Steps echoing through the caves led him behind Yohuali. Approaching her from behind with both his hands shoved into his pockets the young Aertas spoke up.

"Your people have decided it would be most proper to tax our citizens for using the mines. It is not the Empire you should blame for what will come next, but the chieftess who kept her claim upon these parts even in defeat."

He definitely knew how to be forward.

[22:10] The young woman would slowly raise her blade. Seeing the member of Achyron before her. No breath would be wasted as she side eyed her opponent. slowly waiting for the attempt. Though he decided. Otherwise.

"I wonder how these machine slavers struggle for life."

She stated. Attempting to slice through the young man at once. Her hunters eyes piercing her opponent with glares of daggers and anger. Any of these enemies ready to see how truly destructive the woman from Moxtli truly was.

They both despised each other. One for stealing the resources that were rightfully theirs. And the other from taxation and the empire that resides from within.

[22:12] While Bruno had expected a few more words to be exchanged, he definitely did not predict the sudden aggressive approach by Yohuali. Normally people would beg, demand, and try to negotiate when brought in a sticky situation but this?

The Aertas drew his weapon swiftly, unleashing a barrage of shots towards the feral one.

[22:25] Where aggressivity from the feral one was the first thing that reared its ugly head, Bruno was left backpedalling for most of the battle's early moments, barely even able to reach for his weapon until halfway through the encounter. From that point on, however, things ran smoothly for the young soldier. His ability to manipulate lightning was unparalleled amongst his peers, serving him well when it came to gaining the upperhand over Yohuali.

It was a shame his younger sister was not here to witness it.

With his railgun firmly held in his grasp the Aertas drew a great distance between himself and his opponent, letting one eye fall shut while the other adjusted his mark. His trigger finger pulled, launching forth a small metallic bullet. It struck the beastwoman's chest directly, daring not to pierce it and instead deploying itself to conduct a massive charge of electricity within her body - a shocking bolt that would scorch her skin all across her body lightly,singeing it at the impact point. A few strands of hair here and there may burn, but Yohuali was firmly and clearly out of commission.

Bruno let out a small breath, looking down towards the defenseless woman before peering over to Luca.

"I believe this is mission accomplished, Don."

[22:26] The young nagual would fight onwards. With the damage of the lightning going against her. The Blade Attempting to slice against the opponent that she was facing. Pushing every single influence that she had left... Only for nothing to come into fruition.

The moment she needed the power most. She couldn't grasp it. The fight for power. The struggle. She was the result of it. She wasn't going to let them slide anything they wanted. And so she fought all she could against the lightning user.

And yet. Ixchel fell sour, as now she was at the complete mercy of the group that befeled them. She would try her best to even get up, but alas. Nothing... A railgun shot was struck against her chest. And there she was...

[22:27] With a spring in her step and a small pouch of clinking coins in hand, the bright-spirited Lapine wanders forth from the greater depths of the mines. She hums a cheery tune to herself and subtly illuminated amber eyes remain set dead ahead where, in time, she happens upon a commotion.

It'd come a whole lot sooner than she'd anticipated.

Due to the sheer number of lights, Shining Sparkle picks up her pace to close in on the transpiring scene. She skids to a stop right in time to witness the conclusion of a fight characterized by numerous frightful bursts of electricity.

"Whoa..." It was no time to be mesmerized.

She shakes her head and frowns, her pouch of coins stowed in place of the staff she pulls out. What she saw immediately was incredibly concerning.

Yohuali down surrounded by enemies, Ryker and Luca recognized among them. Not a single ally in sight.

"Hey, leave Yohuali alone! Step way, way away from her or else!"

His commanding voice guides the youngest Docro to the obvious - no need to gesture towards the whitish bunny.

A shimmering sword sways with every bodily movement. Clean boots become intensively messed with mud as the towering Docro approaches Yohuali.

Vendetta.

Labiums leisurely part, juxtaposing his cigarette between the index and middle finger.

Luca wasn't born a Don. He was an Underboss, a Capo and even a Soldier. This figure is acquainted with getting his hands dirty for the family.

Sometimes, nothing beats your own job. And threatening others is a specialty.

But he had to wait for Shining's fate, thus, eyeing Ryker.

[22:34] Ryker watched Bruno excel during his fight, the younger Docro patiently quiet as their mission was accomplished just like that. Then... Shining Sparkle. He heard his Uncle's voice, knowing immediately what he desired.

Her presence, where ordinarily would bring a smile to Ryker's young face was only met with a frown this time instead. Jade gaze shifted to the Lapine as he marched closer to her, a hand being risen in response to her words.

