The party examined their surroundings after battle. They found the decoration of this place to be nearly identical to the Mirabar dwarven culture.

They looted scrolls and examined a chamber sealed with a plate, suggesting that the dwarves who once dwelled here were not immediately overwhelmed, and had some presumably to escape.

Moving on, they found a more recently used study. It appeared to have been used by the Kaorti, according to Ivy's magics. Prior to that, it was in use by dwarves.

Studying disused, dusty documents scattered about the study, they found confirmation the dwarves knew of the living portal, and intended to study it. Furthermore, they intended to study and map the far realm. The most recent date on the documents were 1306.

Cassius examined a beautiful mithril and bismuth bronze mirror. He placed it in his bag of holding.

Moving into the next chamber, they found it to be oddly fleshy and emitting steam. Cautiously they examined it and found it to be benign. They determined this geologic oddity, if one could call it that, was caused by the touch of the far realm.

Pressing on, they found a strange semi-solid boundary to the far realm. They cautiously explored and examined the entrypoints, and found the dwarven coverings to lead into various points of ingress.

They formulated a plan of attack on the creatures on the other side, and determined the best option is to lure them to their side, where they could be confident on knowing the physics and magics of the place.

They were successful in dispatching their enemies. Among them was a construct called an Umbral Blot. Such creatures are rarely made, and the only known example of one being created was by the Alhoon, Iryxreer Alhixarblot.

During the combat, Vix managed to temporarily control one of the undead sentries.
