  1. This document intends to provide some documentation on the classifications of different cycles across Crash 1.
  2.
  3. NOTE: Enemies that start moving when you're close to them but are based around following Crash will not be listed here as they're not considered a cycle. For example, the shield enemies in gate levels that follow you or the electric lab assistants in The Lab that follow you.
  4.
  5. GLOBAL CYCLES: Cycles that are moving as long as the game is not paused or in a loading screen. These cycles (along with all the other cycles listed here) still reset when you die.
  6. - Spikes in The Great Gate/Native Fortress
  7. - Small flames in The Great Gate/Native Fortress
  8. - Moving platforms in Rolling Stones
  9. - Pushers in The Lost City/Sunset Vista
  10. - Boards in The Lost City/Sunset Vista
  11. - Spears in Temple Ruins/Jaws Of Darkness
  12. - Platforms that move up and down in Temple Ruins/Jaws Of Darkness
  13. - Camera robots in Heavy Machinery/Castle Machinery
  14. - Steam vents in Heavy Machinery/Castle Machinery
  15. - Some spiky robots
  16. - Moving platforms in Cortex Power/Generator Room
  17. - Any object that shoots electricity projectiles out of it
  18. - Birds in Slippery Climb
  19. - Stairs in Slippery Climb
  20. - Moving platforms in Slippery Climb
  21. - Pendulums in Lights Out/Fumbling In The Dark
  22. - Beige moving platforms in Lights Out/Fumbling In The Dark
  23. - Closing and opening floors in The Lab
  24.
  25. SPAWN CYCLES: Cycles that start moving when you get close to it. As a result, these cycles are always consistent. Sometimes referred to as a proximity cycle.
  26. - Crabs in N. Sanity Beach
  27. - Turtles
  28. - Leaves in Upstream/Up The Creek
  29. - Eating plants (blue tentacles) in Upstream/Up The Creek
  30. - Rollers in Jungle Rollers/Rolling Stones
  31. - Shield enemies in Hog Wild/Whole Hog
  32. - Monkeys in gate levels/Up The Creek
  33. - Bats of any kind

  36. - Large groups of spinning pillars in Temple Ruins/Jaws Of Darkness
  37. - Boars in Road To Nowhere/The High Road
  38. - Barrels in Toxic Waste (how high the yellow ones bounce upon first dropping on the floor is RNG, seems similar to nitro RNG in c2/c3)
  39. - Enemies that throw test tubes in Slippery Climb/The Lab
  40.
  41. LEVEL/LOCAL CYCLES: This is a rare type of cycle in the PS1 Crash Bandicoot trilogy. It is a cycle that begins moving when you first spawn in the level.
  42. - The moving platform near the end of Castle Machinery that goes up high
