  3. 1. Why do you want to apply?
  4. I’ve always had a passion for integrating education within a community that shares a passion for substances. HND has been the perfect platform to utilize a safe space for users to interact, and to share knowledge without harming their security. As an experienced user worth a decade of: stimulants, benzos, SSRI’s, Antipsychotics, Alchohol, Tobacco, and good ol’ Canadian weed, I’ve grown an interest in the harm reduction practices needed to truly enjoy the benefits of these various substances. On the flip side, I am a recovering addict who has gone through rehabilitation, outpatient programs, and have gone down the deep end once. My training in philosophy of mind (B.A) and Canadian Law (J.D/MBA) focusing on Intellectual Property and Corporate Risk Management further aids in providing logical, objective help if members need it.
  5. 2. What qualities do you have that are useful for moderating?
  6. I specialize in logic and certified in confidentiality safe space language. I believe these qualities would help further improve our harm reduction channel, stimulate the stimzen’s that don’t engage as much by allocating VC time to play ice breaker games that are fun! I also advocate for open door transparency: a moderator should remain neutral and focus their work as the representative of the server in the best manner that they can.
  7.
  8. 3. How do you think you can improve the server?
  9. I believe that the server can build monetary value if we can collaborate on weekly MOD meetings with ideas to stimulate our Stimzens. A first would be harm reduction subs that specialize in each substance family; medical articles, first hand experience that has proper disclaimers to ensure legal waiver, etc. Even a section in harm reduction focusing on basic legal tips 101 to ensure that Stimzens are aware of their rights. From the time I have been here (2 weeks) I have calculated that about 54.3% of the total users online remain inactive, but are “online”. With the right tools in hand, it would not be an issue for HND to have consistent patrons and grow into a server like Drugs Forum.com, who charges $250 per year for membership. If we can properly reform HND to remain the same but amplify some of the underrated aspects, HND can start making money to funnel in additional resources, and break through as a leading community.
  10. 4. Why should we trust you?
  11. Trust is established when respect is mutual on both ends. I am a transparent individual who does not find an interest in stirring the pot, nor do I believe that the server would benefit from having an amplification of emotionally driven users moderating. I am trained in disassociating subjectivity and objectivity, for the greater good in protecting others. Having said that: my weakness is that I am not a coder, nor do I have any kind of IT knowledge. This in turn can elevate me as a viable resource, as I only focus on the interpersonal and legal spectrum of communication. My career potentially is in jeopardy as this is the opposite of what I am “supposed” to represent, but I believe in net neutrality, and transparency to a T. I’ve learned a lot through this discord, and would be honoured to give back in the form of education and front end-helpline support.

  13. 5. Are you currently, or have you ever been a staff member for another server? (Being friends with the admin doesn't count.)
  14. No.
  15.
  16. 6. Do you have coding or discord developer experience?
  17. No.
  18. 7. How much time can you be active everyday?
  19. I am in EST, and can be available for about 8 hours. Please note that my hours will increase from June-August to about 10. September will be the only time I will be on for about 6 hours as this is the busiest time in Canadian Corporate Law. Nonetheless, I occasionally check in with the harm reduction/real talk sub just to see if I can help in the moment.
  20.
  21. 8. Do you have any other comment you would like to say or have us consider?
  22. I thank you all for the opportunity to be part of this community, as it has propelled my mental health in its own little way. I hope to contribute to this for other Stimzens!
  23.
  24. 9. How long have you been a part of the server?
  25. Almost a month :3 But have been part of r/cocaine for a long time as a frequent poster
