  1. Summoning Battle
  2.
  3. A Summoning Battle is really just any battle between Summoners. However, even bringing about a single Summon without the assistance of a readied arena or
  4. takes place in an often circular (any closed shape with reflectional symmetry works though) arena, with two "Cores" on either side. An unoccupied lane, surrounds the shape of the arena (and can be used for a number of functions) and is called the Circuit.
  5.
  6. The Cores, often take the shape of a massive shape of Chaos Force. Hence, any Dream Force based attack will "douse" it. One may not attack the Core, if there is enemy entity within the arena at the moment. A fully doused Core, signifies an immediate loss. A core can be doused through other, specific conditions of certain summons or spells.
  7.
  8. Interaction between the inside and outside of the arena, is limited to the summoner giving commands to his or her summons, and casting spells. In other words, using Gems. More on them later. There are rare occasions where a summon may interact with the audience (example: an ability that makes a summon regenerate faster when dismissed, scaling off how much the audience cheered for said summon when he was on the battlefield), but other than these, a Battle cannot be tampered with, and summons cannot harm summoners.
  9.
  10. Hence, a Battle is a solemn event, that no one may interfere with. An outer circuit of dream force lines the outside of the arena, and when a match ends it releases a pulse that returns all summons to their gems without hurting them, suppresses all spells and douses the winner's core as well. A referee might decide to stop the game, and has the ability to release this pulse early, and end a game at a certain point. The result is then decided by the referee.

  12. Important terms:
  13.
  14. Summon: Either a Summon or the act of Summoning.
  15.
  16. Cast: The act of casting a Spell.
  17.
  18. Dismiss: When a summon is returned to the gem, due to being damaged too much or from an effect either hostile or friendly, as well as a condition for an effect or summon.
  19.
  20. Downtime: The time a Summon needs to come back after being dismissed. Generally when a summon is dismissed because of a friendly effect or ability, it takes half as long to come back as when dismissed by enemies.
  21.
  22. Charge time: The equivalent of the above, but for spells.
  23.
  24. Arena: The arena where the battle happens. It enforces the result of the match, and any deal made over it.
  25.
  26. For summoners to battle, they generally need summon gems and spell gems. Summon gems, bring about entities, known as Summons, and bear a certain number of qualities. Below, Summons will be explained thoroughly:

  30. Spells are also, while technically unnecessary, widely used. They seem to produce no beings (although can be used in conjunction with other spells, to fulfill the conditions of a Summon's summoning) but raw effects of a shape. Spells can also materialize physical objects, as long as they are non sapient, or sentient.

  34. A strategy that makes use of only Summons or only Spells, would be considered either highly foolish, the mark of a newbie, or if the user happens to make it work, the mark of an extremely gifted summoner instead.
