  1. [01:05] Regulus appeared out of a nearby Wayfinding portal and approached. Has no idea what's going on yet.
  2. (Regulus orn Grimmore)
  3. [01:06] Mars says, "Uh..."
  4. [01:06] The High Lady and her entourage are here. They seem to arrive as silent as the night itself, from a portal that tore through reality.
  5.
  6. She pauses to scan everyone, then offers a quick wave.
  7.
  8. "We're here to chat," she announces unceremoniously, tired-eyed. She looks like she hasn't slept in weeks.
  9.
  10. Actually, she literally hasn't in several years.
  11.
  12. "Hope you found our missive well."
  13. (Asta Hargrave)
  14. [01:08] Forget the butterfly, Ophelia - the Montclaire seemed queasy, for a long while. Who in their right mind had decided concocting circles to transport people large distances was a good idea? She pulled away from the assembled travelers briefly, going to the cliff to vomit violently into the water for some time.
  15.
  16. Just when she thought it was over? It came back with a vengeance. She remained by the water for some time before eventually the illness passed and she moved back over.
  17. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  18. [01:10] Ah, right. Wayfinding.
  19.
  20. Something that he isn't quite used to, but he can see that being used in order to come here; although, with that out of the way, he merely remarks.
  21.
  22. "You look pretty terrible, Asta."
  23.
  24. "I suggest some sleep."
  25.
  26. It's easy to note that much, but soon enough, he remarks.
  27.
  28. "About what, exactly?"
  29. (Basil)
  30. [01:10] Finley was none too pleased with any circumstances that brought him to the present situation, and with certain individuals present, he was completely on edge. For the moment the Teraphim was tight lipped and still, for though he was ready for all Hel to break loose, he wouldn't be the cause of it.
  31. (Finley)
  32. [01:11] She's a curious thing. Uncertainty gathered within the way she would lean briefly against Basil's side. "We received the missive, but were going to be discussing things." At this particular moment though, her gaze would soon drift towards Ophelia...A particular hum spilling past her lips..
  33.
  34. "Is...There also a reason as to why those three have decided to follow behind you. Just curious, because that one." A single finger lifts towards Ophelia cos Montclaire. "Has been banned from her due to her participation in diplomacy that...Was not approved, apparently." However, for the mean time, the woman seems to glance about those that were around, quirking a slow eyebrow.
  35.
  36. Hmh…
  37.
  38. Why's everyone so tense? Is it because of Del?
  39.
  40. For now, her gaze drifts back towards the 'loopy' woman, who seemed to be clearly out of her mind at this particular moment, before drifting back towards the lot of them. "Well...What would the lot of you like to speak about?"
  41. (Mars)
  42. [01:13] Tiernay seems rather reserved as presents a playful smile.
  43. (Tiernay Reveille)
  44. [01:14] Nox says, "Hmm."
  45. [01:14] There was a hand on her chest, Ophelia very much so adjusting to the queasiness that still surfaced occasionally. Maybe she'd just... Walk back. That sounded much better. Considering she held no card in this game of politics she was silent, admiring the natural beauty around her before Mars pointed her out.
  46.
  47. Cerulean eyes were cast back towards Mars once she spoke and eventually a shake of her head was offered.
  48.
  49. "It was approved by Alexander. I'm not sure what you were told or what you heard, Mars, but I do sincerely apologize for any miscommunication that may have happened." She offered with a small nod - before it was cut halfway, a finger rising as she turned away.
  50.
  51. She looked ill, and thusly she fell to silence.
  52. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  53. [01:14] Mars says, "...That isn't what I was told by Serea.."
  54. [01:14] Cerise eyed Asta and the other hesitantly, keeping herself close to the tree she stood near. Her gaze shifts towards Sythaeryn, who had since inched off to the side before the group from Myllenoris arrives...
  55.
  56. But she remains where she is, front and just off of the center as she keeps a watch on Mars and Basil.
  57.
  58. Perhaps this was about to get interesting?
  59. (Cerise)
  60. [01:14] Ophelia cos Montclaire says, "... Serea also came here without... Ugh.... Approval from Alexander."
  61. [01:14] His brow raises once more when it comes to the circumstances about conversation. These people, in particular, are not the sort that he finds himself enjoying.
  62.
  63. As of late, no, he's rather filled with the detestable sensation of displeasure every time they are mentioned in general. His eyes doth linger, like flames between burning cinders, this present sienna color blasting each with as scornful a stare as the last.
  64.
  65. He gives a rather rough grin on his own as he looks beyond them to those behind them. And, one such person in general, one such presence. "Now why is Ophelia with you all, here."
  66.
  67. He cants his head to the side.
  68.
  69. "Especially after bursting into the prison not weeks ago and asking for the release of two prisoners to help fight, stave off, and eventually kill Asta?"
  70. (Owyn)
  71. [01:14] Tiernay Reveille says, "We were told alot of things, to expect anything short of competency from Osrona is almost a fever dream, Marzipan. "
  72. [01:15] Mars looks up to the sky. This...Sure is a nice night.
  73. (Mars)
  74. [01:15] Finley gave Ophelia a sideways glance.
  75. (Finley)
  76. [01:15] Ophelia cos Montclaire says, "What are you talking about? I've been a prisoner."
  77. [01:16] Tiernay Reveille says, "We were all there."
  78. [01:16] Owyn says, "Literally."
  79. [01:16] "She's here because Romani is here," Asta says with a light sigh.
  80.
  81. "I didn't know the circumstances behind her... bar from Alabastre? If I had, I wouldn't have agreed for her to tag along. As for the others, well, they are relevant to the discussions."
  82.
  83. She nods at her cohort, but lets Regulus do most the talking.
  84.
  85. "If her poses a problem...?"
  86. (Asta Hargrave)
  87. [01:16] Romani would follow after his wife as she distinctly went to empty the contents of her stomach and look after her for a few moments. He pats her back, before they return, pausing.
  88.
  89. "I am being brought to ensure what they say is honest. If something does not match up with what I am told, I will bring it up." They said simply, explaining it to Mars.
  90.
  91. A small smile is sent her way, perhaps just towards her way of speaking. But he otherwise does not comment, only moving his hand down to hold Ophelia's as he listens.
  92. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  93. [01:16] Mars scratches her head...This is too much.
  94. (Mars)
  95. [01:16] Mars says, "I'm not...Particularly offended by her being here. It matters little now.."
  96. [01:17] Ophelia cos Montclaire says, "I like to move past things, yes."
  97. [01:17] Ah, questions he could answer!
  98.
  99. "Lady Montclaire is not here on behalf of Osrona -perhaps unsurprisingly given our presence- but instead out of desire to accompany her husband, Stellus Romani here. He's here because his presence should indicate our honesty, and Finley is here in his position as Mistseer, and should anyone decide to make Aerilon's assault a repeat occurrence. Simply a precaution."
  100.
  101. The Lord Chancellor continues, content he'd explained things sufficiently.
  102.
  103. "We're here to personally clear up misunderstandings and what not. We were content to wait for a return missive, but Basten's decision has...well, we figured it best to address things personally rather than be blindsided. Reasonable, no?"
  104.
  105. His eyes slid over to Ophelia. A slight frown followed. He hadn't known that.
  106. (Regulus orn Grimmore)
  107. [01:17] Owyn says, "Mmmm. No, I don't like her here."
  108. [01:17] The drakanite frowned with disapproval at the sudden motley gang, though he eyed Finley in particular for a moment. A brief smile before his attention went elsewhere.
  109. (Sythaeryn Vartuul)
  110. [01:18] Asta shoots the faintest LOOK at Sythaeryn, but rolls her shoulders nonchalantly. She didn't look like she was too bothered by his presence.
  111. (Asta Hargrave)
  112. [01:18] Sythaeryn Vartuul whispers something.