"No." Ryker said at once, a serious expression overcoming his mien as he stared at the girl who he had made promise that she'd remain safe... If only due to her amazing ability to collect. Yet now, they stood at the opposite ends of the spectrum. "We're dealing with this as we need to."

An index finger presses itself against his lips, the Docro leaning forward with the same sultry smile he had presented to her just the night before.

"... My dear, sweet, Shining Sparkle. This doesn't concern you.."

[22:36] Arken merely watched on, not wanting his name on this, but prepared to step in if any more beastkin arrive to enforce their hold of the mine.
Ryker seemed to have this handled. Or so he hoped.

[22:41] It was always her first instinct to smile, laugh, and put on a show, yet this was an occasion that forced her to be entirely serious. The pink-haired Kitsune earns her attention in his approach and she swivels to face him, alert and ready.

"Sorry, Ryker! I can't abandon Yohuali in her time of need. You know what it's like, don't you? Unwavering loyalty! If I didn't have it, I'd really be no better than an animal."

Her grip on the staff tightens as examines him more closely now. Though he presented himself with kindness, she acknowledged the predatory air about him.

The expression she wore was nothing short of defiant and wholly resolute as a result.

"A real rabbit would probably run and hide right about now, but if you plan on taking her from me? You'll have to do it the hard way!"

It was unfortunate that they had to clash so soon, yet nevertheless with a lashing whip of water she'd push ahead without restraint.

[22:42] While Ryker moved behind him the young Aertas' eyes shifted towads Luca. A few silent whispers were given his way, more concerned with their prize than the clash behind them.

[22:47] He didn't fault Shining one bit for her desire to stand up for someone from her tribe. Ryker would have done the same; had done the same precisely when he fought against Chimalli for his Uncle's sake. There was no judgement in his gaze, even as Shining presented herself as a clear and present threat to their goals.

"Ah. Ripping my heart to pieces, Shining." Ryker muttered, much as he had in jest earlier in the day. Only these words held a bit more weight and heft to them. Did he consider her a friend? Perhaps. It was hard to say, especially considering she didn't gather things for him, but that was neither here nor there at the present time.

As that water lashed out, Ryker's teeth ground together, annoyance rising upon his visage swiftly. After battling against Chimalli, he was sick and tired of water.

"No no no." He said, his sword lashing out with the flat of the blade to block the Lapine's path. "I don't believe so, Shining. You'll have to do it the hard way.."

[22:51] Ryker pyr Docro says, "You know...."
[22:51] Ryker pyr Docro exclaims, "I typically don't hit women. Just know that you're making me do this!"
[22:51] Luca pyr Docro says, "Don't worry - you'll learn with time."
[23:07] His Uncle told him he'd get used to it, to hitting women. Thus far, Ryker hadn't needed to hit a single woman. Matryona didn't count given it was a tournament and it only made sense that they'd eventually fight, naturally.

But Shining? Never.

The grip upon his blade tightened, knuckles turning white from the stressful implications of such an ordeal. But his loyalties laid clear, abundantly so. As the lashing water whip collided against Ryker, the annoyance manifest into anger quickly as he was reminded too quickly of his fight against Chimalli and how it had resulted in him being soaked head to toe. He had won that fight, yes, but it was annoying nevertheless.

"I'll... Get used to it." He muttered, the Docro moving swiftly through the cave's dirt floor in order to dance around the Lapine's side. The whacks from the flat of his blade quickly morphed into something far more dangerous as his anger rose and rose. "I'll get used to it. I'll get used to it." It was a mantra to push him through actually performing this deed against someone he considered a friend. And in the end, she was the one who broke the straw.

As the sand condensed around him and stopped his movements like an infernal jailor, there was a stillness from Ryker's immobilized form. Then all at once, fire erupted and leaked from that sandy prison, the Docro screaming as the fine particles practically exploded around him, resulting in shards of glass flying every which way.

And the resulting opponent was not one someone wanted to mess with. His movements were cleaner, his footwork pristine, and his blade? There was a hungering strength laced behind each and every swing. Instead of the flat of the blade hitting her with brunt whacks, it was now deep and painful cuts as Ryker no longer saw a woman who he shouldn't hit; he saw a woman who needed to be put in her place.

"LEARN!" He breathed out in a guttural snarl, as he dipped downwards to step past her, the edge of his sword slamming into her side in a vicious semi-circle of a blow, "YOUR!" he continued, dancing past her to her front now as the pommel collided with her temple, no doubt dizzying the Lapine. "PLACE!" Came the thunderous roar of a decidedly pissed off Docro.

