「その理由は不明ですが、
まずは彼らとの合流を急いで下さい…」
Haza: Though I know not why, you must please hasten to meet them...

Kira: Cagali... Are you alright?

カガリ
「あ、ああ…いつまでも
泣いているわけにはいかないしな」
Cagali: Y-Yeah... Can’t stand here crying forever.

カガリ
「それより、お前とアスランが
こういう形で再会できて、良かった…本当に…」
Cagali: I’m just glad you and Athrun made it back... Really glad...

「カガリ…」
Athrun: Cagali...

「しかし、本当にいいのか、君は?
無論、もう1人の彼もだが…」
Mu: By the way, are you sure you’re on board with this, Athrun? I know there’s another one of you here, but...

「着ている軍服に拘る気はないが、
俺達はこの先、状況次第では[ザフト]と戦闘に
なることだってあるんだぜ」
Mu: Look, we don’t mind what uniform you put on, but depending on how things play out, we could end up fighting [ZAFT], you know.

「本当にそこまでの覚悟があるのか?
君はパトリック・ザラの息子なんだろ?」
Mu: Do you really want to go through with this? You’re Patrick Zala’s son, aren’t you?

カガリ
「誰の子だって関係ないじゃないか、アスランは…」
Cagali: It doesn’t matter who’s son he is, Athrun--

ムウ
「軍人が自軍を抜けるっていうのは
君が思っているより、ずっと大変なことなんだよ」
Mu: It’s a lot harder for a soldier to leave their army than you think it is, Cagali.

ムウ
「ましてや、そのトップにいるのが自分の父親じゃ」
Mu: Even more so when it’s your own dad standing at the top of it all.

アスラン
「………」
Athrun: ...

ムウ
「自軍の大義を信じてなきゃ、戦争なんて出来ないんだ。
それがひっくり返るんだぞ?そう簡単に行くか。
彼はキラと違って、ザフトの正規の軍人だろ」
Mu: He wouldn’t have been fighting all this time if he hadn’t believed in ZAFT’s cause. And that’s supposed to suddenly change? It’s not that simple. Unlike Kira, he’s a regular soldier of ZAFT.

カガリ
「あ…」
Cagali: Ah...

ムウ
「悪いんだけどな、一緒に戦うならあてにしたい。
いいのか?どうなんだ?」
Mu: I’m sorry, but if we’re going to fight together I have to know if I can count on you. Well? Can I?

アスラン
「オーブで…いえ、[プラント]でも地球でも、
見て、聞いて、思ったことはたくさんあります」
Athrun: At Orb... No, even at the [PLANT] and on Earth I thought about a lot of things I’d see and heard.

アスラン
「それが間違ってるのか、正しいのか、
何がわかったのか、わかっていないのか…
それすら、今の俺にはよくわかりません」
Athrun: About what’s right and what’s wrong, what am I understanding, and what am I not... Even now, I still don’t have the answer to these basic questions.

アスラン
「ただ、自分が願っている世界は、
あなた方と同じだと…今はそう感じています」
Athrun: But it’s clear to me that you people share the same hope for this world that I have... That’s how I feel right now.

ムウ
「ふっ、しっかりしてるねえ、君は。
キラとは大違いだ」
Mu: Heh, you sound like a pretty determined fella. Nothing like our Kira here.

キラ
「アスランは昔からそうなんです」
Kira: He’s been like that since we were little.

ムウ
「俺達がオーブから託された物は、大きいぜ?」
Mu: Orb’s entrusted us with quite an obligation. It’s a huge task.

アスラン
「わかっています。
そして、プラントにも同じように
考えている人がいます」
Athrun: I’m aware. And you know, there are people in the PLANTs that feel the same way.

キラ
「ラクス?」
Kira: Like Lacus?

ムウ
「あの、ピンクのお姫様?」
Mu: The pink princess, you mean?

キラ
「アスランの婚約者です」
Kira: Athrun’s fiancée, yeah.

アスラン
「彼女は今、追われている…反逆者として、俺の父に」
Athrun: They’re hunting for her right now... After my father declared her a traitor.

ムウ
「そうか…志が同じなら何とかしてやりたいが、
こっちも色々と逼迫してる。
上にその話は伝えておくが…」
Mu: I see... Well, I wish we could do something about it, but we’re not exactly in a good position ourselves. I’ll talk about it to the big guys, but...

ムウ
「場合によっては、ロンド・ベル隊と一緒に
他の世界へ行くことになるかも知れないぞ」
Mu: Depending on what they decide, we may end up going to another world with Londo Bell.

アスラン
「…!」
Athrun: ...!

ムウ
「それも、この状況を凌ぐ手段の一つだからな」
Mu: That would be one way for us to make it through our current predicament.