  113. [01:19] Finley glared back at Sythaeryn, though the smile was not returned. Cuts and bruises had decreased in number across his exposed skin, but were still present, and where the edge of his shirt came together near his neck, bandage row after bandage row was visible, likely descending down and around his entire torso.
  114. (Finley)
  115. [01:19] Nox takes a few steps closer, looking over those present. Ophelia and Romani... Moving around with the likes of Asta? Even despite the demands they made during that skirmish, surely Romani had been present for that one when Nox was too?
  116.
  117. "Surprising, that some are so easily calm when so many have been killed. It's rather disappointing isn't it?"
  118. (Nox)
  119. [01:19] What is this? This embrace upon them, a tightness they've not really felt. It hurts, but Del doesn't entirely process it in such a state. This blissful mindset they've been placed it.
  120.
  121. But, the intensity stops, and something feels far more intense than it should. Like someone had a drum in the distance but its sound banged within their ears.
  122.
  123. Shortly after it, a disgusting sight appears.
  124.
  125. This mindset of theirs changes entirely. Once such nice bliss instantly replaced over with a righteous fire. Flames with an eye to decimate all in its pathway, evil especially.
  126.
  127. "Such ignorance I see. Demons, the lot of them. You shake hands with them? You allow your soul to be tainted? To play these games- Had you not come with more for enlighten!?"
  128.
  129. They yell instantly, this fire to Ophelia, whom they were just with. Teraphim, demons, Regulus who practically was a demon as he lied in bed with one.
  130.
  131. "Feel it! Feel the wrath of the very heavens. Perish for your insolence. Receive a cleansing that will leave all of Esshar relieved. You are all mere stains to the earth."
  132.
  133. Starlight surges right here and now. Their lungs fill with a divine breath. Such was the way it was meant to be. Yes.
  134.
  135. "Let the heavens make you tremble."
  136.
  137. They have lost it. Golden light conjures, ready, a scorching heat burns- A chilling cool freezes. Yet it feels so right.
  138. (Del mer Joyau)
  139. [01:19] Tiernay Reveille says, "....Ah."
  140. [01:20] Mars inches carefully out of the way.
  141. (Mars)
  142. [01:22] Regulus feels....a little cold, maybe? Not very wrath-of-the-heavens.
  143. (Regulus orn Grimmore)
  144. [01:22] Owyn and Tiernay's words cause the faintest bit of discomfort, even as Romani held her hand. So instead? She simply busied herself with admiring the scenery.
  145.
  146. Yes.
  147.
  148. Her eyes stayed trained upon a nice set of rose bushes instead for the time being. Then Del speaks and she looks up and over towards the Arch-Priest, blinking several times.
  149.
  150. "... You're still tripping off that Orange Juice, Del," She commented dryly. Knowledge shared only between the pair of them, Elesius, and Lloyd. "I'm not allowing my soul to be tainted. I'm here because Romani is here. That's all."
  151.
  152. Then the starlight surged up around their form and for a moment, the Montclaire hesitates. There's a small glance paid to her husband.
  153. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  154. [01:22] Asta raises a finger up to the air.
  155.
  156. "Alright," she says. "Maybe somewhere more private to talk-?"
  157.
  158. Her eyes immediately begin to radiate cool, pale-blue light. Her superhuman gaze locked entirely upon the Arch-Priest, as they seem to... power up? The High Lady raises her guard, but doesn't act. Not until they do, first.
  159.
  160. "A word of warning. If the little priest attempts to attack of cohort, they'll have to be dealt with. It is not my intention to begin any hostilities here. But..."
  161.
  162. She gestures at Del. As if to say, yeah, that's a problem ready to happen.
  163. (Asta Hargrave)
  164. [01:22] Dax would look at Del.
  165.
  166. "See...this why I skipped church."
  167.
  168. Mans be wilding out here.
  169. (Dax)
  170. [01:25] Sythaeryn scratched at his neck indecisively with a quiet murmur.
  171. (Sythaeryn Vartuul)
  172. [01:25] Romani stares at Del. The Sun and Moon eyes just rest upon them and their words.
  173.
  174. "First, if you say that someone is ignorant, it is important not to preach it ourselves, Del. They did not intend to sacrifice Edelaide to the spirits, and indeed, I have seen no human sacrifice within their lands. Spirits witness duels, yes, but they do not sacrifice people to the spirits."
  175.
  176. "It is sad to see you brought to arrogance." A frown on his face, shaking their head towards the Arch-Priest. All the same, he falls quiet after.
  177. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  178. [01:25] Truthfully, speaking in more privacy seemed to be a more preferable option, if only due to the fact that it could avoid the unnecessary eyes and ears.
  179.
  180. "Mhm. The castle, then."
  181.
  182. And.. a single glance given to Owyn with Del.
  183.
  184. "Owyn, please keep Del away from charging in and trying to sweep stardust around."
  185. (Basil)
  186. [01:27] Isn't certain as to what Del had suddenly gotten into... Quite frankly, she was partially entertained and somewhat...Frightened. Now didn't really seem like the time to be having this kind of discussion, considering the fact that the babbling priestess/wife(?) was far beyond out of the loop. Although, this didn't seem too farfetched to her...After all, she'd be more afraid for Del, if Del was in the right mind. Regardless...
  187.
  188. "It's fine to speak out here, honestly." She adds. "I don't like being cooped up in the castle...Plus, everyone would just hear about it regardless." She'd add, nodding. "The night is nice, the wind is here...And plus, it'd be best for everyone to get some sort of clarity, especially, since this priestess seemed rather...Hmm...
  189.
  190. Concerned about the true intentions.
  191.
  192. "But ah...Owyn, if you will- please, restrain Del. There's little need to have her assault any of them." For now, she sighs. Because, well...She's almost certain that everyone present would be in the castle regardless.
  193.
  194. It'd just be another setting.
  195.
  196. For another moment.
  197.
  198. "Just continue on, please."
  199. (Mars)
  200. [01:28] The drakanite's serpentine eyes cut into Romani with a contained glare. Compared to the likes of Pericles, it was a rather disappointing display - Collar and all. "Yeah. Myllenoris didn't demand hundreds of sacrifices from Osrona."
  201.
  202. "That didn't happen."
  203. (Sythaeryn Vartuul)
  204. [01:28] Isn't certain as to what Del had suddenly gotten into...
  205.
  206. "It's fine to speak out here, honestly." She adds. "I don't like being cooped up in the castle...Plus, everyone would just hear about it regardless." She'd add, nodding. "The night is nice, the wind is here...And plus, it'd be best for everyone to get some sort of clarity/", especially, since this priestess seemed rather...Hmm...
  207.
  208. Concerned about the true intentions.
  209.
  210. "But ah...Owyn, if you will- please, restrain Del. There's little need to have her assault any of them." For now, she sighs. Because, well...She's almost certain that everyone present would be in the castle regardless.
  211.
  212. It'd just be another setting.
  213.
  214. For another moment.
  215.
  216. "Just continue on, please."
  217. (Mars)
  218. [01:30] His arms are around Del as it stands, and what stands to reason is the fact that they are loopy indeed, yes. That much will remain true, but there is also the idea that what they had seen, and what remains true to this very day is that Ophelia had been down in that prison.
  219.
  220. So for them to now be here, playing the pitiful role of a little lamb once more? Alongside their husband no less. Well, it was a little hard to believe.
  221.
  222. He can scowl, he does scowl. Owyn tightens his hold as the Arch Priest begins to enhance their concentration of mana, calling upon golden lights begotten from the stars.
  223.
  224. "Ah, noted. Your warning, High Lady," his acknowledgement of their title is given with reproach, disdain staining his lips. "But I'll issue my own warning. I am not Alexander nor are we Osrona."
  225.
