Day 494 - Once More at the Winery

As a pretext, I've reread some previous entries and realized that my manner of script and syntax would seem tad exhausting to both my writing hand and any reading eyes, so I'll try to be a bit more concise with any further recounting. I apologize to both myself and any reader, who I curse upon if they do not have my permission, for my previous entries.

A short day, yet it was filled with surprises and strife aplenty. First, a skeletal rider on the winding road. Second, a well-planned and well-executed trap that had engulf the unwary and unknowing in a wave of flame and soot. Third, the utterance of a mysterious name and the following forced formation of mystical metal upon man. Fourthly, the appearance of a known face morphing into one unknowing to us, but now made familiar.

Okay. I take back what I written as a pretext. Any attempt to shorten my sentences to its purest form still results into poetic drivel and I must recognized that I am lost cause. I further apologize, once again to myself and any reader, to which I utter insults if they do not have my permission, for future entries.
Point is, today was a simple day with simple truths. We went to Rictavio's Tower, made some observations, made some mistakes, but our arrival and departure from the tower has further bolstered our potential in surviving within this realm. Speaking of Barovia, Rictavio was helpful as his wandering has led him to explore and uncover some key information that we can definitely utilize. Even more so, we may have obtain a possible refuge as Rictavio has given us a clear means to return back to the Tower, no matter our location.

In a true attempt to keep things short, we soon left the Tower and returned back here to the winery for a day's rest and preparation for our journey to Krezk, to which we can truly find sanctuary for Ireena and Ismark. Possibly for Arabelle and Lily as well, but given Lily's recent, uhm...dedication to prove her worth to Brooks and Arabelle's, uhm...insistence(?) towards staying with the group, I'm a bit hesitant as too the wishes of the group.
