  1. Cesaire was born to totally normal, if kinda busy parents! I really didnt want to make another character that came from a shattered home :(.
  2.
  3. Cesaire and his family lived near the swamp, and had a family tradition of peat miningggg! Naturally curious even from a young age, Cesaire had worried his parents due to his tendency to explore the bogs and swamps surrounding his home, which were filled with all sorts of nasties and dangerous pitfalls and the rather distinct possibility of getting stuck in a bog somewhere and being found 2000 years later as a perfectly preserved corpse. Cesaire managed to avoid most of these dangers, fortunately, and lived out his childhood perfectly normally.

  5. Except for one thing.
  6. Cesaire liked snakes. Like, really liked snakes. Like, holy shit. The first time he saw a snake he fell in love with all manner of serpents almost immediately, and had tried to pick it up and take it home! And received a rather vicious bite directly to the neck for his troubles. Narrowly missing the jugular and fortunately from a nonvenomous snake, Cesaire hadn't suffered any ill effects, and had simply become determined to learn how to train snakes and handle them safely.

  13. Cesaire stands at 5'10. Lithely built and pale, Cesaire is a bit odd looking without his mask on. His cheeks are naturally gaunt and his eyes are permanently ringed with black, giving the appearance of bruises, Most strikingly of all are his three scars - a greyish burn scar on his right jaw, a large indented line in the bridge of his nose that is basically entirely missing skin and scar tissue, and two large holes set just apart from each other on his neck, on either side of his jugular vein. He's not completely freakish looking despite this, though. Opening his mouth ruins whatever normalcy remains, revealing tattoos carpeting the flesh on the inside of his cheeks, roof of mouth, large portions of his tongue and even some on the back of his throat.

  15. Similarly, much of Cesaire's body is tattooed. Two snakes wind up each leg, ending shortly above his waist with the heads facing each other, tongues out. A large ouroboros consumes itself in the centre of his torso, whilst a long and large snake winds it's way from the bottom of his left wrist to the back of his right. The symbol for the venom aspect of essentia covers his entire back!
  16. Among the scales of the snakes are relevant catalysts needed for Cesaire's magics, and the catalyst for essentia storage sits in the middle of the ouroboros on his chest.