  226. In fact, he was somewhat sick and tired of these entitled airs people had about them in the first place. But, yes, Owyn holdstheir little star against them to prevent their lashing out, hands on their hands.
  227.
  228. "So, if you don't mind. Let's hear what you've gotta say."
  229. (Owyn)
  230. [01:30] Laughing, she takes another step closer. Sythaeryn's comment makes her hum, bringing a finger up to tap against her chin.
  231.
  232. "Hundreds... Alive as well! That's what I recall, and specifically for the vale. But I guess, that's not an important detail these days." Orchids scan over Ophelia and Romani but ultimately land on Asta.
  233.
  234. "Is it?"
  235. (Nox)
  236. [01:30] Mars says, "...Hmh."
  237. [01:31] Sythaeryn Vartuul says, "You know, right after I killed Serea, one of their Teraphim - Tieru is his name - told me that I should have sacrificed them to the spirits instead."
  238. [01:31] Romani would give a small nod towards Sythaeryn.
  239.
  240. "They did demand two hundred lives as sacrifice. And later that was redacted. However, I am certain of what I have seen inside. During my stay there has been no human sacrifice, and if I believe they were doing sacrifice, I would be calling them out where I stand."
  241.
  242. "Again, I am here to call out lies."
  243. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  244. [01:31] Ophelia cos Montclaire says, "......."
  245. [01:31] She visibly winced.
  246. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  247. [01:31] Cerise says, "Ah, so you can just change your mind that easily about two hundred sacrifices..."
  248. [01:31] Asta keeps her arms folded. Saying nothing.
  249. (Asta Hargrave)
  250. [01:31] "It isn't necessarily a concern to me. What's a few hundred people anyway?" Tiernay chuckles, his gaze having been averted for but a split second.
  251.
  252. "Besides what's Romani doing here? Everything involving him is typically convoluted anyhow."
  253. (Tiernay Reveille)
  254. [01:32] Tiernay Reveille says, "We're perfectly able to discern truth, from lies anyhow."
  255. [01:32] Nox says, "He seems rather delusional to me..."
  256. [01:33] Romani cos Montclaire says, "I still need to meet and judge Tieru for themselves, but I am told they are an extremist, and not the representation of Myllenoris as a whole."
  257. [01:33] Del's presence and aggression being what it was, the Lord Chancellor found himself lightly tracing runes on his wife's bow. Just making sure its in tip top shape.
  258.
  259. "Scare tactics exist. That was always the intent, someone those present at our war councils are aware of." He didn't bother arguing about Tieru, though. Asta could comment on that if she wanted.
  260.
  261. "The setting is of no matter to me, so long as those uninvolved in your governing restrain their comments, if any present are such." Otherwise, he was unbothered.
  262.
  263. "There have been miscommunications. We're here to personally set things straight, as we previously intimated."
  264. (Regulus orn Grimmore)
  265. [01:33] Basil seems to idly shift his gaze towards Mars.. he moves over.
  266. (Basil)
  267. [01:33] "Do not speak when you idle!"
  268.
  269. Their voice loud, towards Romani.
  270.
  271. "While you have fallen to an occultist, I have been within our walls fight for our people. Uplifting downed spirits, acting for the Stars and the Heavens."
  272.
  273. "The Stars seek it. Cleansing of that which is foul. You'll be smite down before more venom can leave your lips."
  274.
  275. "A demon! And you worship one. You filthy, misguided forest dwelling animals!"
  276.
  277. Such foul words from the Arch Priest. Angered, also.
  278.
  279. "Spare me your lies! You defend the? For a moment, Romani? Have they corrupted your mind? You blind, fool. Reduced to nothing but a puppet. I've heard enough."
  280.
  281. "Perish. All of you."
  282.
  283. "All of you."
  284.
  285. "Like shepherded lambs. Spineless, weak!" Del starts kicking now, trying to free themself from this hold. If they do, a burning golden light met Regulus.
  286. (Del mer Joyau)
  287. [01:34] Gimme your scalp, Regulus.
  288. (Del mer Joyau)
  289. [01:34] Mars 's ears flatten atop of her head. Her eyebrows furrowing slightly.
  290. (Mars)
  291. [01:35] Mars trips Del...
  292. (Mars)
  293. [01:35] ya yoi..
  294. (Mars)
  295. [01:35] trips Del too.
  296. (Basil)
  297. [01:35] Steps in front of Regulus, to tank any attacks directed at him.
  298. (Asta Hargrave)
  299. [01:35] An attempt to save poor Del from falling over.
  300. (Owyn)
  301. [01:35] Looking to the others he would wait for orders.
  302.
  303. Though the one hundred soul things was something to listen to. It made him wonder what kind of sick freak of a bastard would want to kill so many people for power?
  304.
  305. Then again he was looking at her.
  306. (Dax)
  307. [01:35] Tiernay judo chops Del's throat.
  308. (Tiernay Reveille)
  309. [01:36] Del is just assaulted in their attempts....
  310. (Del mer Joyau)
  311. [01:39] A hand lifted itself up, pinching the bridge of her nose in irritation. There was a deep inhale from the Montclaire as she debated on if she should even say anything. After all, she had no business in whatever they had come up with.
  312.
  313. She was... Too busy watching Del ingest centuries old potions, thinking it was orange juice. There was a brief pause as Del's brilliance of stardust flared up, or perhaps it was the madness as they slipped further and further. As she tried to out and out attack Regulus that was when Ophelia spoke up, directing her attention to the others who would hopefully try to hold the Arch-Priest back.
  314.
  315. "Del drank some potion that I'm pretty certain was Orange Juice, but it was also hidden under an altar in a temple that was being reclaimed by nature.... So, who knows how old it is, really?" She questioned. "You probably want to stop her. She doesn't know what she'sdoing."
  316.
  317. There was a gentle tap to Ophelia's temple as she explained. She certainly didn't wish to see Del perish, after all.
  318. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  319. [01:39] Del mer Joyau says, "SHUT YOUR MOUTH."
  320. [01:39] Asta raises an eyebrow at Regulus' tinkering. She didn't even realizer her bow needed a tune-up. She nods at him in thanks, but says nothing until he was done talking.
  321.
  322. "The human sacrifices were a psychological ploy. You all conveniently leave out the fact that I offered the alternative of just coins. But I'm not here to debate moral relativism." She waves her hand dismissively.
  323.
  324. "But in any case. We're here to lay out concrete terms for Osrona and Esshar at large, post-war. These plans involve you. I'm sure you'll want to be in the know. And no, contrary to what you've heard from-..."
  325.
  326. Her eyes narrow onto Owyn.
  327.
  328.
  329. "-Certain people, I'm not interested in ruling over Alabastre or anything. My main interest, right now, is the ending of this war and the creation of a union of Esshar. One that promotes balance, harmony, and prosperity. So that we may heal from the many years of war, and ready ourselves for threats to all of the kingdoms of Esshar.
  330.
  331. Barsburg. Witchcraft. Demons. Things of that nature."
  332.
  333. She looks up at the sky for a moment. A faint smile traces her lips.
  334.
  335. "Our plans include the restructuring of Osrona's governing bodies. The removal of the Petrakis dynasty from power. We do this, because we will win the war, and they have forced us to march upon their city and kill tens of thousands in the process.
  336.
  337. So they can never again be trusted near any form of power."
  338. (Asta Hargrave)
  339. [01:39] Ophelia cos Montclaire asks, "See?"
  340. [01:39] Ophelia cos Montclaire asks, "Would the Del we all know say that?"
  341. [01:40] Sythaeryn Vartuul says, "Yes."
  342. [01:40] Romani cos Montclaire says, "From the last meeting at the Church, I could see them coming to this level, yes."
  343. [01:40] Finley sighed.
  344.
