    ¤ all her life, adeline has been a shy person. she is the type of person who prefers to stay under the radar, and never used to talk in her classes unless she was forced to. growing up, she was never really confident, and always used to have trouble talking to knew people, because she was socially awkward and never knew what to say. despite constantly being complimented for her looks, she never really had the highest self esteem, which is what led to her being so shy around knew people. she is a kind and polite person, and is known to blush a lot when people compliment her. she's seen as innocent by most fans, due to her sweet nature. however, since moving to korea and getting accepted into sm entertainment, her confidence has been boosted slightly (but not by much). being around the other girls in her group for so long, she's not as shy around them anymore, and they get to see what she is actually like, behind her sharp visuals. around the people she's close to, she is extremely clingy, which is why she can often be seen walking around with her arm linked with another member. she is a touchy-feely person, and actually really likes skinship. once she starts to open up to you, she's not nearly as shy, and can actually be relatively loud. adeline is a fiercely loyal person, especially to those that she is close to, and will always backup her friends no matter what. she is also very hardworking, and is known to push herself twice as hard as some of the other girls, when it comes to dancing and singing. only being a sub vocalist makes her want to improve in her korean, because her voice is actually mostly stable, but it mores her pronunciation that causes problems. she is the groups dance black hole, and is horrible at dancing, to the point where she thought it would hold her back from debuting with the group. she is a well mannered person, who doesn't often voice her opinions, due to the fact that she doesn't want to unintentionally hurt someone's feelings. however, despite this, she is a very honest person and cannot lie to save her life, always showing her true emotions on her face. she is not sarcastic at all, and her attempts to be so are always completely pathetic, and make other people cringe. being an introvert, adeline has minor trust issues, and can often be extremely suspicious of people at first, since it takes her a while to fully open up and trust a person.  the main cause for her shy persona on stage is usually the language barrier. being of chinese decent and growing up in france meant that she never really learn to speak korean, and she has only been learning it for a short amount of time. because of this, she mostly opts for smiles and waves and the occasional aegyo for the fans instead of speaking, because she's scared she'll stumble over her words and make a fool out of herself. adeline is really just a big ball of fluff and bright smiles, but she's also extremely self conscious, and often wonders why she was chosen as the visual when there were so many other girls to choose from in the group.

      - adeline is very shy on stage, and sometimes all the cameras can make her nervous. she doesn't talk much on broadcasts and variety shows, mostly because she is terrified of messing up her pronunciation and stumbling across her words. she doesn't want to make a fool out of herself in front of the fans, so she prefers to just let her other group mates do the talking, and just waves and does aegyo for fans

      - adeline is  bit more open off stage when she is around the other girls. she's known them for so long, so she's much more comfortable around them, and doesn't feel shy at all. she is also extremely clingy, and can often be found hanging really closely to at least one of the other members, (probably THE 4D DANCER or THE SECRET SATAN). off stage she talks a bit more because she doesn't have to worry about being judged for her lack of korean skills, and she can just be herself.

BACKGROUND ➵
    ¤ adeline was born in strasbourg, france, to a pair of teachers. she was the second child to be born to her parents, and was the middle child, as she had two sisters, one older and one younger. living in france, she grew up speaking french at school, and then chinese mandarin at home. her mother was born and raised in french, while her father was fully chinese, and had travelled to france in his university years, where he's met adeline's mother. adeline had always been the average child who didn't stand out in school, and was mostly under the radar. she wasn't exactly popular, but she always had people complimenting her looks, to which she would simply blush and mutter a 'thank you' in return. in school she'd always liked music classes, and particularly enjoyed playing the piano and violin. she'd always wanted to be singer, and she'd been told that she had pretty good vocals. she expressed an interest in becoming an idol after exo debuted with a chinese subunit, and she related to that being part chinese herself. she was first scouted for the entertainment company at a music recital for her piano skills, and then later attended an international audition in early 2013, getting accepted into the company. she began her training in korea later that year.

HIS PERSONALITY  ➵ he is definitely the mood maker of his group, and is always smiling and making others feel happy. he is also a very chatty person, and always knows how to cheer other people up. he is a hard worker and is dedicated to his group, but he also knows how to have fun, without crossing the line. he is very approachable, and can easily hold a conversation (unlike adeline). he is the type of person that you would go to when you need someone to cheer you up, because he never fails to bring a smile to your face. he also doesn't mind doing aegyo for fans, or embarrassing himself on camera. he is just generally a nice person to be around.

