  1. After her bout with Skyul she made her way up to the very tips of the mountains where Theria was made. She looked out over the horizon and then she waited for her mind to be at ease. She stood before a high cliff, just on the edge looking upward.
  2.
  3. The dragon she'd spotted flying high on their expedition came to mind, clouds taking the shape of great majestic wings had made her heart race. She was going to become a dragon soon right? A full fledged pureblood, all she needed was the aid of Veles and her hunting party. She didn't want to hunt a dragon to kill it, but she knew that it would likely come to that if the dragon did not wish to part with its own rare blood.
  4.
  5. Would Ryujin take away her blessing for doing such a thing? Or would he judge her accordingly when her time came. Brown eyes stare into the warm orange horizon, her arms were chilly but her heart was heavy. What if she never became a dragon? The technique she kept trying to mimic was pretty difficult. If often resulted in her own injury, or the expenditure of her mana leaving her drain and incapable of casting more spells..
  6.
  7. Yet today, today would be different. She was going to learn how to do this whether it took four days or four weeks. She had done so properly in their battle against the dragon, and again when they ran from the knights. This time it was for all the marbles, this was her test to herself. This was the right of passage to see if she could muster those flames perfectly, raging flames of rage and passion capable of burning under water at the deepest sea levels, the strength to burn through nyeshk bunkers in the knights holds, powerful enough to burn through the walls of Osrona and destroy the city.

  9. She rose to her feet and flexed her wrists, letting them loosen up. She inhaled deeply and exhaled very slowly visualizing the technique. Her error was letting everything out at once prematurely or too late, the build up of power was either too much, two little, or disoriented casing the rapid drain in mana.
  10.
  11. Her heels planted firm, a burning sensation built in her gut as she focused her mana within as her chamber for ignition. She looked to the skies and focused on growing the ball of mana to a proportionate size and raising it through her stomach toward her mouth, her insides flared to life as she did this, her whole body emitting heat that melted the snow around her. Just as the flaming ball reached her mouth she doubled down and tripled the mana input allowing herself to watch it propel safely from outside of her body rather than within.
  12.
  13. The great searing arrow pierced the clouds and flew high like a flaming spear until it fizzled out in the high altitudes, upon the end of its flight, it combusted creating a dazzling display of raining embers and the sound of numerous explosions.
  14.
  15. She'd gotten the hang of it, it was time to go back and meet Skyul. This time she'd put him down for good. Maybe.