  345. "You've dragged me into a mess, Regulus." he muttered. "If I'd known Osrona's most famous lying sycophant would be here I would have rather stayed with Amy.." A bored expression drifted from Del and back to Sythaeryn, the drakanite's ever movement continually noted and studied by the youngest Teraphim present.
  346.
  347. Still he made no move, even if his trigger finger might have twitched when no one was looking.
  348. (Finley)
  349. [01:40] Del mer Joyau exclaims, "Cowardice. It's all I hear! You prostrate yourself so happily for demons!"
  350. [01:41] Ophelia cos Montclaire says, ".... I don't prostrate myself to jack shit, Del. Shut the fuck up."
  351. [01:41] Asta looks back at Finley and shrugs. Sorry, buddy!!
  352. (Asta Hargrave)
  353. [01:41] Tiernay Reveille says, "...."
  354. [01:41] Ophelia cos Montclaire says, "... That was rude of me. My apologies."
  355. [01:42] Tiernay Reveille says, "Hmn, hmn."
  356. [01:42] Nox says, "What poor taste."
  357. [01:42] Regulus shied away from the attempted attack, but given how quickly it was stopped relaxed.
  358.
  359. "To clarify, the union my wife refers to is the League concept. It has always been the League. As for Osrona specifically, I can go into more detail at your whim, although I'd prefer this one stop calling a Primordial, a child of a divine spirit, a demon. Saying it for Aschea might as well say it about Garljing, or Njorun, too."
  360.
  361. Otherwise, Asta's covered it.
  362. (Regulus orn Grimmore)
  363. [01:44] "Hrm."
  364.
  365. All the talking. It almost felt like all that he does as of late is political talking and meeting people that wanted something from him, one way or another, but it can't be helped.. maybe he basically signed himself for a life like this the moment that he decided to structure Alabastre in such manner.
  366.
  367. Although, Asta has but one point - they wouldn't want to be left without a know.
  368.
  369. "You see, Asta."
  370.
  371. "Normally, I'd say that's a very good idea. Having peace and everything is surely nice, I suppose.." But where his gaze trails off, he adds.
  372.
  373. "What seems strange to me is that suddenly there's a turn - from someone eager to install Marie onto the throne, to the proposal you're currently saying.."
  374.
  375. "... to claiming that the throne belongs to Teraphim."
  376.
  377. And as far as he's concerned, this could only mean one thing.
  378.
  379. "Seems awfully inconsistent in what your plans are as the time goes on, don't you think?"
  380. (Basil)
  381. [01:47] There seemed to be an attempt made. When Del rushes forward - a single hand would raise within the woman's directions, where a contradiction would soon be made. The steady chill is met with an intense heat...Passion in the presence of patience, where hands of heat and stardust would grasp upon her mana circuits temporarily...As if locking her limbs in place to stop her from moving...It is what one might've imagined. For what they see is the woman being overheated....If only briefly. For it's intense one second...And then displaced the next, letting her go once her pursuit had fully been stopped.
  382.
  383. "These are things that you've already stated in the letter.." She says rather silently- the chat that occurs between Ophelia and Del only makes matters seem that much more tense...For those that are behind her. As far as Mars felt, she remained to be rather...Perturbed by the actions altogether. But still, should Del pursue another fight...
  384.
  385. It's clear that she'd let the woman have a go.
  386.
  387. But to digress.
  388.
  389. "We're aware that the 'sacrifices' are something that you were making up as a shock factor...Most just often say what you take and run with it- although, I imagine making such tactics during war is simply what you're going to get. Fear." A pause is given. Her gaze drifting up towards the moon that empowers the blue path before looking back towards Del..
  390.
  391. "I believe what Basil said, however, is the concern." For, if she's clear...The recent announcement states something of the sort. Although, by 'representative...Is it simply an overseer or more? Word is odd nowadays.
  392. (Mars)
  393. [01:50] "I made it clear from the start the terms for peace with Osrona were going to grow more severe the longer the war carried on. The more people the war cost. This isn't so much of a radical change of plans, moreso an extrapolation of them."
  394.
  395. Asta had, after all, announced very early into the war that the demands for peace would intensify if Osrona forced Myllenoris into a siege upon the Shimmering City itself.
  396.
  397. This included, of course. Alexander Petrakis' execution, not just exile.
  398.
  399. "And of course, what I mean by the fact that the throne belongs to a Teraphim, was part of my original plan to have--"
  400.
  401. She smiles, and looks over her shoulder.
  402.
  403. "Finley, here, rule over Esshar as regent for a time. Then, a 'head' of the council of kingdoms chosen by the Coalition. All of us. Not just me. Finley is impartial, and impervious to my influence. For, you see, just earlier he challenged me to a fight to the death because he disagreed with me."
  404.
  405. She looks away.
  406.
  407. "Still alive, because of my daughter."
  408.
  409. Only because of her daughter. The Spirit's Witness was a fight to the death. She would have respected the tradition, if it weren't for her daughter's pleading to spare her fiancee's life.
  410.
  411. "In any case, we don't come here to rehash what was stated in the letter," she concludes. She gestures back to Romani.
  412.
  413. "We've written down our proposed terms, which we've already shared with the Therian Dragonlords. This is new information. For you to opine on."
  414. (Asta Hargrave)
  415. [01:51] Mars says, "Understandable."
  416. [01:53] Dax whispers something.
  417. [01:53] Mars whispers something.
  418. [01:54] Mars glances towards Finley, she purses her lips in a hum.
  419. (Mars)
  420. [01:54] "That isn't how it works, Asta."
  421.
  422. As much as one could say that others are in agreement to this, he isn't; and he can tell that there's a twist here, a twist there, until it becomes exactly what Asta wants. Perhaps, he grows a bit tired of hearing justifications too..
  423.
  424. "Increasing severity means sticking to original plan to target a particular structure in Osrona - turning from exiling Alexander, to executing him, is a valid option."
  425.
  426. "Because it targets Alexander, but severity grows."
  427.
  428. Yet, a pause.
  429.
  430. "Making a triumvirate, however, or even putting your own people in charge - that's not part of the plan. It never was to begin with, and even if you wanted to propose that.."
  431.
  432. "Then it means you ought to gather people to inform them if what you want to do, and let them vote. That's how alliances work, Asta."
  433.
  434. "Otherwise, that's taking reigns in your own hands."
  435.
  436. Is it a call out, then? Perhaps. But while the tone of his voice does not rise, it's clear that there is a rather.. cold expression upon his countenance, one that clearly does not speak of being pleased by what he hears either.
  437.
  438. "But go on."
  439.
  440. "With that new information."
  441. (Basil)
  442. [01:55] Romani's eyes had continued to stare at Del. Only disappointment wears in that gaze of his.
  443.
  444. "Regulus has what was written. Again, I recommend that you both sign off on even the draft so it can be confirmed fully scale that they are the long term plans. But as stated, I have not heard any information I have heard as wrong yet."
  445.
  446. He shakes his head, gazing carrying back to the conversation at hand.
  447.
  448. "Written word is important, especially if it is shown to all. Lies can be proven. Truths can be proven."
  449. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  450. [01:57] Finley crossed his arms. He wasn't happy to be here, but Asta's recount of their duel only further soured his mood. "I'm still being told all the details.." Finley said, eyes narrowed at the back of the High Lady's head. "But Asta's more or less ruined the reputation of Teraphim across Esshar." he said, boldly in the moment if something was to be considered as such.
  451.
  452. "If there's something I can do to ensure crazed zealots stop calling us demons and thinking we drink the blood of the living, then I'll do what I'm asked."
  453.
  454. He locked eyes with Basil as Finley stepped around Regulus. "Your concerns with Asta are beyond well founded. But while she's manipulated and lied, Alexander proves to be nothing more than an empty headed idiot born into a family that stuck him on a throne. His brain has more or less melted through his ears, and if there's something worse than a snake coiling around the whole of Esshar, it's a moron with the largest army at his back still at large."
