back...at least there would be one thing they couldn't leave behind them when they did. He knew the deadline now, in fact aimed for it. Aimed for it to be long and lengthy because this...might be the only few times he got with his own kids. Thick swallow as hands started to shake.
  32.
  33. Kibin would lift his paw up. "But Brain is good food!" He would protest whilst he would look at the skull as if it was its fault. He huffed and would use the knife to hack at the spine. He growled and used his strength to simply PULL the head loose from its body with a loud splurt . "Oops." He let out. "I think something the boar lost its head eh, EH?" He asked jokingly whilst wiggling the head. He even gripped the chin to make it move. "I'm a dumb lil beast, my mother is my cousin" he cackled at the imitation and would then pat his clothing "Heee, you didn' bring a sack father, did ya?" He asked curiously as he looked around. "I didn't, I wasn't supposed to hunt, I was supposed to...what was I doing again?" He rubbed his chin. He didn't remember so he shrugged his shoulders and would clap the blades on his sides with a huff and would hoist the carcass to his shoulders as if it weights nothing. (e)
  34.
  35. Anarion smirked at the sarcasm in Balto's words, being no stranger to it himself. Instead chuckling softly show show that he was in on the joke. Typically he would have been rather dramatic in telling him you're welcome, perhaps even tossing a bow in there. But it didn't seem like the place. He didn't have a clue who this guy was, nor did he catch on to their relation, but he could tell that this stranger had taken an odd interest in him. His attention now was split as he turned away from them and squinted into the jungle. Maybe, if Isi didn't always wear those damned flowers, he wouldn't have been drawn here looking for her. But since she wasn't in the garden, this was the next best place for flora. She was definitely the more adventurous twin, often dragging him around with her as a bodyguard. "Yeah, Naga, right." he muttered absent mindedly as he tried to figure out his next move. (c)
  36. Anarion was tempted to take the offer of heading back to the Tether with them, but affraid to head back if his sister was out here. Dissappointed that this pair hadn't seen her pass through, "I guess she isn't this way. Maybe I will head back for my gear, then try again." Chances are she would be at home when he got there, that's how it usually worked out. "I call her Isi" he replied, not wanting to give her full name to the stranger. Ana watched them mutilate the boar and wrinkled his nose some at the 'talking' head before letting out another one of his nervous chuckles. "I, uh, think im gonna head back." He had convinced himself now that Isi hadn't come this way, and planned to check for her more inside the actual Tether before heading home to see if she beat him back. "Nice meeting you both."
  37.
  38. Balto as Kibin argued, Balto squinted, ears laid flat and stern gaze resonated in those sunset eyes. Truly show casing that fatherly nature. "He calls me Father because I'm 202 years old...Kibin, how old are you?" he asked the kid, smirking over at him with ears flicking back halfway. "And respects me and looks up to me as a son would so." shrugging as he glanced over his shoulder at Ana, only to be splatterd and splayed with boar blood, sighing while Kibin made jokes with the skull, eyeing him with a clearly grave look of why the fuck are you doing this in front of my ACTUAL kid absolutely fed up look. Grumbling, Balto ears fell to the sides. "But you should approach her...with all this blood all over us and being strangers, she'll assume the worst. Should use your nose, Anarion." that was a good name. A beautiful name, really. Nodding as he pulled out a sack, letting Kibin plop in the skull and...attached spine. In which Balto after smearing off all the fat, >>
  39. Balto plopped it into the sack, tied it to the belt and closed it, glancing over at Anarion. "Do me a favor next time though? Don't want to see any Arkin die. Bring a damn weapon. Naga are near here and they ain't friendly to our kin. Not to mention these?" he tapped his crystals. "Big money to trade in a arkin for a slave. And several people do it illegally around here. So just...be prepared next time." was muttered, hoping that the kid would at least learn that lesson. Still at least he had Baltos heart, he could tell that for certain. How many times in his past had he left his weapons and armor behind to go search for Soko when she was running off? Simliar past, simliar things brought good memories through, allowing his hand to calm down and slice through the pelt cleanly and fast. Twirling it in his hand before he'd slice the raw meat in quarters, setting it in a separate sack which he gave to Kibin to carry after clearly salting the sack.>>
  40. Balto pausing mid mad cow slaughterhouse to look up to Ana. The chuckle of course, had Balto flashing a nervous smile at the kid. Was he still panting? This entire time? Yes. Yes he was. Because he was ANXIOUS AS FUCK. This whole fucken altercation wasn't supposed to happen for another 50 plus YEARS and yet. Here it was, a year later....nodding as he said Naga, right. "Big snakes. Scale." clearly he could tell by a twitch of his nose now that he had somewhat calmed his mind, that Ana was slightly confused. "Tall as fuck and half way human as well. Fast as a damn regular snake too, if you ain't careful. Tribal, much like where you're from." Oh. Holy. Shit. Did he just let on that he knew what TRIBE he was from? Yes, a slip up. Minor, but one enough no doubt to cause Ana to do a DOUBLE take at this "stranger". Nodding as Ana made up his mind. "Gear is important around here...don't trust easy. You're doing alright so far Anarion." was he...praising him? >>
  41. Balto glancing up at him as he spoke of heading back, offering a half hearted smile as his tail wagged and nodded, still panting. Lifethorn still going crazy with that light. "Right uh...be safe." was stated with more...sincerity in that tone then anything he had said prior, with a softened look briefly glinted in those sunset eyes before he shifted his attention back to the task, yanking out some organs and placing them aside, severing connections nicely. Aurora would pay nicely for these. "Careful of the rest of the organs please...Kib..." was muttered to him, clearly waiting to really talk to him until Ana was out of ear shot.
