✎ BACKGROUND: Chaerin grew up in a small town in Gwangju.  She went to a big school and in school, she was not very known. She was a pretty quiet girl usually just minding her own business. This was not because she was shy but because she just liked to keep her head down. She has no siblings so this grew her a sense of independence this also made her a stronger character since she had learn how to protect herself.  She was part of the dance club and there she made a couple of friends. She also joined the music club and got paid vocal lessons after school. She started these lessons when she was 10. She looked up to groups such as Miss A and Wonder Girls and wanted to have success just like them. These groups were her main reason of wanting to become an idol. She got into rapping a lot later when she was 16 and would record herself freestyling and post it on her social media accounts. As her raps got more and more popular, she got more and more confident and started to become more serious about it.
