  1. Name: Adelin Rosingale
  2.
  3. Age: 20
  4.
  5. Birth Option: Gearkin; a native to Grandaelux
  6.
  7. Race: Human of western Grandaelux
  8.
  9. Physical Appearance: Adelin's deep-set, grey eyes always give off a sense of piercing intimidation; a stark contrast from the girl's cheery and adventurous demeanor. Her heart-shaped face is framed by the scarlet hair of the Rosingale family; with crimson locks falling past her jawline.
  10.
  11. She's shorter than her sisters, standing at only 5'6 in height, despite this, she has surprising strength that belies her small frame.
  12.
  13. Backstory: Adelin was raised under house Rosingale; a prodigious family of warrior-mages who keep their influence and bloodline strong by handing down their teachings of both magic and martial mastery from generation to generation. Needless to say, as time passed, the family became somewhat of a legend in the local area; with several ancestors of the family becoming local (or perhaps even country-wide) heroes. Adelin was raised as the middle child of three, with Alina being the eldest, and Ambrosia the youngest of the three sisters. As a young gal, Adelin had always eagerly watched the sporting and combat events throughout all of Grandaelux -- while most girls played with their dolls, Adelin cheered on the bloodshed and battle that happened in the outside world. Rather than shun her, her father had taken her -- and her daughters, far and wide so she could see the world around them.
  14.
  15. At age five -- as with all children of the Rosingale family, Adelin had began studying under her mother in the use of arcane magic. Altering the reality to your liking had always fascinated and appealed to Adelin, and so the girl slaved herself to studying each and every formula she could -- the sooner she learned her magic, the happier she would be. It was around when Adelin hit age 8 that the locals jokingly referred to the girl as the 'Chaos Witch'; as when she began successfully casting her spells, her mind wandered, and as a result, typically created a somewhat random(but harmless) effect. Examples of these harmless effects were flowers and fountains of water spouting from the wood, or even transmuting small items to chocolate.
  16.
  17. Adelin began learning swordplay from a tutor around age 10; originally beginning with a smaller blade, the girl steadily began to progress to a larger one. It was then that Adelin was trained by her father personally, in the use of greatswords. While the young girl couldn't even dream of hefting a military grade weapon, her father had a smith forge a blade specifically for her size and stature to train with -- much to his surprise, she showed promise, using a combination of heavy strikes and quick magical barrages to dominate the battlefield. She continued her training day and night each day, until she collapsed, only to dream of venturing into the outside world: The tales of glory and the outside world she heard continuously thrummed in her head. She knew that, one day, she would be an adventurer, and one day, SHE would be one that the patrons within a tavern raise their flagon of ale to.
  18.
  19. At age 15, Adelin was given the privilege of asking the smithy to forge her own custom weapon. Her request? A massive greatsword, with a blade's edges sharpened with obsidian for the sake of cutting straight through flesh and bone. The smith laughed, knowing that the young girl would never be capable of hefting the full weight of the weapon she desired, but agreed to forging it. When it was complete, she quickly attempted hoisting her weapon into the air: The result was her dropping the blade in a failed attempt of a swing, falling flat upon her face. With a hearty laugh, her father ruffled the young girl's hair, before having the smithy mount the blade in a local tavern, as a symbol of both Adelin and the Rosingale family's next generation.
  20.
  21. Just a week before the events transpiring today, Adelin's life took a change; perhaps, for the better. Ever since the crafting of her blade, she always visited the tavern on a daily basis; relaxing to the soothing mix of legends, words of encouragement, and bardic songs from the locals...it was then, that a small trio of bandits stepped their way int othe alehouse, and while one drew his blade, the other two ignited the inn with their flasks of oil, causing the alehouse to rise in a plume of flame. Rather than run away, Adelin had quickly wrested the blade from the inn's wall.
  22.
  23. The bandits laugh at the small girl's seemingly futile attempt at defending her people,
  24.
  25. "By the time you even raise the thing, I'll have sliced you open five times,"
  26.
  27. Adelin wordlessly charged, and with a heavy swing, cut the man down. "I only need one slice to put you in half,"
  28.
  29. It was here that Adelin resolved that it was time; time to sate the wanderlust she held within the depths of her heart.