アスラン
「もし、そうなるなら…
俺もこの目で他の世界の有様を
見ておいた方がいいと思います」
Athrun: If you are... I think it’d be good for me to see what things are like in other worlds too.

ムウ
「わかった。それじゃあな」
Mu: Got it. I’ll talk to you later then.

(Mu leaves.)

(他の世界、か…)
Cagali: (Other worlds...)

「カガリはそろそろクサナギに
戻った方がいいんじゃないか?」
Kira: Shouldn’t you go back to the Kusanagi, Cagali?

カガリ
「そ…その前に…これをお前に見て欲しいんだ」
Cagali: B...Before that... I want you to see this.

キラ
「写真?」
Kira: A picture?

カガリ
「ああ…お父様から渡された物だ」
Cagali: Yeah... My father gave it to me.

キラ
「女の人と赤ん坊…」
Kira: It’s a woman and her babies...

カガリ

Cagali: Other side...

「! この文字、僕の名前と…カガリ…!?」
Kira: ! My name’s written on the back... And so is yours...!?

「何だって…!?」
Athrun: What does this mean...!?

カガリ
「お父様は言っていた…お前は一人じゃないって…」
Cagali: My father said...that I wouldn’t be alone...

アスラン
「双子…!?」
Athrun: You’re twins...!?

キラ
「あ…」
Kira: Ah...

カガリ
「どういう…ことだ?」
Cagali: What...does all this mean?

「そんな…僕にだって、そんな…」
Kira: I...don’t have a clue...

アスラン
「この、赤ちゃんを抱いてる人は…?」
Athrun: Then the person holding the babies is your...?

カガリ

Cagali: ...

アスラン
「母親だよな、多分…」
Athrun: Well, it’s your mother, most likely.

カガリ
「じゃあ、私は…」
Cagali: So, what am I...?

「今は考えてもしょうがないよ、カガリ」
Kira: Dwelling on it now won’t do you any good, Cagali.

Cagali: ...!

「それに…カガリのお父さんは、ウズミさんだよ」
Kira: This doesn’t change the fact that Representative Uzumi is still your father.

カガリ
「キラ…」
Cagali: Kira...

「さあ、クサナギに戻って。
これからどうするか、艦長達が決めるんだろ?」
Kira: Well, you should go back to the Kusanagi now. The captains need to decide what we’re doing from here on, right?

カガリ
「あ、ああ…わかった」
Cagali: Y-Yeah... You’re right.

(Cagali leaves.)

アスラン
「…ついててやった方が良くないか?」
Athrun: ...Shouldn’t you go with her?

キラ
「今の状況じゃ、いつ出撃命令が出てもおかしくないし…
一緒にいると、かえって考え込んじゃいそうだし…」
Kira: Things as they are now, we could be ordered to launch at any moment... If I’m with her, she won’t be able to stop thinking about it...

アスラン
「そうか…」
Athrun: Good point...

無人のコロニーに行ってもらっても構わない」
Bright: I’m merely suggesting it. You could just as easily head for the abandoned L4 colony.

ブライト
「ただ、我々はそこまで同行することは出来ん。
まもなくハーザがゲートを開くのでな」
Bright: However, we will not be able to accompany you in that case. Haza will be opening a Gate very soon.

キサカ
「そうですか…」
Kisaka: Is that so...

ブライト
「他の世界へ行けば、間違いなく
そこにいる敵対勢力と戦闘になる」
Bright: Should you come with us to other worlds, you will undoubtedly have to engage hostile forces in combat.

ブライト
「だが、いくつかの世界…
例えば、私の世界では地球連邦軍の岡司令が
全面的にバックアップしてくれる」
Bright: However in some worlds, such as my own, we have the full backing of the Earth Federation thanks to Commander Oka.

ブライト
「故に、現状よりは補給手段が確保されると
思ってもらっていい」
Bright: That’s why I say it will be a much safer way to procure supplies than the situation you face here.

「それに、今の我々にとって、君達は貴重な戦力だ。
協力してもらえるとありがたい」
Bright: Furthermore, your fighting strength would be a valuable asset to us right now. We would greatly appreciate your cooperation.

「そして、この世界の争いを平定するために
こちらも力を貸すつもりだ」
Bright: And finally, we have every intention of assisting you for the sake of putting a halt to the conflict in this world.

あなた方には何度も助けていただいた
ご恩があります」
Murrue: ...I understand. We are indebted to you due to the number of times you’ve graciously come to our aid as well.

マリュー
「そして…他の世界と共通する脅威についても
対処しなければならないと思っていますので」
Murrue: And...I also believe that we should fight against the threats that loom over not only our world but the others as well.

ブライト
「そうか。では、クサナギは?」
Bright: Very well. And what about the Kusanagi?

カガリ
「…私達も行く。
お父様の遺志を継ぐためにも…
そして、必ずこの世界へ戻る」
Cagali: ...We’ll go with you as well. And come back to this world to carry on my father’s legacy...

