  1. [FF4M] Entrapment
  2.
  3. (A heavy door [clicks] shut)
  4.
  5. Detective: Hello, I'll be conducting your interview today. My name's Special Agent (insert name). Can I get you anything? Tea? Coffee?
  6.
  7. Detective: No? Perfect. First off, I'd just like to thank you for agreeing to sit down with us today. I just want to assure you that you’re not under arrest, this is merely a formality.
  8.
  9. Detective: Great. I'm sure you can understand that we have to cover all our bases. And that, unfortunately, means some innocent people can be caught in the crossfire.
  10.
  11. Detective: (Laughs) Are you a suspect? Look, I won't lie to you. You are on the list. But it's a *shrinking* list, and hopefully after this interview it'll *shrink* a little more. Shall we get just crack on?
  12.
  13. Detective: Brilliant. So today's interview *will* be recorded. I just want to make sure you're okay with that. As you are not under arrest, I will be the only agent present and there are no cameras - just our little friend here. It's a bit of a cosy set up, really. Allows us to be a little more relaxed, a little more intimate.
  14.
  15. Detective: That being said I still have to go through certain formalities. That's just part of regulations, you understand. I assume you know your rights? Right to remain silent, not incriminate yourself etc. etc.
  16.
  17. Detective: Great! Great, great. You are free to leave at any time, however it is my view that it'd be really beneficial to both parties if you stayed and answered all our questions to the best of your ability. Does that sound okay?
  18.
  19. Detective: Sweet. Gah! That was a lot, wasn't it? I apologise for the info dump, we have to do that every time. Don't worry, hopefully by the end of this you'll be talking more than me!
  20.
  21. (Detective laughs)
  22.
  23. Detective: Let's just get started then.
  24.
  25. (Tape recorder [clicks] on)
  26.
  27. Detective: Interview 4017. Time is 9:05am. Can you please state your name for the record?
  28.
  29. Detective: Your *full* name, please.
  30.
  31. Detective: Alright and your address.
  32.
  33. Detective: Great. Officer present is Special Agent (Insert name) of the Federal Bureau of Investigation. ID number 60294. Interview location FBI Field Office, 333 Rigby Street.
  34.
  35. Detective: Great! Glad we got that out of the way. My first question is- (cut off)
  36.
  37. (The door [opens])
  38.
  39. Lawyer: What the fuck is going on?
  40.
  41. Detective: (Surprised) Who are you?
  42.
  43. Lawyer: (Angry) I'm his *lawyer*. I came as soon as I could.
  44.
  45. (The door [shuts] behind her)
  46.
  47. Detective: (Disappointed) Oh...well take a seat. I haven't started the interview yet.
  48.
  49. Lawyer: (Dangerous) You're lucky you hadn't. Is he under arrest?
  50.
  51. Detective: No, your client has merely agreed to assist our investigation.
  52.
  53. Lawyer: Then we're leaving. (To him) C'mon, get up.
  54.
  55. Detective: I must say, that wouldn't look very good, would it? Leaving with his attorney in tow.
  56.
  57. Lawyer: It's not an admission of guilt.
  58.
  59. Detective: Maybe not, but in the court of public opinion he'd be skewered. Why would an innocent man and his attorney storm out of a harmless sit down with the police? I trust you've seen the headlines? They'd only get worse, wouldn't they?
  60.
  61. (Pause)
  62.
  63. Lawyer: (To him) Shut up, you. (To her) I'm listening. How long will this take?
  64.
  65. Detective: As long as necessary. Just remember if he leaves here before at least noon, there's going to be a shitstorm. People accusing us of not being thorough enough, people accusing you and your client of evading justice. You'll get people on the evening news talking about it.
  66.
  67. (NOTE: the way she says "there's going to be a shitstorm" implies that she, herself, is going to make sure of it.)
  68.
  69. Lawyer: (Shrugging) They'll think you cleared an innocent man.
  70.
  71. Detective: (Cocky) No they won't. You know that. How about you tell your client here to stay for as long as it takes and we can get this cleared up quietly. That way, nobody will be talking about this interview.
  72.
  73. Lawyer: You're right there. Nobody's ever going to be talking about this interview. Least of all you.
  74.
  75. Detective: (Caught off guard a little) Well...then let's continue.
  76.
  77. Detective: (to him) 168 million dollars. (Narrowing her eyes) That's a lot of money.
  78.
  79. Lawyer: (Rolling her eyes) Irrelevant. Move on.
  80.