  42.
  43. Kibin would naturally toss the head into it with a bit of spine in the mix. He shoved into the sack and would pat the skinned animal's flesh. "Oop, almost forgot." He would snap his fingers and quickly moved over to the rear of the beast. He tugged the scrawny tail up and would release a loud "Hahaa!" He would pull a sickle sword from his belt and simply sliced it out and then stood up holding a large ballsack. "Boy this one gots some!" He would say proudly. "You need this for anything?" He asked whilst he jiggled the ballsack at Balto. Yeah right in front of his right biological son. "I'm 23." He said with a nod of his head. "I think, I might turn 24 soon." He rubbed his chin whilst still jiggling the jinglebells in his paw. Some might actually pay money for what he had it was worth. He didn't even register the two, after all they were from same species and had their rituals. He would be aware of it if only- well he wasn't like so now. >
  44. Kibin tossed the ballsack to the carefully arranged organs if it was needed or otherwise he'd drop it to the sack with rest of the bits whilst cleaning the sickle to the ground. "Hmhm." He let out as he would pull some rope from his pouch to tie up the legs of the boar together so they wouldn't dangle too much. Hinds and then forelegs. It was ready for transport in his mind. "Shall we head back to the GLORIOUS Tether?" (e)
  45. Anarion laughed a bit, "Dang man, you're ancient!" tone was playfull, "Lived through the war, huh?" He wasn't actually asking him about his experience in the war, just making a crack about his age. Which he knew wasn't well founded, due to the Ark aging process. "Well that's all good. I have a pretty decent old man myself." A nod was given in agreement that Isi wouldn't appreciate being approached with strangers doused in blood. Actually, with how she felt about Balto when they saw him in the Tether he assumed she wouldn't react well to him approaching her period. The removal of the boars balls had Ana press his knees together and grit his teeth. Yikes. He'd pause to compose himself before continuing the conversation "23? You're a youngen'." (c)
  46. Ana should have still been an infant, do to some unfortunate circumstances he was currently 50 years young with a head full of faux memories. He'd take Balto's warning to heart, "Okay, I will be more careful, I know it's not safe here, that is why I panicked when my sister wasn't home. " He would quirk a brow at the mention of his tribe and Ana would give Balto a sideways glance. A little seed of suspicion being planted in the back of his mind. How did this stranger know what tribe he was from? But he wouldn't speak on it, instead mentioning the snakes and gear, "I'll be better equipped for the journey next time. " His face would give it away that he found this final exchange odd and he would scratch the back of his head as he walked back towards the Tether, glancing back at them once or twice before dissapearing into the trees."
  47.