  455.
  456. "I don't know what the result of all of this will be. But I can assure you that unlike the politicians of Osrona, unlike the Faith and all it's current propaganda, unlike hidden witches slinking in the shadows. Unlike the dragons of Theria and unlike Asta herself, I cannot and will never tell a lie."
  457.
  458. "And if I have any say in what comes next, I'll be certain that Alabastre is represented as an equal member in all Essharan standings. An independent kingdom in its own right with a place at the table along the rest."
  459. (Finley)
  460. [01:58] Ophelia cos Montclaire says, "....."
  461. [01:58] Basil says, "--I think you're supposed to discuss this sort of thing before trying to convince people, Finley."
  462. [01:59] Basil says, "If you didn't get the memo, I'm not very into the idea that just gets shoved down my mouth without prior discussion."
  463. [01:59] "I've always been one for open conversation to an extent. Simple honest words, followed by that of action. It is quite the conundrum, hearing all the opinions which fly about on a whim."
  464.
  465. From those that he may have considered irrelevant, or simple enough from people that heh ad little of a desire to do but forcefully squeeze out a bit of honesty.
  466.
  467. Finley's retort however does warrant a bit of laughter from the Tiernay.
  468.
  469. "A sweet sentiment, though from what I recall you are only alive because someone else doled out a bit of mercy in your favor. A rather weak promise from someone that's necessarily already dead in my eyes."
  470. (Tiernay Reveille)
  471. [01:59] Asta Hargrave says, "We are here to discuss. If you have problems with it, these plans aren't concrete. If they were, we wouldn't be here."
  472. [01:59] Finley says, "Neither am I. I only learned of this today. So I'm more than ready to discuss it."
  473. [01:59] ...
  474.
  475. Some details he was aware of, others not so much. When he hears that Finley would oversee Osrona the drakanite's lips press together, considering that for a moment. He spoke quietly for a time, "When I told you I'd help in this war, I did so to have my vengeance against certain people within Osrona."
  476.
  477. "I've no interest in 'peace' until they're all dead. Pericles, Serea, and Siegfried were among them. So is Marie."
  478.
  479. "But what's clear is you couldn't be trusted from the start, not even among your own people. Nobody knows what you truly stand for. Alexander? The man at least has heart and courage, and his people know that his direction is true. You and your Teraphim- your son included- are as trustworhy as demons, just as Del says."
  480.
  481. "...Now, I'm not so sure. Perhaps I'll hunt my enemies indepedently."
  482. (Sythaeryn Vartuul)
  483. [02:02] "Still alive because you need fighters."
  484.
  485. The looks of it, at least. They have been having words as it all seems, from the moment they touched down here with their magic of teleportation and what not. And as Del attempts to wrest free from his hold, he has half a mind to release them in whole.
  486.
  487. What love did he have for these few people in his presence? What care did he have for them to deny his little universe the chance to rid them of this place. Heretics, foolish ones, whatever people wanted to consider them.
  488.
  489. Owyn's opinion is not of the positive nature because he wants only one to live through this in the entirety of Osrona and they are well within his arms at this given moment.
  490.
  491. Yet, there has always been the dislike of the grey skins, the blue skinned and silver toned. The innate aggression has been cooled on ice, having no reason to push for their destruction. Yet as of late it has come more and more to him.
  492.
  493. His gaze swivelstowards Romani, and towards Ophelia by default. For the words that were spoken, and the most recent flare of pride, rescinded with an apology, not forgiven. Not accepted.
  494.
  495. "What you can do," Finley receives a once over. They, like Florale at some point, weren't exactly the worst he's seen. Yet they weren't the best. There were none, in his eyes. No Teraphim worth a shred of care, a shred of mercy.
  496.
  497. He growls.
  498. A lion indeed.
  499.
  500. "No more words from you."
  501.
  502. Ophelia is looked upon.
  503.
  504. "I won't tolerate another word. You've played your games since we were children, princess." He's seething.
  505.
  506. "Trying to attach yourself to the hip of any strong thing that can walk. On all sides, speaking to all manner of people. Esshar's Walking Box of Secrets. A walking pile of desperation, really."
  507.
  508. Were they playing their games even now? Were they allowed to?
  509.
  510. "One more word, especially to Del, and I'll be having your head."
  511. (Owyn)
  512. [02:03] "Indeed. When Lady Asta says 'original' plan, that because its now changed. Given we're confident of this one, we've come to propose it properly, as we did in Theria. Osrona, after the war, will be occupied by the Coalition for a period of at the most four years. For that time, the city will be governed by the Stellus, the Lightbringer, and a representative from each Kingdom. Our current nominee for Myllenoris is Finley. After that, an election within Osrona. They remain in the Coalition, and govern themselves."
  513.
  514. A slight frown at Basil's words, although they were not wrong, entirely.
  515.
  516. "Alabastre announced neutrality. Theria has been informed of the proposal and are currently voting on it amongst themselves, and Ilburg turned on us before we could speak to them. So, in truth, this is the proposal for voting."
  517.
  518. He couldn't help a cringe at Finley's words, but rallied to continue aftera few moments.
  519.
  520. "Warlord Task and Dragonlord Rinn are in favour of this within Theria, and General Alya is still considering things. Any leader position of the Coalition has been shelved for now."
  521.
  522. "Those in Myllenoris don't want another decade of war. We're content with unifying Esshar peacefully, and otherwise minding our own individual business save for Coalition issues."
  523.
  524. Sythaeryn was noted, although the words weren't quite appreciated.
  525.
  526. "If you've a list, by all minds, recite it for us. Might as well be forthright whilst we're all here."
  527.
  528. Owyn is completely ignored.
  529. (Regulus orn Grimmore)
  530. [02:03] Enough, enough, enough.
  531.
  532. It courses through their very veins, this intoxicating concoction. To, it is not the cause of their behavior now. Not in the slightest. It has already left their system but left them feeling as though all in the world had came to a stop, for just a moment.
  533.
  534. The twinkle of every Star, all of them. They can feel it.
  535.
  536. "Your people have no claim to anything. You all barely exist. The Petrakis line given this role by the very heavens."
  537.
  538. "Some decades cannot compare in the slightest to this Star given reign."
  539.
  540. "I've heard enough! You all speak dry words, words will no passion and only venom. A Teraphim belongs in that tiny Vale. Rot there with your spirits."
  541.
  542. "Romani! Romani, Romani. I thought you to be fit for Stellus but quick are you to lose faith. A man with no faith, or will is a dead man. You're no better thanAugust, a corpse. Sit with your Teraphim masters. No longer will you ever be seen the same to me."
  543.
  544. "A moment's hesitation beckons a lifetime of regret. To stray from your path in fear makes you a sheep."
  545.
  546. "A loveless union. Your mouth and betrayal deserves cleansing."
  547.
  548. "Hear me, Heavens above and Leonaus."
  549.
  550. "Even if you do not choose to answer, I am the one of the few still faithful in these trying times. Even if not bestowed upon me, the strength to preserve, to execute your will-- I will continue to do so! For your light is enough-"
  551.
  552. Brilliance bursts from behind them, a golden ray that acts as wings. They surge, once more, their target this fallen Grimmore first.
  553.
  554. "Grant me the strength to SMITE those who oppose you."
  555. (Del mer Joyau)
  556. [02:03] Del has heard enough from the traitor Regulus.
  557. (Del mer Joyau)
  558. [02:04] Asta, once again, attempts to step in front of Regulus to take the brunt of Del's attack. She doesn't hesitate for one second.
  559. (Asta Hargrave)
  560. [02:05] Mars carefully pulls Basil aside. Nope, nope.
  561. (Mars)
  562. [02:07] Nox can't help but light up a little.
  563.
