Billie Finally Does the Thing

21:01	Billie	EE: Um... Hi? I was told to contact you about this meteor game or something?
21:01	Leon	PP: Uh huh... And who gave you this handle?
21:02	Billie	EE: Quinn did
21:03	Leon	PP: Motherfu... fine, whatever.
21:03	Leon	PP: What the hell do you want.
21:04	Billie	EE: ... I just... Quinn said you's be able to help me?
21:05	Leon	PP: With what? I'm not exactly the nicest person. What do I have that you want?
21:06	Billie	EE: I don't know... everybody was talking at once about meteors and the earth dying and I don't even know what's happening
21:07	Leon	PP: Well, news flash
21:07	Leon	PP: Earth is royally screwed
21:07	Leon	PP: How are you still alive, exactly?
21:08	Billie	EE: I guess there arent meteors where I am yet
21:09	Leon	PP: Lucky you.
21:09	Leon	PP: I'm guessing you want to enter, huh.
21:09	Billie	EE: I don't know what that means...
21:10	Leon	PP: Literally just hit "Begin" on the SBURB launch screen
21:11	Leon	PP: Wow this is sad.
21:11	Leon	PP: Whatever, I'll help you.
21:13		Billie hits begin
21:14	Delta_DM	Your screen changes to show the title of the game, SPlace, on top of an incredibly sophisticated loading screen.
21:15		Leon hits Server
21:15	Delta_DM	Leon's screen receives a popup asking if he wants to confirm being Billie's server.
21:18	Leon	PP: Sure, whatever.
21:18		Leon hits yes
21:19	Delta_DM	On Billie's side the application seems to completely close itself out.
21:19	Delta_DM	On Leon's side, the screen changes to show a young girl standing in her room.
21:20	Leon	PP: Huh. I guess this is you.
21:24	Leon	PP: Has anyone ever told you your short hair makes you look like a dude?
21:24	Leon	PP: Just saying.
21:24	Billie	EE:...
21:25	Leon	PP: Anyways, let's get this show on the road.
21:25	Leon	PP: I don't want to waste any more time than necessary.
21:25		Leon deploys the machines
21:26	Delta_DM	Several machines coalesce out of the aether and plonk down in various spots in Billie's abode.
21:26		Billie yelps in surprise
21:26	Leon	PP: Don't be such a sissy.
21:26	Delta_DM	There's a big, flat, circular one; a long thine boxy one; and lastly a big boxy one with a tube at the top.
21:27		Billie mutes Leon
21:27		Leon picks up a nearby piece of furniture and attempts to break open the alchemeter
21:27	Billie	Remembering the process her player went through, Billie begins trying to do the alchemy thing
21:27	Leon	I attempt to hack pesterchum so that she can't block me
21:27	Delta_DM	You fail.
21:27	Delta_DM	At hacking, I mean.
21:28	Delta_DM	The furniture hits the top of the alchemiter and breaks apart.
21:29	Delta_DM	In doing so, it manages to cause the cap to pop off, releasing a strange floating orb and several colourful cylinders.
21:30	Billie	"Oh right... The glowing orb thingy..."
21:30		Leon picks up a pillow and begins to swat billie with it
21:32		Billie brings the cylinder to the next machine and proceeds to frantically do the things
21:32	Leon	PP: Hey, maybe focus on other things. Proto that once, then carve the dowel
21:32	Leon	PP: Bring it back to where it needs to go, and viola, entry item
21:32	Leon	PP: ...
21:32	Leon	PP: You muted me, didn't you.
21:33	Leon	PP: Oh well. You've probably done this before, so good luck.
21:33	Leon	PP: ... Sigh.
21:33	Delta_DM	The things get done, with the cylinder being carved into something that is distinctly not a cylinder.
21:34	Leon	PP: I went a little far, didn't I.
21:34	Leon	PP: Whatever. Just try not to die without my help.
21:35	Leon	PP: ...
21:35	Leon	PP: You there?
21:36		Billie continues along the process as best she can remember from her time as a server
21:36		Leon continues to swat billie with a pillow he picked up with the cursor out of boredom
21:38	Billie	EE: Please stop that.
21:39	Delta_DM	There's a flash of light, and a small object appears. on the larger of the two platforms.
21:39		Billie checks the time remaining
21:40	Delta_DM	2:14
21:40	Delta_DM	The object is a transparent ball with a small hole on the outside, only a little larger than your hand.
21:41	Billie	EE: Can you put something into the orb while I do this?
21:42	Delta_DM	On the inside is a second ball, rolling around.
21:42	Leon	PP: What even is there to put in?
21:42		Billie tries to roll the ball through the opening of the larger ball
21:43	Delta_DM	You can't get it to come out.
21:43	Billie	(A shitton of instruments on the ground, arts and craft supplies, probably a pet cat in another room)
21:43	Leon	PP: ...The cat might do nicely.
21:43	Billie	(posters of misc stuff, various card games, literally any hobby you can imagine probalby has some stuff here)
21:44		Leon drops the pillow on Billie's head, and grabs the cat
21:44	Delta_DM	The cat, for whatever reason, does not seem to mind being grabbed.
21:45		Billie tries to test the resilence of the spheres by hitting it against the floor
21:45		Leon flings the cat into the orb
21:46	Leon	PP: hmmmm... Why not... second proto...
21:46		Leon also throws in poster of Yugi from Yugioh
21:48	Delta_DM	There's a flash of light and you see a flying cat, sans back legs.