  48. Balto dang man you're ancient, lived through the war? Still Anas laugh seemed to brighten him a bit, it was seen along that face as sunset eyes looked up in wild delight. When Kibin removed the balls and dangled them in Baltos face mid convo with his son, eyes narrowed and hackles rose, teeth flashing as a clear WARNING to Kibin. "Get them in the sack with organs, right. now." was cooly stated, sunset eyes flashing Kibin such an angry look. "Yes, I did. And the losses were heavy amongst the tribe I had been in. My losses were before...so I just...tried to carry them forward." But failed. And fell. And went so far sideways that even his own kin hated him. Despised him. "Got enslaved for a couple of months when we landed her...got lost in the...darkness of the building." His sunset eyes shifted over to building of Tether. Why couldn't he muster a fake facade with his own kid? Because deep down, Balto knew they deserved the truth. And nothing more. >>
  49. Balto cleared his throat, shoulders rolled back. "No tribe came for me, but that's because you are weak if you are captured. And I was weak, I guess. Not fit for warrior title." Shrugging as he licked his chops. "Gave it my best shot though, so I try not to hate myself." smiling half-heartedly at him. He knew what old man Ana spoke of, and Balto seemed to nod in agreement. "You do, a bit soft though. Be sure to guard your heart eh? Most important feature of a man." Eyeing Kibin pointedly as he said that, eyebrow rose. Oh he wasn't an idiot. Kibin had likely been drowning himself in books and Allicias training to avoid the truth of the matter of him and Kenzi. The last question had Balto shaking his head. "Not yet, still gotta dice those hind quarters and get those bones and tusks removed..." was muttered to Kibin, recognizing that look across Anas face after he took Baltos warning at heart, which had him slightly, ever so slightly more relieved. >>
  50. Balto nodding as Ana reassured him that he would, watching the boy trek off with a worried panged look across his face as he swallowed thickly, eyes closing briefly as his tail twitched, head hung, tail curling around his haunches as his grip on that boar tightened suddenly. He was gasping for breath. Was it going to be the last time he ever saw them? Likely. After he just told the kid, truthfully, that he had been exiled in a way? Very likely. Even though he had truthfully chosen Kerl, the tribe would always likely state it as exile, he wasn't an idiot...after all. never had been.
  51.
  52. Kibin got a stern scolding from Balto and he would shrug his shoulders. "Fine, I wanted to show off these, I bet even you ain't got this size, daymn I don't!" He would cackle as he would drop them to the bag only to hear splosh on it. "Uhoh, the boar came in our sack." He would sigh and begun to scoop up the filth from the bag. "Oh its sticky and everywhere!" At this point his noises were back ground for Balto and Ana's heartfelt conversation. Kibin groaned as he had to dice the hind legs and remove tusks and all the things. He huffed and crossed his paws before his chest. "Well if they come about we get more, I always wanted snakeskin vest, I'd look sexy in one." He considered that the scent might draw in nagas but heck he was brave now. Braver than most and he knew no fear! >
  53. Kibin noticed that Ana was leaving and he saw Balto staring off after him and thus he came next to his father whilst holding one of the removed tusks. "Ya know, he called her sis Isi, did you know that that word actually also means "Daddy?"." He smirked and would stand proudly with his chest held high. He was mighty warrior esq right that point with his lean muscled body. (e)
  54. Anarion wasn't expecting to get such a story behind his joke about the war. And it made him feel bad for joking about such a thing. Ears folding against his skull and he awkwardly glanced around, "I guess I shouldn't joke about such things." He knew Balto was old enough to be alive during the war, but he didnt assume he was actually in it. In fact the whole story kinda left him shifting uncomfortably. He was the type to make jokes in such situations, but it didnt seem like the right time for that, especially since this was about their people. "Im sorry about all of that." Personally, he didnt buy in to all the tribes dealings. There were things he agreed with, and things he didnt. Abandoning the weak wasn't one of them. But of course the guy who follows his sister around day and night to keep her safe isn't going to just be okay with abandoning people because they weren't strong. (c)
  55. Anarion grew more and more suspicious of Balto the more they talked. Starting to catch on that he knew something that Ana didnt. As Ana was out off sight and well on his way back, he decided in himself that he planned to speak with Balto again. He knew something...but for now, he was just happy to be getting away from Kibin with that boar.
  56. Balto the way the kid reacted SHOCKED him, Balto stared up at him with ears springing up in surprise, maw parting in shock. _I guess I shouldn't have joked about such things._ "Nonsense, if you can't joke about the bad stuff, how is it ever looked at as good building blocks in your life?" There was Arilyae, something she would say certainly to her grandkids. And it sounded RIGHT out of Baltos mouth with LITTLE effort. Shrugging as Ana apologized. "Don't apologize for making light of a situation. It's what brings joy in other peoples lives, even if it hurts them slightly as well. Always be that light, Anarion. Always." Okay, DAD. Someone was definitely putting on those dad boots without even recognizing it, but how could he NOT. Kid had Syblllas eyes...that kid was HIS. And he knew Kibin knew it or Kibin wouldn't be acting so damned goofy at the moment. Watching those eyes gleam with intellgience for that brief moment as they glanced into each others eyes once more time >>
  57. Balto had Balto smirking, heart bursting with pride. It washed over him even as Ana gave him that suspicious curious stare. He'd be back then...relief washed over him and fear carried alongside it. >>
