- Description: McCarthy went over to her neighbor Dorothy’s house under the guise of borrowing some sugar. Once inside, McCarthy stabbed Dorothy 5 times with a butcher knife, beat her with a candelabrum, and cut off her finger to steal her diamond wedding ring. McCarthy then stole Dorothy’s purse and her Mercedes-Benz, pawning her diamond ring soon after to buy crack cocaine.