FIRST IMPRESSIONS ➵
    ¤ HER | she was kind of terrified at first, since he'd just suddenly started talking to her. she knew who he was, since his group was relatively famous, and she knew he was one of the more talkative members. however, she was still extremely shy, and scared that she'd mess up her korean and embarrass herself in front of him, so she mostly just stuck to nodding her head along with his conversation with wide eyes.
    ¤ HIM | he knew who she was, since he'd heard of her group. he didn't really know much about her, other than the fact that she didn't talk much, and that she wasn't korean, so he just assumed she was shy because she was foreign. he just started up a conversation with her since he'd been left by his own group members, and he honestly didn't see any reason why he shouldn't go and talk to her (he also low-key thought she was pretty, and thought her wide-eyed expression was adorable)

HOW YOUR CHARACTER ACTS AROUND HIM  ➵
    ¤ BEG | at the beginning, adeline was her usual quite and shy self around him, and was sort of scared by his outgoing personality. they were only acquaintances, having just known each other through the idol industry. however, they then become somewhat friends after he starts talking to her at a music show. adeline is still shy around him at this point, and mostly just nods along to what he's saying, and gives him her number without a second thought when he starts pestering him for it (which is low-key so he will stop pestering her).
    ¤ MID | towards the middle, adeline starts talking to him a little bit more, a lot of it over text (even though at the beginning she ignored his texts for a while, until she felt bad and eventually texted him back), and she always waves and smiles shyly at him when she sees him at broadcasts and stuff. due to their schedules, they don't get to see each other in person, but she always goes to coffee shops with him when she has time (because she can't turn down coffee, no matter how shy she is around him). after that they become somewhat closer friends, and he starts helping her with her korean, and she teaches him small bits of french. she really enjoys his company, and is kind of glad that he doesn't get impatient with her whenever she doesn't talk or messes up her pronunciation. by now, she is basically as close with him as she is the other members.
    ¤ END | towards the end, he begins to openly flirt with her, which just makes her all flustered, and she starts blushing around him a lot. because of this, she sometimes gets nervous and stumbles on her korean a lot. she never openly flirts back, but she doesn't make him stop. she also doesn't mind the skinship, since she's a very touchy feeling person, but she does get flustered whenever he gives her back hugs in public. somehow from there they get even closer, and it gets to the point where they are basically a couple, since he's kissed her multiple times, but they aren't officially dating.

HOW HE ACTS AROUND YOUR CHARACTER  ➵
    ¤ BEG | he was his normal self around her, and wasn't awkward at all. he just suddenly started talking to her backstage at a music show when their schedules overlapped, and his group mates had left him and he had bumped into her. he knew she was shy, since he'd heard bits about her group, and had just assumed it was because she was foreign. he went to strike up a casual conversation with her, and did enough talking for the both of them, ignoring the slightly terrified look on her face. he then asked her for her number so they could keep in touch, and he actually didn't expect her to give it to him, even though she looked as if she only did it so he would stop talking to her.
    ¤ MID | he just starts texting her whenever he has a free schedule about anything and everything. he doesn't get salty when she doesn't reply for a while, since their schedules are both pretty busy. he wants to see her and talk to her in person again, but doesn't really know how to ask her, but when he finds out she loves coffee, he starts pestering her to go with him to local coffee shops, which is where he finally gets her to open up a bit more, even though he does most of the talking. he helps her with korean, and in exchange she teaches him bits of french (which leads to him taking it very seriously and actually trying to learn to speak french)
    ¤ END | he starts to flirt with her, just to see her reaction, because he is sort of crushing on her. he always grins when she gets flustered and just hugs her tightly, telling her how cute she is. he also starts to initiate more skinship and is very happy when she doesn't push him away, and has to bite back his large grin whenever they're in public. he is honestly whipped, and starts to call her french nicknames which make her flustered. he also somehow works up the guts to kiss her multiple times, and it gets to the point where they are basically a couple, but he is too chicken to actually ask her out, even though they've already kissed. (it also gets to the point where fans know that something is going on, but neither of their entertainment companies will confirm anything)
