Imagine, if you will, waking up one day and having millions of years of memories shoved into your head.

Other lives by the dozens. Endless wars in the heavens and on a thousand thousand worlds. Slaughtering armies of demons single-handedly. Lifting up governments and whole species, sabotaging or annihilating others. More strange things. Consuming entire worlds. The secrets of the universe at my fingertips, through science, through magic. It takes a surprisingly short time to adapt, opening my eyes, seeing the world completely differently. Expanded senses. Even a sense of the flow of time, able to follow it forward and backward.

It's not difficult to see what's wrong with the world through this new perspective; it may not be a short journey, but it begins with a single step out the door of my cabin and toward glory. And so I set myself to the task ahead of me, donning a suit of familiar armor. The forests were dark and full of danger. At the end of the long road would be Maleficent, but to get there I would have to fight my way through two kingdoms locked into a state of forced coma and their landscapes transformed into a purely apocalyptic scene. One kingdom's prince trapped in an eternal nightmare, the other kingdom's princess in a perpetual dream. Within Maleficent's stronghold, a trio of fae locked in cages of cold iron, tormented.

Between them and myself, twisted monsters infused with a demonic taint. They were rage. Brutal. Without mercy.

But I? I was worse.