ブライト
「了解した。
では、各艦はゲート突入の準備を」
Bright: Understood. Then all ships should make preparations to enter the Gate.


(Scene changes to a map screen of snowy mountains. All 4 ships appear through a Gate.)


トーレス
「全艦、ゲートを通過しました。
現在位置はノヴォスタリスクより
北東80キロメートルです」
Torres: All ships have passed through the Gate. Our current position is 80 kilometers northeast of Novosibirsk.

ブライト
「それだと、デューカリオンやオケアノスと
すぐに接触できるわけではなさそうだな」
Bright: Then it doesn’t seem like we’ll be able to make contact with the Deucalion and the Oceanus right away.

トーレス
「ゲートの出現位置に誤差が生じたんですかね?
それとも、ハーザが意図的に…?」
Torres: Was there a miscalculation in regards to the Gate’s exit point? Or was this something Haza did intentionally...?

ミサト
「現時点では何とも言えないわね」
Misato: Hard to say for now.

ブライト
「ともかく、デューカリオンとオケアノスを捜索しつつ、
ノヴォスタリスク方面へ向かうぞ」
Bright: At any rate, we will now head towards Novosibirsk and begin searching for the Deucalion and the Oceanus.

しかも、火星騎士は自分の領地獲得と
その維持に拘りがち」
Sumeragi: The Vers Empire’s surveillance network appears limited... And their Martian Knights seem more concerned with acquiring and maintaining territory for themselves more than anything.

「そして、この荒涼とした土地は
彼らにとって魅力的な物ではないわ。
となると、現れるのは…」
Sumeragi: So a desolate land like this doesn’t have any appeal to them. Which means if anyone were to show up here--

「9時方向に高熱源反応、多数!
データ照合…[ベガ星連合軍]です!」
Feldt: Multiple high energy readings detecting from 9 o’clock! Comparing the data... It’s the [Vegan Empire]!

スメラギ
「…やはりね」
Sumeragi: ...It would have to be them.

『舞い戻る者』
Episode 85
The Ones Who Returned


(Scene begins on a map screen of snowy mountains. All 4 ships are on the map. Several Mini-FOs and Saucer Beasts are on the map.)


ミサト
「ベガ星連合軍がこの辺りを彷徨いているなら、
デューカリオンとオケアノスは
近くにいるのかも知れませんね」
Misato: If the Vegan Empire are skulking around here, then that means the Deucalion and the Oceanus could be nearby.

ブライト
「敵の戦力を削ぐために、ここで撃破する。
各機は直ちに出撃せよ」
Bright: We’ll destroy the enemies here to cut down on their military strength. All units, launch immediately.

(The player’s team appears.)

アスラン
「あれが異星人の兵器か」
Athrun: So these are alien weapons.

豹馬
「あの程度で驚いてもらっちゃ困るぜ。
これから色んなのと戦うことになるんだからよ」
Hyoma: You’re gonna have a hard time later on if this is enough to surprise you. We’ll be fighting a lot of enemies like this from here on.

アスラン
「ああ、心づもりはしておく」
Athrun: Right, I’ll keep that in mind.

甲児
「さて、奴らをさっさと蹴散らして、
大介さんや万丈さん達と合流しようぜ!」
Koji: Alright, let’s send these guy’s packing so we can find, Daisuke, Banjo, and the others!

(Battle 1 begins.)

(Battle 1 ends when all enemies are defeated. More Mini-FOs and Saucer Beasts immediately appear.)

トーレス
「敵機接近!11時方向より真っ直ぐ!
またミニフォーと[円盤戦]です!」
Torres: Enemy reinforcements, at 11 o’clock! More Mini-FOs and [Saucer Beasts]!

鉄也
「すぐに増援を送り込んで来たか。
この先にデューカリオンとオケアノスがいると
見て間違いないようだな」
Tetsuya: They sent in reinforcements right away. I think it’s safe to say we’re on the track to finding the Deucalion and the Oceanus.

「デューカリオンとオケアノスが
敵の追撃を受けているおそれがある」
Bright: These enemies could be pursuing the Deucalion and the Oceanus.

ブライト
「その2隻との合流を急ぐためにも、
各機は早急に現戦域内の敵機を掃討しろ」
Bright: All units, defeat the enemies on the battlefield immediately so we can rendezvous with both of them quickly.

(Battle 2 begins.)

「現戦域内の敵機反応、全て消失しました!」
Torres: All enemy readings in the combat zone have disappeared!

ブライト
「各艦に伝達。
ノヴォスタリスク方面へ急行するぞ」
Bright: Notify all ships. We’re continuing on to Novosibirsk immediately.

「もうすぐノヴォスタリスクたね」
Kaminagi: We’re almost to Novosibirsk now, aren’t we?

