  1. AGDQ2019 Reflections
  2.
  3. I had a good time despite being a bit pessimistic about the trip. I hadn't been to an AGDQ since 2014 when kairos had to drop Jedi Outcast and I was asked to do Bloodlines. My run of Chronicles this year would have gone better if I didn't forget all of the commentary I had planned once I was live. It was still a deathless sub 30 minute run which I'm happy about. I wish I hadn't kept drawing comparisons to the original mode and arranged, and I think my speech at the end was a bit lame, I hope no one took offense. I want to make an effort to be less ironic about my runs.

  5. Panel went better than expected. Thought maybe 3 people would show and it was more like 10. I hope it comes out well once the VOD is up on YT.

  7. I'm glad I attended. Shoutouts to everyone I spoke to at the event, even if it was only for a few minutes. I wish I had introduced myself to a few more people than I ended up doing. This GDQ had a bunch of moments where I'd pass by someone I am acquainted with but it didn't seem to be a good moment to stop and say hello, or it was a quick hi and maybe that person doesn't recognize who you are. It's all good though, at an event with around 2000 people you can't see everyone. I found the practice room to be a bit overwhelming and only went in when I was looking for someone, thus limiting the amount of people I ran into. I spent a decent amount of time in the arcade playing Tempest. I was hoping for a shump, fighting game, and pinball machines to be down there and got 1/3, which was broken for a bit. I entered the Evil Zone tournament and won a round. I ate a lot of good food; our dinner's were consistently lit, except for the one night I ordered Papa Johns - that was mediocre.

  9. I feel like I can recognize things that GDQ does well and modify those up to help NASA run better, like having double-sided badges. While some PR and things don't go so well for GDQ, they do have a lot of valuable experience. This goes for all marathons, and I hope we can collaborate and learn more from one another. I wish I could be more certain of my future so I could plan to attend other events.
  10.
  11. I'd like to find a game I could begin racing in, though I don't know what since I don't run any popular games at the moment besides Metroid 1, which I'm washed-out on. I also have other plans.
  12.
  13. Bloodlines All Quests 2019 will begin once I figure out how long I'm going to grind Chronicles for the record. I might as well spend some time on it now when I'm more-or-less practiced. Maybe get in a one-run-and-done Original Mode time? I've been considering picking Daffy back up despite Bloodlines All Quests 2019. But I won't let my focus waiver.
  14.
  15. I'm going to try and get back to streaming casual whole console library explorations. I'm going to go back to the PC98 and just stream whatever quality my current SSD3 gives me. Terra Onion sucks. Sharp x68000 will be next once I fiddle with my console and get the floppy emulation drive working, followed by Genesis/Master System once I pickup a flashcart and assuming my Model 1 works.
  16.
  17. As mentioned, I have no idea what my future holds, but I'm more open to the idea of attending future GDQ events, assuming that I would run into or hang out with the same folks.
  18.
  19. Here's hoping I can get my ass streaming more.
