Try to use active voice as much as possible
-to identify: choose some animate object, e.g. "my teammates" or "Dr. Larson" or "Oprah Winfrey's soul"
-if inserting "by Oprah Winfrey's soul" or whatever directly after the verb works, it's passive
A study was conducted by Oprah Winfrey's soul. <-passive
We conducted by Oprah Winfrey's soul a study. <- active

Introduction:
Inverted pyramid organization scheme
Global concern -> regional/local impact -> reasons for problems

Paragraph 2: Global issue- identify issue as a problem, explain significance
quantified examples

Paragraph 3: Regional/local impact. same as above except regional and local, obviously.

Paragraph 4: reasons, factors impacting problems, significance of the IV

Paragraphs 5 + 6: Lit reviews. Choose two best/favorite articles- who, when, where, then how and what, then results/conclusions/significance.
-heading: Literary Review

Paragraph 6: Hypothesis - literally three (maybe four) sentences
-transition sentence: "Previous studies indicated that the lit review studies concluded blahblahblah."
-purpose of your study sentence
-hypothesis- if-then format (quantifiable!)