All in all, Shining's wounds had built up over time. Most of them were superficial cuts scattered amongst the surface of her skin, but the occasional few were deeper, causing an excess of blood to be shed. Completely treatable but also a reminder of who not to cross in the future.

[23:14] It was a painful thing by nature alone.

On one hand, she wanted to view Ryker as one of her very few friends outside of Moxtli. On the other, their people had come to be at odds with one another over territorial disputes. He was no human, yet he sided with the machines. Her people’s natural enemy. Anxiety stirs deep in her heart with every hastened footstep as she circles around and throws her magic forward to clash with his own, swallowing back her reluctance for the sake of retrieving one of her friends from within the tribe.

The Nagual was counting on her, wasn’t she? The clumsy, light-hearted entertainer was Yohuali’s sole hope at a dismal time like this. She couldn’t afford to let her down if it could be helped.

Vibrant purple flames were impossible to ignore in such a dark place and effectively stole the show. In a cave of all places, her water and sand hardly painted the pretty picture of a beach as it did with the sun's light cast upon it.

Though his anger rose, she didn't snap against him similarly. Shining Sparkle was notably rather frantic in contrast while doing everything she could to push him back, numerous cuts naturally coming to litter the entertainer's form over the course of their battle.

"No..."

Her voice was uncharacteristically frail, entirely stripped dry of its humor. In the end, she was driven back after the pommel of his blade struck hard upon her temple. The Lapine reels and grips the inflicted area, tears lining the corners of her normally bright eyes.

Not solely due to the pain her shouting friend had wrought upon her, but also her helplessness. She'd fought a friend for a friend and failed.

"Give her back..." A broken whisper.

Would they forgive her?

[23:24] "Light out."

Luca's authoritarian voice announces, redoubled by the narrow walls of such cavern. Subsequently, gaining enough momentum from a brief walk, he dislocates the right foot towards Yohuali. A kick - with gargantuan strenght, dispatching her body like a ragdoll towards the wooden lamp, promptly shattering its structure.

Glass scatters, finalizing any sign of luminescence inside that cave. Now the youngsters are only able to somewhat comprehend what the Godfather's shadow is mimicking. But you know what they say - gangsters work better in the dark. If it was only Ryker present, perhaps the Boss could do his contemptible work in bright lights.

Descending a hand, the white-haired one grasps remnants of the wooden support. The medium-sized plank is cascaded towards Yohuali - and the present members of Achyon's military might only be able to hear the gargantuan sound echoing through the ambit.

THUMP!

The eldest Docro arises the weapon once more only to forcefully hit the nagual again. And again. And once more.

Perpetually encored. The witnesses might have lost count - because so did Luca. Darkness may obfuscate it, but the bloody pool can be felt dirtying his boots.

Means it's time to stop. He doesn't plan on permanently scarring the teenager, nor killing her.

Snapping his fingers, a small condensed explosion ignites his torch. Those who dared to look at the girl would find her beaten up badly, but nothing that wouldn't cure in a few months of rest.

Crouching, the white-haired one proficiently ties its victim's arms backward, not allowing her to freely move. Well, this accompanied by the brutal behavior - surely binding the movements.

Hands dancing inside the blackened robes, they find a recondite paper. With a digit bathing in the rubicund liquid, he writes a message, crumpling the paper and tying it to her mouth.

He's clearly not new to this, after all it was all completed in less than a minute.

"Now you will go back to your tribe with this message." stiffening his spine, the boss cracks digits. "Retrieve her weapons and anything you can sell, Bruno."

Shall you observe his countenance - it's crystalline - nonchalant. Unconcerned, postliminary of the senseless physical brutality.

"We are done here."

[23:27] The darkness and the sounds that Bruno was made all too aware of is such a close proximity were the kind that he dared not look towards. There was no need for some light where they were going - none at all.

When all was said and done, Bruno took the time to follow Luca's command, stripping Yohuali of her valuables and weapons before turning around to depart.

Two beasts, one plagued by emotional pain and the other by physical pain.

Perhaps the tribes would listen now.

And yet, he sits there, with the explosion illuminating the beaten and broken body of Yohuali, he feels nothing but shame.

He knew a little medicine. So she should theoretically be fine in maybe.. a Month? Two? If she receives the proper treatment anyway.

