- AVISIRAE
- Once simply a backwater planet with little value, Avisirae was used for its inconspicuousness as a home for many Vigil research labs. Although it contains life, most of its wilderness is densely packed into swathes of land along its equator, with barren, lifeless deserts stretching out towards the poles and only a few small oceans.
- PLACES OF INTEREST:
- Sorrow's Rest: A small town laid along the coast of a diminutive ocean, Sorrow's Rest appears at first like a quaint rest stop for weary galactic travellers, but its tangled roots run much deeper. It is defended at all sides by patrolling combat drones, managed from the Tower at its heart by a cabal of scientists that most, if not all, of its inhabitants have never seen. Quiet, calm and stable, it is home to a thriving community of adventurers interested in Avisirae's many ruins.
- The Vessel: Seen mainly as a pair of massive, blaring red eyes from a distance, the Vessel is a Vigil dreadnought that landed atop the highest mountain on the planet. Surrounded by harsh deserts bereft of almost any life, it is all but inaccessible without proper gear. However, its contents are known well; its inhabitants are some of the most well equipped scavengers on the planet, organized under an enigmatic and stern leader named Nomad.
- The Labs: A series of underwater labs primarily under the control of the malevolent Sentinels. They are mostly in-tact, though portions have become flooded and difficult to access. Most of them are set near the coast, but many believe there are stranger facilities in the deepest reaches of Avisirae's sparse oceans.
- Vanath Okar: The central city of the New Vigil on this planet, it is a stark contrast to its simple and almost curmudgeonly surroundings. It is a bustling metropolis, refurbished from a city that once stood there. Winding footpaths through and between towering clusters of buildings, with chasmic streets at the base of these clusters amenable to vehicles, its glitz and glamour is apt to provoke feelings of nauseating nostalgia in many of those who once frequented similar cities in the Vigil. Yet there's always an uneasy air of surveillance about the place. . .
- Lenhar: One of the largest anarchic communities on the planet, it is a bustling trading town and one of the main outposts for trading with the Lines. The
- The Array: A strange facility supposedly tucked safely in the unlivable icy wastes of the north pole, many legends are traded about it. One thing is consistent; strange, beautifully carved white needles stretch diagonally at the sky, and a deep, baleful psionic presence resonates from below.
- The Fortress: Opposite of the Array, the Fortress rests on the south pole of the planet, and is one of the most hotly contested areas on the planet despite its icy surroundings. It is an enormous Vigil complex, entrenched with dutiful, clever and heavily armed security robots and sentry guns intent on keeping its contents secure. Whatever rests within is clearly immensely valuable, and many report a strange and powerful presence reaching out from the Fortress.