21:49	Delta_DM	The poster, despite its distinct lack of aerodynamics, hits the cat.
21:50	Delta_DM	You see another flash of light before the cat returns, this time with a spiky new hairdo.
21:50	Leon	PP: Heh... It's time to D-D-D-D-D-D-D-D-DUEL!
21:50	Billie	EE: WAIT WHAT DID YOU DO TO MR WHISKERS!?
21:50	Leon	PP: Beats me
21:51	Leon	PP: He's a sprite now
21:51	Billie	"Mr Whiskers!"
21:51	Leon	PP: Enjoy your immortal cat mystic
21:51	Delta_DM	MW: Hello, Billie!
21:51	Leon	PP: I think he cheats at card games, though
21:51	Billie	"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"
21:52	Delta_DM	The sprite says, in a voice that alternates between high and feline and low and deep.
21:52		Billie jumps back at the talking cat
21:53	Delta_DM	MW: It's okay Billie, there's no need to fear!
21:53	Delta_DM	MW: I have been summoned here to serve on your side of the field.
21:53	Leon	PP: Listen to your cat mystic
21:54	Leon	PP: I hear that they're
21:54	Leon	PP: Purrety great
21:54	Leon	PP: lol
21:54		Billie blocks Leon
21:54	Delta_DM	1:14
21:54	Billie	"WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?!"
21:55	Delta_DM	MW: You performed the ritual, summoning me in defense mode!
21:55	Delta_DM	MW: Now I shall defend you, but you must first complete the ritual!
21:57	Delta_DM	They point at the pair of balls with their comically small paw.
21:57	Delta_DM	MW: Now you must destroy that trap card!
21:58	Delta_DM	MW: Otherwise you will be hit by the meteors, and I am afraid that you don't have enough life points to withstand an attack like that.
22:00	Billie	"wha- how are you talking to me?"
22:02	Delta_DM	MW: As part of the ritual I was formed as a fusion. A fusion of the sprite and my two combined selves!
22:02	Delta_DM	MW: It is this fusion that has given me this ability.
22:03	Billie	"uh... okay, so how do I um... Dispel that trap card thing?"
22:03	Delta_DM	MW: That I can not tell you. After all, you are the duelist, not I.
22:04	Delta_DM	MW: But I know that you must interact with it in some way, and in that way win the duel!
22:05	Billie	"Uhmm...."
22:05		Billie is frozen by confusion and not knowing what to do
22:06	Delta_DM	0:45
22:06		Leon picks up the entry item and slams it into the ground
22:06	Delta_DM	MW: Hurry, young duelist!
22:07	Delta_DM	The game gives you an error when you try to pick it up.
22:08	Billie	"w-w-what do I do? Tell me what I need to do!"
22:08		Leon tries to send messages to no avail
22:09	Leon	"Well... this could be bad."
22:09	Delta_DM	MW: I'm afraid that I can not. This is your duel alone.
22:10		Billie starts shaking
22:10	Billie	"Please- please just-"
22:10	Delta_DM	MW: It is simply not an option.
22:10	Delta_DM	MW: And if you do not act soon, you shall be sent to the graveyard.
22:11	Billie	"w-what?"
22:11		Billie starts tearing up
22:11		Leon starts to feel uncomfortable
22:11	Delta_DM	They sigh loudly.
22:12	Leon	Leon
22:12	Leon	PP: Uh.. I hope you plan to do something soon.
22:12	Delta_DM	MW: Look. Billie. If you waste your turn here, you aren't going to live to see another Draw Phase.
22:12	Delta_DM	So either attack or prepare to get destroyed.
22:12		Billie puts her head in her hands and sobs
22:13		Leon bangs his fists on his desk
22:13	Leon	"COME ON DO SOMETHING!"
22:13	Delta_DM	Mr. Whiskers puts his adorable little paws on your shoulders and shakes you gently.
22:14	Delta_DM	MW: Do you understand me? If you do not act now you shall be killed! Dead! Removed from play!
22:14	Delta_DM	MW: Act with the ball or die!
22:15		Billie pushes MW away and begins smashing the ball against the ground
22:15		Leon flips the frick out on the other side
22:15	Billie	"I DON'T KNOW WHAT YOU WANT FROM ME!" she sobs
22:15	Delta_DM	The ball does not smash. There is not even a crack in the surface.
22:15	Leon	PP: LOOK, I MAY BE AN ASSHOLE BUT I DIDN'T ACTUALLY WANT YOU TO DIE
22:15	Leon	PP: GET YOUR ASS IN GEAR
22:16	Leon	PP: Damn it!
22:16	Leon	PP: ... Guess this is my fault, huh.
22:18		Billie tries to try the ball open by pulling at the edges of the hole
22:18	Delta_DM	You can not make the hole bigger, though you can indeed fit your hand through the hole.
22:20		Billie frantically tries to rip the ball out of the hole
22:20	Delta_DM	As you touch the ball, you feel a burning pain shoot up your arm.
22:20	Delta_DM	0:26
22:21		Billie ignores it and pushes on
22:21	Delta_DM	As the ball gets closer to the hole the pain only grows more intense.
22:22	Billie	pain is nothing compared to death and failure. Billie removes the ball from the ball at any cost
22:23	Delta_DM	A brilliant flash of light emerges from the smaller ball the second it exits the larger one, completely blinding everyone present.