  564. All these terms and plans come flooding out, but Basil simply brushes them aside as if they are nothing. It wasn't too surprising since he didn't even get a say in them beforehand.
  565.
  566. "Such a terrible way to deal with your allies!" She laughs, shaking her head as Tiernay claims Finley's corpse was still laying flat despite him being here. "Doesn't seem like you have too many happy faces with this idea, Finley isn't too reliable from what I have heard?"
  567.
  568. And even Sythaeryn shows his distaste for it all, so how would Mars and Basil stand with so many disapproving voices echoing out?
  569.
  570. "Unreliable, demanding, and unable to discuss your plans properly with those you want on your side. I'm surprised Romani is so weak-willed and accepting of all this, but I guess I am not surprised Ophelia is following you."
  571.
  572. Yet; the sudden screams and calls upon the heavens from Del cause her to pause. A display of cosmic magic that goes beyond most, even Nox's touch upon the stars didn't match it.
  573.
  574. Golden brilliance, with the cosmos crying out in excitement. "I guess things are going to get a little more interesting, aren't they?" But now... Mars seems eager to coward away with Basil, no real surprise due to their attempt at keeping things peaceful between them.
  575.
  576. "Oh no..." Orchids gaze at Owyn, someone who would be less inclined to let Del dive in alone. And then to Tiernay and Sythaeryn, who both enjoyed the exciting things like this brought them.
  577. (Nox)
  578. [02:08] For most of the conversation, and beyond her small bit of argument with Del, Ophelia herself seemed to tune out most things. It was only when Finley spoke up and mentioned Alexander did her attention shift back into the conversation at hand.
  579.
  580. There was a stare spared to the Blackcloak, silent, but lingering. It wasn't one that was of any level of cheerfulness either. She'd let them discuss the details, go back and forth with things that weren't finalized. She didn't care at this point.
  581.
  582. Sythaeryn spoke up and one distinct name he mentioned cause a subtle reaction to her. The widening of her eyes when she realized Marie was a target. Why wouldn't she be? Didn't she slay the dragon in the end? Cut it's head off? That frown of hers only deepened, a short glare sent the Drakanite's way before it eventually tapered off.
  583.
  584. Her gaze returned to the section of flowers and plants until Owyn's gaze met her form and eventually she did look, passively at first, no reaction. Then eventually she shook her head.
  585.
  586. "That isn't true, Owyn. You should know that. - Also stop calling me. I spoke to people to try and achieve peace, and I failed, ultimately in such a thing. I'm not a walking box of secrets, and I've never heard anyone label me as such. I don't know why you suddenly have an issue with me, but I'd like to see it resolved--" She was cut off, as once more Del went for Regulus.
  587.
  588. Those eyes of hers do widen and for a moment she contemplates on whether or not she should even try to step in. Then suddenly, a small smile graced her face. It was devious in all of it's intentions. Even as Asta fails to stop the rampaging, high Arch-Priest, Ophelia makes no move. Her lips curl at the corners, and she seemed mere seconds away from giggling, though no such sound exudes from her. All at once however does that smile fade away into nothingness.
  589.
  590. She'd let the rampaging priest show Regulus the wrath of the cosmos. Whatever Del had seen within that potion she drank left Ophelia completely baffled.
  591. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  592. [02:13] Romani does give a single pause.
  593.
  594. "I am uncertain if you spoke to Rinn before this. I only saw Alya in Theria when it was presented." He would clarify, before the sudden movements of Del. As their cosmic power circled them, and they moved towards Regulus, very, very briefly, he considers stepping into it.
  595.
  596. And equally briefly, he remembers who is wearing the remote to the collar around his neck.
  597.
  598. "I am not quick to lose Faith. I look into information, and I read into the truth as much as possible. If I believe something to be false, I act on it, but I do not proclaim myself as something higher then others. I do not think others stains upon the earth."
  599.
  600. "I am disappointed with you, Del."
  601.
  602. A shake of his head, yet all the same, he doesn't take up the initial intervention. Instead, his hand raises, pulling Ophelia off towards the side to prevent her from being pulled into the fight.
  603. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  604. [02:14] Finley stepped in the way of Regulus, perhaps faster than Asta?
  605. (Finley)
  606. [02:22] The former nobleman finds himself set upon. So much for diplomatic hospitality, and what not, although given how this whole war started he probably shouldn't be surprised.
  607.
  608. He dives out of the way of the first strike, rolling back onto his feet and producing Peacemaker, his revolver. He wasn't exactly going to set it on stun, not even having a chance to do so. Instead, he flexed his mana, yanking the nearby shadows to wrap around him. This was likely to be unpleasant.
  609.
  610. As an aside, the runs on his hand began to glow. Pre-preparing.
  611.
  612. If Del continued to come on, he'd fight back. No words necessary.
  613. (Regulus orn Grimmore)
  614. [02:27] Sythaeryn Vartuul says, "I'll take those back."
  615. [02:28] Ophelia cos Montclaire says, "..... I seemed to have dropped my bracelet."
  616. [02:28] Finley says, ". . ."
  617. [02:28] She bent down, reclipping the thing back onto her ankle before rising back up, coughing.
  618. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  619. [02:35] Anger had never been present more than now. For him, for Asta, for Finley, for Romani, for Ophelia. It's a seething burn, one that they wished to first take on the most foolish of them all.
  620.
  621. This Grimmore, one so, so, so stuck in his folly. He was the first to reap upon the foul fruits Asta bore. Eating the lies, tasting the venom.
  622.
  623. "Not another word from you."
  624.
  625. His body burns from their flames as the Arch Priest had ascended upwards to lash upon him a wave of unforgiving, judging fire.
  626.
  627. "Not from a man whose spine does not exist. You were born without one."
  628.
  629. The air above him crackled as they're blinded, sight removed yet they feel him. Pelted by shadows yet forward they move, towards him.
  630.
  631. "I will not rest until the souls of traitors and dead men return to the Stars. Cleansing and judgement from the heavens is all that's left for you."
  632.
  633. A bolt of concentrated holy energy struck against his body- Leaving him trembling. Can he feel it? The faith he lacked in his people that he gave himself up willing for a demon?
  634.
  635. He's left now, beaten, scorching sights fall to the others. The spineless Montclaires, the demoness herself, her henchman.
  636.
  637. "A Teraphim rule baffles me! You think your people who exist as a mere dot upon the lifetime of all of creation deserve rule? Where were you just a century ago?"
  638.
  639. "Hm?"
  640.
  641. Who next? Their blood burned so much, pumping through their body a confidence only the Stars could bestow, a passion, too. Above them- Ios and Biblos, and on the earth, they who embody what they will.
  642.
  643. Yet- Their body can handle so much. A grin seethed on their features. Enacting this for their beloved faith.
  644.
  645. Bliss, truly.
  646.
  647. One befitting to be a Speaker of the Stars.
  648. (Del mer Joyau)
  649. [02:41] Beaten down.
  650.
  651. Again.
  652.
  653. Didn't lose a hand at least, this time.
  654.
  655. By the end of it he's been driven to his knees, stewing in impotent rage that was less than well concealed.
  656.
  657. No spine? As if he'd not stood against Alexander Petrakis, one of the most politically powerful people in Esshar because he was wrong.
  658.
  659. But no, too often people prided themselves on violence. He's succumbed to the urge, a few times, but he preferred to duel through his words; he was no fighter.
  660.
  661. He's silent for now, save for words spoken softly enough they were likely unheard by anyone around him.
  662.
  663. "Better to be a reed bending in the wind than a straight stick, broken by it."
  664.
  665. A phrase once used by one of his instructors at the academy.
  666. (Regulus orn Grimmore)
  667. [02:41] Perhaps she had missed Del's earlier bursts of anger, but she had only truly noticed a change after she had imbibed that potion. But now? Now Ophelia watched the Arch-Priest batter Regulus to and fro, cosmic energies radiating from their form in a brilliant display of power.
