  1. [Active, fully intending to get conversationally competent with if not outright fluent]
  2. Spanish (A0.8, Rusting): really need it for work, but I've just been demotivated with learning in general lately (not to mention getting dunked on by holiday work schedule) so my tree has decomposed and my clozemaster backlog has hit 250+
  3. Esperanto (A0.5): ...I still have seven skills left to finish DuoIn90 (despite it being cancelled, I'm doing it anyway ;) ), and I'm pretty sure I still have an episode or two of "Lernu kun Logano" that I haven't watched
  4. Russian (A0, Paused): attempted tree three times, gave up because nothing was sticking. may try again in january, probably throwing in RussianPod101 now that I actually have money to subscribe with
  5. Japanese (A1, V.Rusty, Mega-Hiatus): I don't know what's keeping this on the list, an actual desire to learn the language and culture (hopefully) or the Sunk Cost Fallacy (also likely)
  6.
  7. [Someday, probably just experimenting with or getting to basic conversational level at most]
  8. Irish: I'm half Scotts-Irish, and it'd be fun to try and learn the language of my ancestors... not that anyone in my family knows a word of it :P
  9. Korean: seems like a fun language, and it'd be a nice compliment to Japanese
  10. Chinese: likely not happening, I'm linguistically tone-deaf and literally cannot hear the difference without both the speaker talking really slowly, AND having pinyin subtitles. and don't even try to get me to produce the fall-rise tone... but at least my kanji knowledge would partially carry over from Japanese
  11. Vietnamese: see Chinese for why this one ain't happening
  12. Tagalog: I have a few Filipino friends, and it might be kinda fun to try out. also apparently it shares some vocab with Spanish?
  13. Norwegian: only on here because vikings are cool
  14. German: why not go for something from EVERY major language family at this point? also german cursing sounds fucking awesome
  15. Hawaiian: probably just for fun and also endangered language. also the language is like 50% vowel
  16. Navajo, Mohawk, and/or Lushootseed: could be fun to try a native american language. Navajo and Mohawk seem to have the most online resources available, while Lushootseed is the language of the tribes in my area (Pacific Northwest)
  17. Neo-Khuzdul: obligatory obscure conlang, this would mostly be for dwarf rp on Lord of the Rings Online
  18.
  19. [???]
  20. English: why is my native language on here? well, apparently my speaking ability has been getting weird lately, a lot of customers keep asking me to repeat myself because I talk so fast I'm slurring my words sometimes... also there's like so many words I keep hearing and thinking they're not english but it turns out they are and they're just really old words no one under the age of 30 is even supposed to know exist, let alone use in daily conversation
