[14:13] <AmbitiousAvocado> Er, yeah. Then she vanished and that was it. Just me standing there looking pretty confused.

[14:17] <AmbitiousAvocado> I mean, I guess it makes sense if we're supposed to save everyone on the planet but I don't think I'm "god" material

[14:17] <haughtyArtemis> I don't understand how any of this makes even a little bit of sense.  It sounds like a bad joke if you look at it from the outside, but...

[14:29] <AmbitiousAvocado> Uhg. I never asked for this! If Hanna and Flynn's parents made this why don't they just do it! That's what parents are supposed to do right?

[14:30] <haughtyArtemis> I'm not exactly opposed to getting to become capable of the sort of thing those two were capable of, but I wouldn't mind an actual explanation.

[14:32] <haughtyArtemis> Try this.  Take a metaphorical step back, and start looking at everything going on as a map.  What all do we know?  Is there anything immediately dangerous to be afraid of?
[14:33] <haughtyArtemis> If we're safe right this second, we have time to figure things out.  A vague 'save us' isn't an immediate threat, right?
[14:34] <AmbitiousAvocado> Ok, yes. As far as we know it's just a couple of teens about to play a video game. I guess that's not so bad.

[14:34] <haughtyArtemis> So what all we know:  It's a game about being gods, and saving the world from something.
[14:34] <AmbitiousAvocado> I mean, it's a video game forced on us by some sort of "gods" or parents or something that might decide the fate of the planet, but I guess we're not currently dying horrible deaths.
[14:36] <haughtyArtemis> That's important too.  Something is letting the game affect reality.
[14:36] <haughtyArtemis> However, the fact that our generous patrons didn't actually HURT any of us means that that fact shouldn't be something to worry about yet.
[14:37] <haughtyArtemis> Rather, they were just a bit of a kick in the behind to get us going.
[14:39] <AmbitiousAvocado> So we have some sort of time limit but it's not desperate, or I imagine they would still be here edging us along.
[14:39] <haughtyArtemis> Exactly.
[14:40] <AmbitiousAvocado> Also what ever is coming I can't see it being "aware" of us, even if it's capable of that. Otherwise we might not be here.
[14:41] <haughtyArtemis> That's actually a very good point.  Maybe that's why the existing ones can't do it themselves - they're already known, but we would serve as a surprise backup team.

[14:42] <AmbitiousAvocado> But the question now is how do we even prepare for this?

[14:43] <haughtyArtemis> If we assume this situation has been going on for a long time, then it's not impossible that Flynn's dad and Hanna's mom have been setting things up to have us prepared already.
[14:45] <haughtyArtemis> It sure is convenient, for example, that all of us are good with weapons.
[14:45] <AmbitiousAvocado> Like everything we've done so far is a lead up to what we need? I guess that makes sense, only I can't see what kind of god would need guns, mechanical knowledge, cheesy western movie lines, or fairytales.

[14:47] <AmbitiousAvocado> I guess it depends what kind of "gods" we're talking about here. The crazy powerful "all-creating" kind, or like the ones from Norse mythology that actually had to fight to get things done.

[14:47] <haughtyArtemis> Egyptian, in particular, had a lot of animal-headed gods.