  668.
  669. There's very little to say in that moment, as Regulus was left beaten. She knew at this point Asta would step in. Ophelia didn't need to lift a single finger. But Del's statement still leaves her with a shaking head.
  670.
  671. "I'm not a traitor, Del." She said at once, firm. "I never was, and I never will be..." Her next words may just get Asta, Regulus and Finley's eyes upon her but she does not back down. She does not cower. "I'm still in Alexander's corner. I'm the one who told him to stand strong, in a letter I sent him."
  672.
  673. She was the reason why he had found out about Asta's little slip up in revealing theplans of domination across Esshar. She was perhaps the reason why he chose to remain upon the throne.
  674.
  675. Because loyalty to the crown was what she lived and breathed, even if she had been let go. She refused to let others paint her in such a negative light. Not anymore, at the very least.
  676. (Ophelia cos Montclaire)
  677. [02:41] This was expected to a degree, wasn't it?
  678.
  679. For as much as the presence of Del warranted that this would be a hostile encounter, truthfully, there's a little too much to sort out with Myllenoris regardless.. and he knows that this isn't something that can be sorted out in a single meeting.
  680.
  681. If at all.
  682.
  683. So while the Rhoynish watches the exchange within the battle, what he doesn't find surprising at all is to find Regulus defeated; for while Del wasn't exactly made for battle either, the ex-noble was less practiced.. and with such outcome, his gaze diverts towards Asta and her entourage.
  684.
  685. "Perhaps it's best if you decide to visit later."
  686.
  687. Or maybe, that's just his attempts to postpone it.. for truthfully, not only it was a rather long and tiresome day, but he imagines this could turn very poorly, very soon.
  688.
  689. "Provided you're willing to even push this discussion any further."
  690. (Basil)
  691. [02:43] Finley sighed as Regulus was suddenly bolted back before the Mistseer could act. With the crazed cosmic Arch Priest now battling against Myllenoris' Lord Chancellor, the crippled Teraphim let his hand rest upon the butt of his revolver, though not to draw quite yet.
  692.
  693. By the look on his face, the fight was the last thing he wanted, and given Regulus was defeated but left free from Del's grasp, he only turned back to the rest of Alabastre.
  694.
  695. "Should we just plan to have this discussion another time? This is descending into madness." And it was all entirely unproductive, at least so long as things would continue to boil over into combat.
  696.
  697. Basil had the same idea, and Finley gave the Rhoynish a nod. "If you could keep that one from doing something regrettable, we'll be on our way..." He quickly said, hoping Asta wasn't about to also do something
  698.
  699. regrettable.
  700. (Finley)
  701. [02:44] There was a small shake of Romani's head, watching it all go down. Watching as Del would attack Regulus. Mentally, that picture of Del cracked in his mind, the same way that his own likely had for the priest. The pictures of them fishing together, of praying together, of Del and Romani having discovered that they shared the same star.
  702.
  703. All shattered, broken.
  704.
  705. A shake of his head.
  706.
  707. "I can not voice how disappointed I am in you, Del." Romani would say, sighing as he watched them take to the sky. "You were one I trusted, the one that I named the Arch-priest. I did not think you would fall to madness, fall to lies, or deceit. But at the same time, I know not if I could have done anything different."
  708.
  709. Regulus used shadows to fight, and the burns looked to have rapidly assaulted the former nobleman. And yet, while the remote is held by them, for what he knew..
  710.
  711. "I do not believe in a world ruled over by Teraphim. Nor do I believe in a world where we have any ruler but the stars and angels. All the same, I want to bring a peaceful world. And you seem to be the one clamoring for blood this time."
  712.
  713. Holy light would come from Romani, adopting a combative stance. "So if you desire to hurt others, or you do not see the wish for peace in the world, then come at me, and I will correct you. Otherwise you are entirely dismissed by me."
  714. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  715. [02:45] Asta was too late to save Regulus from the quick, swift beating that was handed to him by Del. Nothing to be done but begin to ready her own magics, powering up, ready to take on the world if it meant keeping Regulus safe.
  716.
  717. Fortunately, he does survive the onslaught with only superficial injuries.
  718.
  719. But it's evident in the High Lady's face. She is infuriated.
  720.
  721. "... So you've had your fun with my husband," she calls out. As she steps forward, the world around her begins to contort.
  722.
  723. The Crown of Aschea atop her head glimmers with incredible power. The jewel brightens. If anyone looks straight into it, they'll begin to hear angered whispers projected directly into their mind. Crying out with the rage that the High Lady felt.
  724.
  725. Her bow was already readied in her hands.
  726.
  727. "My husband, who is a diplomat first and fighter second. Little priest... you don't understand the magnitude of the error you've just committed. I did warn you."
  728.
  729. Her eyes narrow into a glare.
  730.
  731. The voices of the unseen world cry out in a cacophony of rage. All different voices. They came from every nearby tree. Every individual blade of grass. Every root, every tuber, every colony of moss. It was deafening, yet it wasn't a real sound. It was all in their heads.
  732.
  733. YOU HAVE ATTACKED THE WRONG PERSON.
  734.
  735. A field of ruby particles dance around the High Lady, and the earth begins to contort.
  736.
  737. She seems ready to attack Del-- but, something happens. She looks back at Regulus, and her power begins to dwindle. Slow down.
  738.
  739. The world around her seems to breathe a sigh of relief, as the power that sucked in the very fabric of the natural world is released. Briefly.
  740.
  741. "... Del," she says calmly.
  742.
  743. "You and your husband together could not stop me, if I chose to end you now. I don't reckon all of you combined could stop me. You will never do that again, or I will tear apart the world to destroy you. Just you."
  744.
  745. She lowers her bow.
  746.
  747. "Your final warning. Your only warning," she says.
  748.
  749. "If our paths cross again, and you are without the protection of Alabastre, you will regret it."
  750.
  751. She turns around, toward her party.
  752.
  753. "We are done here. Give them the paper, and we'll be on our way."
  754. (Asta Hargrave)
  755. [02:50] These threats are something that he found rather..
  756.
  757. ..insulting. And it's not because of her frustrations with Del and Owyn over here, but because of the fact that she seems almost far too prideful all over again. The fact that they could not stop her, should she choose to engage..
  758.
  759. "You mistake us for Osrona, Asta."
  760.
  761. "We have something you'll never have - a family that doesn't stab you in the back, and that gives us strength you can never attain, no matter how far you go."
  762.
  763. Her son Mikael, her people turning upon her, it's all too evident. And yet, there's a personal warning.
  764.
  765. "And careful now.."
  766.
  767. "Last I recall, a Rhoynish teenager on the bridge was almost able to take you down."
  768.
  769. "Do not think he hasn't grown ever since."
  770.
  771. He has no doubt that she's grown in power as well, but there's only one way to truly tell which one would come out victorious. The warning serves its purpose, but with that said..
  772.
  773. "Do keep in mind that Alabastre does not forget its family, nor it forgives those that take from it." And even though one might argue with the case of madness of peculiar woman..
  774.
  775. One does not know what storms might be brewing.
  776.
  777. "Goodbye."
  778. (Basil)
  779. [02:53] Regulus was taken care of rather easily, and Del was not even finished. She was prepared to deal with more of them, and at this point, nobody could stop her.
  780.
  781. Even with Asta feeling that rage build up in her stomach, to watch what she loved thrown aside so easily. It was funny, Nox even laughs audible for them all to hear. "Haha! That was interesting." Even if she could call upon the spirits, and bring their voices to life? Nox didn't seem too bothered, smiling on the sidelines.
  782.
  783. "Romani speaks so boldly about his faith, but he seemed to be convinced rather easily!" Could Del beat him though? Maybe if she played her cards right, but the same could be said for Romani.
  784.
