  1. The first memory one can recall is normally of their childhood mine was of the sound of my mothers sobbing. Someone left and hadn't come back. Being told I wasn't wanted or needed I remember that. I also remember the long rope that was tied to my waist and being pulled by the woman who told me not to call her mother as she marched me up the mountain. How her hands were raw and bleeding her voice was horse as she cursed me and told me to stay till my father came for me. That thin threadbare scrap of fabric that covered hardly any of my body didn't protect me from the rope or the thorns on our walk up. My feet were bleeding and numb from cold but I stayed like I was told. These were my memories. This would become my reason to ensure no one else ever lived such a life. I was saved twice that day once by a beautiful goddess and again that evening by two people who would be better than parents despite the inexperience and knowledge they tried hard to make me happy. They were my entire world. I remember the days that become years growing up on the mountain learning to hunt and cook to sew and weave all the things they knew they taught to me. What a truly magnificent childhood I had. Beasts and spirits knew me well and the adventures we had together I was never afraid of them never hesitant to lend aid when needed and the day I stepped foot off the mountain. That day I learned what greed was. The fight for life and I decided who lived and died but not by my hand by my guardians and my command. I learned that day my blood was special and I had skills and abilities that even the others of this realm had never even dreamed of before. I swore I would devote my life to upholding the truth and justice of this realm and to fight anything that threatened it. I became the patriarch. My family grew an entire clan was brought into my life and several smaller communities flocked to my mountain and the lands surrounding. No one opposed me and my word and peace fell on the world for a time. But peace never lasts and blood always spills when its broken.
