  1. Alex John
  2. As there is some talk of 10.5Ts I'll make the 'official' announcement.
  3.
  4. With the growth of the club (last Sunday our equal highest entries ever), our planning of major race meets and Stadium Truck gaining momentum we have made some revisions to motor rules and decided on the motor rules for Stadium Truck. The rules aim to keep racing close and have minimal financial impact on members.
  5.
  6. Stadium Truck motor/esc rules:
  7. 10.5T Stock / 13.5t Boosted (effective immediately)
  8.
  9. Reason for decision:
  10. The committee decided at our recent meeting that the motor rules for 2WD Stadium Truck will be 10.5T stock / 13.5T boosted. The reason for this choice is that we want to move the club to be in line with the AARCMCC rules, to which we are now affiliated and which all other clubs in Aus run to.
  11.
  12. Now the current rules for Stadium Truck are two different classes: modified (anything) and stock (17.5T). But there is talk of changing this to a single class of 10.5/13.5 that we have selected so that 2WD short course truck can be bought into State and National titles as the second truck class. So effectively we are pre-empting that this change will occur and are getting on board now. Secondly, many of you expressed that you'd like the class to be around this motor limit (and faster than 17.5T!) and thirdly, it will allow crossover easy crossover of motors / esc's with the 2WD SCT class.
  13.
  14. New 2WD Short Course Truck motor/esc rules:
  15. 10.5T Stock / 13.5T Boosted (to be bought in 1st Jan 2013)
  16.
  17. Reason for decision:
  18. The AARCMCC rules for 'Stock SCT' as they call it, is 10.5T stock motor/esc and 2WD chassis. We also wanted to move this class to be in line with these rules. However we have decided to allow 13.5T boosted set-ups as it allows people to continue using their existing motors if they wish to. The mix of 10.5 stock and 13.5 boosted is used and proven to be close in performance to one another in NSW club racing. This rule change will not come into effect until next year to prevent the need for people to go and buy new motors.
  19.
  20. NOTE!!! The motor limit for 2WD SCT will remain at 13.5T STOCK for this Spring Series, and the new rule wont come into effect until 1st January 2013.
