1.) No Drama of any kind. If I see it, I will demand that it stops immediately. No sniping or snide remarks OOCly towards one another. Take it to PM, sort out your differences, or I will remove you. Simple as that.

2.) Roleplay over OOC: I cannot stress this enough but part of the reason rooms die so frequently on this site is the lack of actual RP, when it turns into a cluster of nothing but OOC jibber-jabber. This will not happen on my watch. OOC is allowed SPARINGLY, meaning if you have to leave, state that you are going AFK, or that you'll BRB. If a full blown conversation breaks out in the middle of people actually roleplaying, I don't care if it's only 2 people, you will be warned. Three strikes before a temp ban. If it happens repeatedly then the ban has a chance of becoming permanent.

3.) Romance: I am not here to tell you who can and can't date or what you can and can't do. Just know this, if you choose to engage in a romantic overture, then that is your doing. If something goes wrong in that relationship and you must end it, I expect both parties to be grown-ups about it. No sniping, no insulting, no jabs at a person beyond the screen. You're an adult. Act like it. If you can't, then I will step in to mediate, and it will end badly.

4.) Smut: The primary goal of the room is NOT smut. As much as the site is a smut based roleplaying site, that is not what we are here for. If you wish to engage in the carnal acts, then please do so in PM. Adult content and language is allowed within the room, as it is a mature environment and setting, but please exercise some tasteful discretion.

5.) Original Characters: These are highly encouraged, as I wish to do something a bit different than the normal Harry Potter nonsense that permeates the internet. Rather than it being set during the time of Harry Potter, it is much farther back, before the First Wizarding War. For reference of the time period, it is set in 1941. You can create your wizard or witch however you would like, so long as they stick to the Harry Potter mythos, place them in any year and any house. The only exception to the house rule would be if we have a disproportionately large number of one over the other.

6.) Dueling: Yes there will be dueling in the room, and you might lose. However, death is not an option. No Killing Curses being slung about willy-nilly, and protection will always be in place until stated otherwise. Hogwarts may have a long history with a few notable deaths abounds, but your character is safe from death for the time being.

7.) Magic: It goes without saying that this is a rather large portion of what happens within the mythos and universe of Harry Potter, and as such I encourage you to create your own spells to some degree. Please note that if you're going to do this, then you need to craft the name, the effect, the movement and the color of the spell, the way it looks, etc. Limits being, it can not kill outright but can cause severe damage if used with malicious intent, such as the Sectusempra spell.

8.) Canon Characters: If you choose to take up a canon character, please respect that character down the most minute of details. It's not hard when you have plenty of source material to go off of, and your head-canon does not replace the actual canon of the storyline that's been so finely crafted for our reading pleasure. I don't care who you are, respect your characters.

9.) Questions and concerns can be leveled to Tom Riddle the Admin and owner of the room. I am PM friendly and will help in any way I can. However if it is to solve a dispute between yourself and another player, I want no part of it. You're grown ups. Handle your business and move on. If you can't then just stop speaking. Better to say nothing than make an ass out of yourself for all the world to see.
