When he was born, his mother's side of the family took care of him and barely let him see his father half the time who lived in a different country. He grew up as an only child and moving around a lot. His mother lived in South Korea with him and his grandparents while his father lived in China alone. Even though his granparents didn't want him visiting his father, he would occasionally to strengthen a bond between them.

Since his mother was extremely young, she acted like more of a sister than a mother to him and would encourage him to do daring things than taking the safe way.