  785. "I guess somethings are ignored and dismissed, but I guess it's no surprise people pick and choose... Turning their backs on what they protected, undermining their faith for another over simple words." As much as people run with their words, they feaston those that leave someone of power's mouth.
  786.
  787. Would this continue, or end here? Basil was content on letting them go, but it wasn't like Del spoke or acted for Alabastre. So if she were to lash out again and stop them from leaving?
  788.
  789. "Probably not wise to leave with your back to her, she seems rather focused on her cause."
  790. (Nox)
  791. [02:53] Ophelia cos Montclaire whispers to Romani cos Montclaire: romani im in danger execute order 66
  792. [02:55] It's done, he's finished but he should be dragged by his hair all the way to Osrona and thrown before his King to await judgement for his years of foolishness.
  793.
  794. "Shut. Your. Mouth." They hissed at Romani. "I don't want to hear anything from you when the woman you stand at the side of wants to destroy our home. And those 'jests' and 'scare tactics' taken lightly."
  795.
  796. "The Stars and Angels chose the Petrakis family. That is what you believe in, the Petrakis family or are you thinking differently when your soul is corroding?"
  797.
  798. Those screams. Foul. All of them. Yet they are no match for the whimsical melody within their own head. The Stars gentle whispers. Ignored, all of this from that evil crown, for a more gentle symphony.
  799.
  800. "You don't leave your foul forest kingdom. This is my home- These are a people. Osrona is my home, they are my people."
  801.
  802. "I will revel in your face when it's in the dir, your body thrown at my King, your tyranny over." She walks because she's confident. Oh-so very. When she's torn down, body pelted with the might of the heavens will Esshar know true peace.
  803.
  804. "If you think there is any peace with siding with her, Romani, when she wants us dead..."
  805.
  806. "The Stars will show you the same mercy as they will her."
  807. (Del mer Joyau)
  808. [02:56] And now they attempted to leave. There wasn't a single thing to take away from this besides the fact that they were so confident in their might that they would willingly push themselves into this area.
  809.
  810. Were it not for the fact that they were within Alabastre?
  811.
  812. A city of neutrality, yet one they hope to keep on their side. A side that has dwindling numbers, numbers that would continue to dwindle regardless of what they want to hold true. Asta, alone, is nothing but a single combatant who can, and likely will be brought down.
  813.
  814. But they know this, and they choose their battles. They pick them well for they have an extreme distaste in the art of defeat. Is that not why they cower so in the wake of Sythaeryn?
  815.
  816. "You're so very bold to spout such words in the face of people you so desperately want to keep in your corner. Is it because the tides are shifting?"
  817.
  818. Because defeat, the matchless taste on the tongue of those who understand it--now apart of Asta, The Undefeated's tastebuds, can bring any person down and humble them. One night is all it took for this sort to understand this.
  819.
  820. Owyn retrieves his wife, his universe, and brings them away, kicking and screaming if he has to. Yet his gaze is not intimidated, he does not cower. He stares upon them as he always has.
  821.
  822. Something, someone that can be toppled.
  823.
  824. "I've told you. I'm no Alexander, we aren't Osrona, and you certainly are ahead of yourself with your bold claims."
  825.
  826. "You've made the most grave of mistakes." As he says it, his own fire begins to glow, illuminated by the swath of emotions that overcome him. Pride, affection, love, anger. All passionate things that thrive within this particular vessel specifically.
  827.
  828. And from them derive wings of fire that blossom and bloom with a beautiful vision of chaos, erupting like a splitting pair of jaws on either side of a predator, threatening to swallow those it closes around.
  829.
  830. He is the Sun. He will consume all that grow too close. It just so happens that loved ones and friends burn at a slower rate.
  831.
  832. "To threaten that which is closest to my heart beyond even my family. I'll whittle you down, bit by bit, until all that is left is the exposed and fearful little snake that you are. You'll wake up to find it all gone, this, I promise to you should you step out of your place."
  833.
  834. Not Diamonds nor bloodstones, nor Obsidian nor nature itself would protect Asta from this burning star.
  835.
  836. Owyn's eyes close.
  837.
  838. "Off with you."
  839. (Owyn)
  840. [03:00] Finley actually rolled his eyes.
  841.
  842. "This posturing is embarrassing everyone who's a part of it. Let's leave." The Teraphim shot a look to Asta, and then to Romani. "Let Alabastre have its peace tonight. There's no sense in this."
  843.
  844. He was already taking steps away, already intent to open up his own Wayfinding portal and drag whoever he could grab through it.
  845.
  846. Ethereal bands of spiritual energy coiled around his arm, but he didn't summon the gate yet, not before looking over his shoulder to ensure the little entourage he'd come with was actually going to follow.
  847. (Finley)
  848. [03:00] Nothing like seeing a good ole fashion fight. The church man was giving a slobber knocker to the man. With a cha-cha slide he would sweep the victory. By the great heavens that man has a family dammit!
  849.
  850. "Woo that was something intense."
  851. (Dax)
  852. [03:00] Nox says, "You say that like you could disrupt it, Finley."
  853. [03:01] Tiernay Reveille says, "Hmn, hmn..."
  854. [03:01] Finley says, "The peace? I'd never intend to."
  855. [03:01] Nox asks, "Ah... Be careful with your words, hm?"
  856. [03:01] Nox says, "Don't want to make anyone angry."
  857. [03:01] Urizen Lee says, "Little too late for that."
  858. [03:01] Finley says, "I don't know how to tell you this, but they're already angry."
  859. [03:01] Tiernay Reveille says, "Shut up."
  860. [03:01] Nox says, "Not yet... But they are getting there."
  861. [03:02] Asta clasps her hands together and settles down. She appears to largely ignore the posturing done by the married couple, and the other bystanders. She directs her attention briefly to Basil and tips her head.
  862.
  863. "We are friends, Basil. We have no quarrel, so long as you stay out of the war and help us build an Esshar that can establish a unity of independent kingdoms.
  864.
  865. You will keep that in mind, as you harbor people who proclaim themselves my enemies.
  866.
  867. Keep them in check."
  868.
  869. She steps closer to Regulus and examines him for a moment. She could feel that he wasn't too badly hurt, but still.
  870.
  871. "Get us out of here," she says simply, at either Regulus or Finley.
  872.
  873. "We'll only return once the war against Osrona is won, when it is time to further hash out the details of the post-war union. If they want to be part of the Coalition, then they'll come to us and Theria as we discuss and debate the details."
  874.
  875.
  876. As the others continue to squabble, she holds her head and sighs.
  877.
  878. "Like children..." she murmurs.
  879. (Asta Hargrave)
  880. [03:02] Finley sighs and pinches the bridge of his nose.
  881. (Finley)
  882. [03:04] "I do not take them lightly. I judge, and will continue to judge her actions. 'Stand at their side', I am forced into an anti-magic collar, stripped of my titles, and abandoned in Myllenoris. I do not stand by her side as an ally, but I do wish for peace and calm. I do see a world where Orsona is able to maintain itself as the document says."
  883.
  884. "I want to see for myself what is truth, and what is lie. That is the reason that I am here. Unlike you, Del, who seems to have dissolved into pride. Those 'scare tactics' and 'jests' are just as bad as lies and ignorance." He would shake his head, letting out and agrivated sigh. His focus on Del. "My soul is not corroding. But it feels like yours is with all this zealotry."
  885.
  886. A shake of Romani's head, turning away, turning around as Del walks away. His eyes catch Nox in the corner. "I am convinced of the stars. And I am convinced of what I see, and hear, such as my abandonment, and lies." A sigh, shaking his head and beginning to walk south, for now to follow the group that was leaving.
  887. (Romani cos Montclaire)
  888.
  889. [03:04] Del mer Joyau says in telepathy, Your soul sickens me. Go and 'judge'.