  81. Detective: Alright. We'll start somewhere else. Can you confirm your whereabouts on the nights of 16th June, 18th June and July 22nd?
  82.
  83. Detective: Yes, I’m aware you have provided authorities with statements, however we have witnesses who are willing to testify against you regarding your whereabouts.
  84.
  85. (Pause)
  86.
  87. Detective: (sighing) Nothing to say?
  88.
  89. (Recording device [clicks] off.)
  90.
  91. Lawyer: What are you doing?
  92.
  93. Detective: Look. We're off the record. Frankly, we don't need a confession. We have more than enough to convict your client on evidence alone.
  94.
  95. Lawyer: And?
  96.
  97. Detective: (Spluttering) And? A-a-a confession would be the best thing for your client in his position! I am asking him to help us help himself. Look at it this way - how's it going to look to a judge? Hmm? If he walks into court with a guilty plea and a confession, a judge might look more favorably on him. Might be *lenient*.
  98.
  99. Lawyer: Are you threatening my client with more prison time if he refuses to be give a false confession?
  100.
  101. Detective: No, I - (cut off)
  102.
  103. Lawyer: (laughing) I didn't realise the bureau were this desperate! I'm sure you're aware how that will look in court. You are aware coercion is illegal?
  104.
  105. Detective: Ah, but this is all off the record, remember?
  106.
  107. (Pause)
  108.
  109. Lawyer: Completely...off the record? Non-admissible?
  110.
  111. Detective: Absolutely. No recordings, no nothing. Just us. Just a chat. Now, I'll ask again - can you tell me where you were on the nights of 16th June, 18th June and Jul- (Cut off)
  112.
  113. Lawyer: (Interrupting) He was with me.
  114.
  115. Detective: (Suspicious) I'm sorry?
  116.
  117. Lawyer: The reason his statements don't add up is because he was with me. He didn't admit it because he's too proud. He's got a reputation to uphold.
  118.
  119. Detective: (Scoffing) Don't tell me, you're in love?
  120.
  121. Lawyer: Don't be ridiculous. Sex is sex. We're not in love. We don't go on little dates. I'm his lawyer, we fuck and then I play tennis with his wife.
  122.
  123. Detective: (Curious, despite herself) And...and she knows about this?
  124.
  125. Lawyer: (Emotionless) Yes she does.
  126.
  127. Detective: (Trying to regain control) Is that right? So you two were... were *together*. That still doesn't explain sworn witness statements – (cut off)
  128.
  129. Lawyer: (Interrupting) So they'd be the first people in history to lie to the police wouldn't they?
  130.
  131. Detective: What?
  132.
  133. Lawyer: Listen, my client is a very powerful man. He's a prominent figure in the community, it's feasible that people might hold a grudge against him, against his success. Some I'd wager might be willing to lie to see him fall from grace.
  134.
  135. Detective: (Scoffs) I can assure you you're wrong.
  136.
  137. Lawyer: Am I? It seems to me like you're so wound up in your own little biases and suspicions that you can't look at this case without tainting it.
  138.
  139. Detective: (Offended) Excuse me? I don't think I like your tone!
  140.
  141. Lawyer: I've heard enough of this. You clearly have nothing on my client except bluffs and vague circumstances. It's not going to hold up in court. You're wasting my client's time, you're wasting *my* time.
  142.
  143. (Slight pause)
  144.
  145. Lawyer (Cont'd - patronising) But most of all honey, you're wasting your own time.
  146.
  147. Detective: No! No he's guilty! (To him) You're going to prison for a long, long fucking time!
  148.
  149. (Pause)
  150.
  151. Lawyer: Oh is he?
  152.
  153. (Lawyer reaches across the table and grabs Detective by the hair, dragging her around the table. Chairs [scrape] across the floor during the struggle.)
  154.
  155. Detective: (Struggling) Get your fucking hands off of me!
  156.
  157. (Lawyer slaps Detective across the face)
  158.
  159. Lawyer: She wants to strip your life from you? Let's see how she likes being stripped!
  160.
  161. (We hear clothing [ripping] [tearing]; buttons [scattering]. The Detective gives off an incredulous squeak)
  162.
  163. Detective: (Disbelieving) I can't believe you just did that.
  164.
  165. (The lawyer slaps her breast)
  166.
  167. Detective: Don't *touch* me. Don’t you slap my breasts!
  168.
  169. Lawyer: You've been a bad girl.
  170.
  171. Detective: What? I…get *off* me!
  172.