伊奈帆
「ああ、このままだと無事に辿り着けそうだ」
Inaho: Yes, it looks like we’ll arrive without incident.

韻子
「前みたいに隕石爆撃を受けたら、
私達だけじゃ厳しいもんね」
Inko: Unless we get hit with a meteor strike again, then we’re kind of screwed.

キョウ
「デューカリオンを
無事にノヴォスタリスクへ送り届けりゃ、
お姫様の苦労行脚も一段落だな」
Kyo: Our princess’s arduous journey will finally reach its end once the Deucalion reaches Novosibirsk, huh.

アセイラム
「そう、ですね…」
Asseylum: Yes, hopefully...

キョウ
「そうなれば、俺達もお役御免だ。
何事もないことを祈るぜ」
Kyo: Guess we’ll be out of a job once that’s taken care of. Let’s just pray nothing goes wrong.

シズノ
「そのお役が回ってきたみたいよ」
Shizuno: It looks like your job has changed.

キョウ
「シズノ先輩。
わざわざこっちに来るなんて、よっぽどのことか?」
Kyo: Shizuno? I’m guessing something big happened if you came here yourself.

シズノ
「ええ、ロンド・ベル隊が現れたの」
Shizuno: Yes. Londo Bell has appeared.

カミナギ
「それって…もしかして、
この世界で異変が起こるってことですか?」
Kaminagi: Does that mean...that something bad’s going to happen in this world?

シズノ
「いいえ、私達の世界みたいよ。
しかも、オケアノスとゼーガペイン・アルティールに
関係があると予測されているわ」
Shizuno: Actually, it seems something’s going down in our world. Specifically, it has something to do with the Oceanus and Zegapain Altair.

キョウ
「いよいよ因果関係に個別指名かよ。
それに、俺達だけピックアップされるんじゃ、
ロンド・ベルの連中と顔を合わせる時間はなさそうだな」
Kyo: Calling us out by name is like setting up cause and effect. Besides, now’s not really a good time to have just us meeting up with Londo Bell.

シズノ
「いずれにせよ、
苦難が待ち受けていることに変わりはないわ。
心の準備をしておいた方がいいわね」
Shizuno: Either way, you’re sure to have some sort of hardship waiting for you in the future. You’d best get ready for it.

キョウ
「楽観視はしねえが、
神は乗り越えられる試練しか与えないっていうぜ」
Kyo: Well I don’t normally take this stance, but it’s been said “God will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear”.

「それって、聖書?
でも、ハーザさんは神様じゃないわよね」
Kaminagi: Is that from the Bible? But it’s not like Haza’s a god to begin with anyways.

「そもそも原典じゃ、意味が違うよ」
Inaho: That’s not really how it’s meant in the original text.

「え? そうなの?」
Kaminagi: Eh? It’s not?

キョウ
「つまり、カミナギのツッコミがズレてるってことだ」
Kyo: In other words, you really gotta work on your straight-man routine, Kaminagi.

伊奈帆
「受け取り方は人それぞれだけどね」
Inaho: Well, different people interpret it different ways, I suppose.

カミナギ
「キョウちゃんの話、難しい!
そんなの伊奈帆君くらいしかわかんないよ!」
Kaminagi: Your talks are too hard to follow, Kyo! Inaho’s the only one that ever understands what you’re saying!

「そうそう、
あんまり置いてけぼりにしないでよね」
Inko: Yeah, you guys always end up leaving us out of the loop.

キョウ
「悪い悪い。伊奈帆とは話が合うからさ」
Kyo: Sorry ‘bout that. Inaho and I just talk about the same kind of stuff.

アセイラム
「すみません、伊奈帆さん。
先ほどのお話、私もよくわからなくて…」
Asseylum: I’m sorry, Inaho. I don’t really understand what you were just talking about either...

「ああ。キョウが言っていたのは…」
Inaho: Right. You see, Kyo was talking about...

どんな困難があっても、諦めないことが大事だよ!」
Kaminagi: Inko. No matter how hard it looks, it’s important you never give up!

「どうしたんだよ、急に」

「もう、キョウちゃん!
話がこんがらかるから、口を挟まないで!」
Kaminagi: Ugh, Kyo! You’re just gonna make this worse, so shut it!

元々、護衛は厚意でしていただいていたものですし、
ここから先は我々の世界の問題ですから」
Magbaredge: That’s fine. The escort thus far was a kindness given to us to begin with. From here on, we’ll handle the problems of our world ourselves.

「道半ばで去る不義理を許していただきたい」
Shima: Please forgive us for the dishonor of taking our leave before seeing to our task’s conclusion.

「シマ司令からそのような言葉を聞けるとは
思いませんでした。似合いませんね」
Mizusaki: It’s odd hearing Commander Shima speak like that. It just doesn’t sit right with me.

その動きを活性化させてしまうことが予想されます」
