Greetings Everyone

I'd like to thank Laras for her post because it also reflects my views on elections. As many have already stressed before, elections aren't meant to be negative and they allow room for thought and discussion. As we are not a dictatorship it is also healthy that we have them. It's great that there are those including our current leader who care enough about our leadership to take on the role and others who have posted their opinions and thoughts on the matter. This is the kind of discussion that I would like to see continue on our newsboards as it strengthens communication which I as well as others have been concerned about.

I'd also like to add that though I've contested Veldrin because there are some issues that I feel he has not adequately addressed this does not mean I have anything personal against him. I do not believe for a moment that I am a paragon of virtue or a picture of perfection, I am merely mortal afterall. Despite these flaws which we all have I believe each Crystalline is wonderful and gifted in their own way. However, this does not mean I will pretend that there are no issues as that is detrimental to us as a whole.

In regards to some of Beatrice's questions I will first answer, "Do you expect each House leader to act exactly the same as the last?". This question I have to say is quite odd because if I that were the case then I wouldn't believe in leadership ever changing. The fact that I am contesting alone is proof that I believe in change. However, if a former House Leader offered something positive, then it only makes sense to continue or expand on that. Beatrice, you yourself as well as others brought up the issue of lack of communication which I also mentioned in my contention post, yet you seem to support the notion that it's not necessary for a leader to use the best form of communication. Not all Crystalline are in the realms at the same time. How is everyone to know what's going on in the House, what issues we have, along with a range of other things if information known by the leader is not posted? Of course not everyone is comfortable or good at the same things. For example, I'm not too great when it comes to geography but I will often lead or start a House hunt because I feel it's beneficial to us as a community.

As I've stated in my contention post yes, as individuals in the House we do great things. I know Julius for one is always actively hunting for karma. I know Seraline is excellent when it comes to researching. I know that Jaiko is a great combatant. I know that Wronic is a wonderful teacher. I know that Tyberius is great at helping others. I am well aware as I've already stated of the great individual efforts which everyone makes. The thing is I want to create projects we can all work on together, so it's not just individuals in the House that excel in a field but Crystalline and that comes with forging a unique identity. And no, there will not be mandatory raiding or things along those lines, for those worried about something like that. I am well aware that everyone has different interests and variety is the spice of life!

The Crystalline Circle is indeed a House with a proud history. The fact that it was the orignal Magi guild  and that we have the oldest and first Master Crystal is an immense cause for pride. The thing is histories are meant to be the foundation of growth. To explain what I mean by unique identity I'll use some examples. Let's look at Empyreal which was in fact the first true Priest guild but what they are known for is their preaching and formerly at least their missionary work, no other House can claim that.  An example of a non-Shallamese House would be the Crown Merchants, despite the fact they accept all sorts of classes they are known for being the house for merchants and no other House can claim that.

We're an elemental House that's centered around protecting Creation and geared more towards being anti-Chaos. Yet many organizations are also built around the same theme, to the point where some even try to debate which organization is more anti-Chaos. I think using what we have such as the Chalice of Purity, elemental magic, the strong ties to Order our House has, and our history we can build something that ours that no other organization can try to claim authority on. That's my goal, to simply build on what we already have and adjust it to suit this post-guild era. If anyone has any more questions or comments please feel free to ask!
