Sick Day (Penny Fluff)

You are A-a-ACHOO!

...Whatever, you know the drill by this point. You're also feeling pretty under the weather.

Fever, coughing, runny nose, etc...

You lay in your bed, looking at the ceiling fan go round, and round. Despite their protest, you told your team mates to go to their classes. No sense in them falling behind just cause you were a little sick, so you're here in your dorm room all alone.

The silence is broken when you here someone knocking at the door. You get out of bed and walk over to the door, wondering who it could be. You open the door, and immediately get pulled into a bear hug.

“SAL-U-TATIONS Anon!”

It's Penny.

You started dating a few months ago, after you heroically protected her from Cardin and his team...okay she helped a little...okay she was the one who actually scared them off. But hey it's the thought that counts.

“P-Penny,” You cough, “not so rough.”

Oh yeah, and she's a robot too. Or Android...cyborg...whatever.

“Oh,” Penny exclaims, “I am sorry Anon. But I ran into your team earlier and they told me that you are feeling sick, so I wanted to come by and see you.”

“...Penny.”

“Yes Anon?”

“Is that why you're in a sexy nurses outfit?”

You couldn't tell if you were flustered from your fever or from her outfit.

“O-Oh my,” her face flushes red, “Sexy?”

You still weren't sure how a robot was able to blush, but you still think it's cute when she does. You pull her inside and shut the door before anyone can come by and gawk at her. She's YOUR sexy nurse after all.

“Your friends just told me that you would like it, and that it would be a good idea to wear it if I am taking care of you.”

“Yeah, I bet they di-wait,” you stop in your tracks, “What do you mean 'take care of me?'”

You eye her outfit up and down again. Her small skirt giving a nice view of her long, smooth legs, her top with buttons left open giving you a good view of...well...okay she doesn't have much of a chest, but whatever. It's still hot.

“What do they think I have? E.D?”

“What is E.D?” Penny asks.

“Not important,” you tell her immediately, “Look Penny, It was really sweet of you to come over and check on me, but I don't really know what you can do to help...you should um...keep the costume though. Maybe save it for date night?”

“If you'd like,” She smiles at you.

Ah, so innocent. You can't help but love her naivety. You walk back over to your bed and sit on it, with Penny joining you.

“Anon?”

“Yeah Penny?”

“What is it like to feel sick?” She asks, looking at you with that curious expression she has anytime you have to explain a 'human problem' to her.

“What do you mean?”

“Does it hurt,” She looks at you, her expression now one of concern.

“No,” You smile at her, “At least not in my case. I've just got a bit of a cold, so it's not that big a deal.”

Penny simply sits there, a look of concern for you still clear on her face. You smile again, touched by how much she cares about you.

“Look Penny, you know how computers can some times get viruses on them?”

“Oh yes,” She nods her head sternly, “It can ruin everything when it gets one.”

“Well it's kind of like that for humans too. We get sick with a virus, and like files on a computer getting corrupted, our organs and immune system can get corrupted too.”

Her look of worry as back, and you wave your hand to dissuade her.

“And just like how a computer can be used to transfer a virus from one system to another, humans can transfer a virus from one person to the next. But it's not always a big deal. Just like how you can clean off a computer and re-boot to make it work again, humans just need to take medicine and get plenty of rest, and we can be fixed to. In fact when humans have a fever, kind of like I do, that's actually result of our bodies trying to sweat out the infection. Like it's purging the virus from our system.”

“Ooooh,” Penny's eyes grow wide in amazement.

“That's why we have to make sure we drink plenty of water when we get sick, that way we can replenish the fluids that we sweat out, so we don't get dehydrated.”

Penny immediately hops up from the bed and storms out of the dorm room, leaving you sitting there dumbstruck.

“P-Penny?”

A few minutes later, Penny shows up again, carrying five...no six crates of bottled water. She sets them down and takes one out, handing it to you with a large grin on her face.

“Here Anon, drink this.”

You sit there in awe of what just transpired, and then start to laugh.

“A-Anon?”

You take the water from her and smile.

“That's a little excessive,” You say, looking at all the water, “but it's nice to know how much you care.”

After you say that, Penny wraps her arms around you, nuzzling against your neck. Normally you'd tell someone to keep their distance so they didn't catch anything from you, but you're fairly certain Penny can't catch something like the cold, so you hug her back tightly.

“Hey Penny,” A thought occurs to you, “where did you get all that water anyways?”

“...Borrowed it. 'hiccup'”

“Penny...” you cock your eyebrow.

“I was going to give it back 'hiccup'”

“Penny please, where did you get the water from?”

“...The cafeteria has plenty of crates though,” she tells you, suddenly becoming very interested in the floor, “you're sick and need it.

“Penny,” you chuckle, “I appreciate the gesture, but you can't just go around taking stuff because someone else 'needs' it more.”

Penny just continues to look at the floor, and you wrap your arm around her shoulder, pulling her against your chest.

“Hey, no biggie. We'll just take 'em back and tell them it was a misunderstanding. No big deal.”

No sooner than you finish, Penny is already up and has all the crates loaded back in her arms and is out the door. A few minutes more, and Penny is back in the room. Her hands behind her back.

“You kept one. Didn't You?”

“No. 'hiccup'”

“...”

She pulls out the bottle of water and fiddles with it in her hands.

“Just in case,” she shrugs her shoulders.

If nothing else, Penny will always be able to get a smile out of you. You get up and walk over to her, wrapping your arms around her waist.

“Come here you,” You say.

You lean in and give her a small kiss, and she wraps her arms around your neck, standing on her tip toes to reach you better.

“Told you he'd like it.”

You quickly break the kiss and turn to see your team standing in the door way.

“Now pay up.”

“Up yours, they're both still dressed.”

“You guys...” You clench your fist and shake it at your team mates, “Why you gotta go and ruin the moment like that!”

“Uh-oh, the boss is pissed,”

“CHEESE IT!”

Your team takes off running out of the room, with you slamming the door behind them.

“Buncha jack asses.”

You hear Penny giggle behind you and she walks up, wrapping her arms around your waist and resting her head against your back. You take her hand in yours, rubbing it softly.

“I guess I can't be to hard on 'em, since they sent you my way.”

“In my sexy nurse outfit.”

You both start laughing, and you turn around, still wrapped in her arms, and caress her cheek.

“Thanks for coming to see me today,” you tell her, giving her a small kiss, “I love you.”

You can feel her grip on you tighten, as she tries to hold you closer to herself.

“I love you too Anon.”

“You're still keeping the outfit right?”

She giggles

“I'll keep it just for you Anon.”