Maintaining a pensive silence and containing his internal emotional outburst, he told himself the words that all soldiers do. 'It was merely orders.'
After all, Moxtli had sparked this, had they not? Taking the mine and imposing a hefty penalty on all who choose to wander there that are not Beastkin.

Luca pyr Docro seemed to be a sensible man with intelligence. It must take a lot to incur his wrath, doesn't it?
Most certainly.. This is something that had to happen for things to resume normality.

It was imperative to the balance of society, and absolute necessity to reclaiming the mine.

Else.. Arken may be unable to call himself a good man for allowing such a thing to happen.

[23:35] Even in the face of Shining's tears and the current state of the Lapine, Ryker turned from her, his face masked by ire indefinitely. As Yohuali's body collided against the lamp post thanks to his Uncle, Ryker stared on. Even as the lights within the cave were extinguished, the Docro's gaze remained upon the act itself. For who else would be able to see so well within the dark beyond the Kitsune portion of the Docro family themselves?

Bright jade gaze never flinched, even as he watched the Don lift up that piece of wood and beat the beastkin savagely. Throughout it all, a lesson was made clear: he would get used to it.

The youngest Docro made no effort to move, and made no effort to assist either Shining nor Yohauli as Ryker had made his stance perfectly clear. They weren't to interfere. There's a deep breath as finally, the deed seemed done. There's a slow turn of his head, unapologetic jade optics turning once more to the Lapine he had just moments ago beat down.

And in that aloof exterior, there cracked a smile. The smug and arrogant smile of the Ryker of yesterday. Of the Ryker of last night. He was still there; he had just grown. He had learned.

"Go on home, Shining." He pointedly said, gesturing for the Lapine to leave post haste unless she desired for him to change his mind in regards to the extent of what he'd do. With that said he'd move forward, aiming to allow the initial Beastkin her escape once she had been brutalized with the message.

[23:41] The young nagual would convulse with electricity before her. Seeing her friend struggle with the abuse like that. It pained her to see it her suffer for the damage that she had gotten herself into. Something that she would have to live with..

Far to weak to face of against the Mafia that resided near Moxtli. This was a reminder that there were almost bigger fish in the sea. Not only that she would have to visit her tribemates in a more brutal state than she ever was.

A kick would flicker against her body The singing pain of the light would be present after the chips of glass would be lodged with her back. Causing multiple lasserations to appear unto her body. Blood seeping through her mouth.

She would be assualted. Over, and Over, and over again by the mafia. Damaging her pride, as well as traumatizing what little strength in her mind that she had.. A pool of blood would be under her. As she was curb stomped furiously by the group..

Relocating any disjointed parts. She would struggle to leave the area. Each step providing a task of atricion with her body like no other. She had been beaten. Even by her own father. But not to this extent, she hated to say these words. But she moved towards the bunny. Removing the letter.

"Shinning...No more. We leave..."

She said. Her body leaning upon hers for support.. A plan of action was to be made. And fast if they were to go anywhere with their advances. Things needed to be done now, in order to prevent casualties in the future...

But the nagual was not stupid. She now was aware of the power they had. But she needed to ask herself. What could she do in the presence of this? One by one? No... They never walk alone.. She needed something. Something to cling to end this... And she needed it soon.

Shining Sparkle’s gaze slowly trails over to Luca and Yohuali and she pushes herself to watch as her tribemate is beaten time and time again despite already being unconscious. Her lips twitch, a smile forced little by little. All she had to do was smile, right? The rest would surely work out somehow. It was the same as always.

Her people were animals to them, after all. Savages. If the shoe were on the other foot, there wasn’t a doubt in her mind that her people would’ve done similar if not worse. No side was crueler than the other when it came down to it.

Though anger swelled in her heart and twisted unpleasantly, she bites it back and does her best to pretend through it all. To put on a show, so to speak.

Her hands are waved at the pink-haired Docro and she proceeds to step forward, closing in on the fallen Nagual to ensure that she returned without any further incident. Yet her own steps were notably weighed down by the stinging assembly of wounds she'd been dealt. "I'll make sure this performance reaches my people's ears, Ryker. Don't you worry about a thing! Not a single thing, no!"

Once she'd gotten closer to her ally, she'd hurry to help her along. She permitted the girl to lean on her in full, her gaze brimming with concern.

Not knowing how badly she was injured, she didn't want to waste a second. Her priority was made known.

"Yohuali, look at what they’ve done to you! Let’s get you home, yeah? Come, come! Everyone's waiting! We'll set these wrongs right."

Even at a time like this, the entertainer attempted to remain optimistic.
