Blackblade, the Soul-Drinker, drained into itself whatever remained of Rhonas’ essence. Gideon could actually feel the weapon getting heavier. Maybe not physically heavier, but morally, magically, psychically heavier, without a doubt.

Rhonas was quickly reduced to a husk, a husk not unlike those of the Planeswalkers he had harvested. And just as quickly that husk began to crumble to dust. Gideon’s footing, on Rhonas’ hand, disintegrated beneath him, and he began to fall. He was easily a hundred feet up.