  173. (Lawyer slaps Detective's breast again, and then slaps the other one. Now she's slapping both breasts hard and fast.)
  174.
  175. Detective: (grunting in pain) Stop. Slapping. My. Tits.
  176.
  177. (The slapping continues)
  178.
  179. Detective: I am a Federal agent! You can't do this! Please!
  180.
  181. (Slapping stops)
  182.
  183. Lawyer: You're just a slut who needs to be punished. A Federal agent would have left as soon as I grabbed you. A Federal agent would have tried to leave or fight back once I started slapping her tits. What did you do?
  184.
  185. Detective: (Small voice) N-n-nothing.
  186.
  187. Lawyer: Exactly. Would a true Federal agent just stand there topless? You're not even trying to cover yourself up!
  188.
  189. (Detective covers her breasts; Lawyer laughs)
  190.
  191. Lawyer: There's no point covering them now, sweetheart.
  192.
  193. (She reaches forward and brushes Detective’s breast)
  194.
  195. Lawyer: You do have very nice breasts. So perky. I must admit I liked the way they bounced when I hit them. (She bites her lip) They look so pretty with they’re sore, look at that red tinge…(to herself) beautiful…
  196.
  197. Detective: (Weak) You can’t do this!
  198.
  199. Lawyer: Awh, your nipples are hard sweetheart. You can say what you want, but you’re enjoying this.
  200.
  201. Detective: (under her breath) Am not.
  202.
  203. (Pause)
  204.
  205. Lawyer: Now, you're been very disrespectful to my client, haven't you?
  206.
  207. Detective: I was just doing my job.
  208.
  209. Lawyer: And I'm just doing mine. You're going to apologise to my client, and you're going to show him respect, aren't you?
  210.
  211. (Detective doesn't answer. Lawyer slaps her).
  212.
  213. Lawyer: *Aren't* you?
  214.
  215. Detective: Yes Ma'am.
  216.
  217. Lawyer: Good girl.
  218.
  219. Detective: (Quickly; instinctive) Thankyou Ma'am.
  220.
  221. (Lawyer laughs)
  222.
  223. Lawyer: You *are* a submissive little slut!
  224.
  225. Detective: (Trying to regain her composure) No, no, fuck off! Fuck *off*! This is highly inappropriate. I'm...I'm...
  226.
  227. Lawyer: Going to show my client some respect? Yes, I should think so. You've been *very* disrespectful.
  228.
  229. Detective: I...(quietly) yes.
  230.
  231. Lawyer: Yes what?
  232.
  233. Detective: Yes I've been very disrespectful.
  234.
  235. Lawyer: Good girl. And what can you do about that?
  236.
  237. Detective: A-apologise?
  238.
  239. Lawyer: Oh I think it's a bit late for that. You're going to get on your hands and knees. You're going to crawl over to my client and you're going to lick his fucking shoes! Understand?
  240.
  241. Detective: (Shocked) I...what? Pardon?
  242.
  243. Lawyer: I don't believe I misspoke. You're going to crawl across the floor and lick his shoes.
  244.
  245. (Pause)
  246.
  247. Detective: (Quiet voice) Y-yes Ma'am.
  248.
  249. Lawyer: Good girl.
  250.
  251. (Quivering, the Detective slowly lowers herself to her knees. The floor is colder than she expected; she can feel it through her trousers. She gasps when her knees touch the floor.)
  252.
  253. Lawyer: (laughing) Now crawl over to him.
  254.
  255. (The Detective starts to crawl, dragging limb after limb)
  256.
  257. Lawyer: (laughing) Look at her go! Do you like sir? Having a topless FBI agent crawling to your feet?
  258.
  259. (She slaps the Detective's ass)
  260.
  261. Lawyer: She's got a great ass too. I think we're going to have a lot of fun with her.
  262.
  263. (Pause)
  264.
  265. Lawyer: (Angry) What the *fuck* are you doing? Don't look up at him, did I say to look up at him? I told you to lick his fucking shoes!
  266.
  267. (Pause)
  268.
  269. Lawyer: That's better! Now you're getting it! Tell me what you’re doing.
  270.
  271. Detective: (Through gritted teeth) I’m licking his shoes
  272.
  273. Lawyer: Sorry, I didn’t quite catch that…
  274.
  275. Detective: (Louder) I said I’m licking his fucking shoes!
  276.
  277. Lawyer: (Laughing) Well don’t just stand there talking about it, get on with it!
  278.
  279. TO BE CONTINUED
