- I have one of DomainAutority:6 that I got for free... but investigating a little more I have found some of DomainAutority around 20, even 26 for about 300USD.
- The domains I'm looking for are related to the theme, a more or less specific theme.
- I'd still have to investigate the link profile better in depth, but it looks good.
- What do you think? It is worth buying a domain like this for about 300USD, or it is better to stay with that domain of DA:6 and invest those 300 USD in buying links ...
- Be careful about backlinks. Higher DA could be worth it... COULD.
- If you have that budget go for lower DA and build fresh quality backlinks.
- Use the free domain and spend the money on a bunch of articles if you have good keywords, if not use the money on easy keywords/articles. Make sure to interlink them properly.
- Take a look at the wayback machine or cached versions (if any) on Google to see what kind of websites were previously on that domain.
- Also, verify you don’t have many low DA/spammy backlinks to that domain.
- Then, if the price fits your budget and the previous website and domain are related to the website you plan on hosting there, it might be a good fit and slightly easier to rank on Google.
- This is much more complex than a mater of DA and price.
- For example, recently I bought a domain in a niche (self-help) which had mediocre stats. But there was a psychologist bidding for it so I decided to put my bid down. In the end for some reason he also decided to stop and I got it.
- But thinking on this, I'm sure that I could have bought it in a different niche with the same metrics, for the half.
- It is important the niche? Not really if you are going to do a PBN. I was planning to buld a MS on top of it, so it was worth for me, writing (and using) the content it had before.
- This is just a simple example to know that valuation is not just the DA or the TF. ?
- I've bough DA > 40 for $15... but after a deeper analysis I've found they were a mistake. Other times they were fine, and it was just luck that none bid.
- This remind me the second hand car bidding business I had some years ago :p Shit cars selling like mad, and some adequate cars, being forgiven by everyone. And some people that just bid on things that others bid, because they think that "if someone is bidding for something it might be good".
- I would see if @Nargil has a better expired domain for $300. It's gross what other sellers are pricing their crappy expired domains at.
