  1. One morning, a note comes to Trollskull Manor, addressed to Miss Justice of the Fellowship from one Jelenn Urmbrusk, the matron of House Urmbrusk (one of the more powerful families of the city. There is a general consensus that the woman certainly must be a Masked Lord, though -- as ever -- the truth about this is shrouded in mystery). More focused for the Tiefling sisters, this is the noblewoman who came to Trollskull and practically demanded a loan of no less than 5,000 gold pieces, which she did promise to repay, while imparting some suggestion that many of the noble families of the city see the gold given to the Fellowship by the Open Lady Laerel Silverhand as rightfully theirs (though none would be foolish enough to actively go against the will of the Open Lady, or of the Masked Lords which presumably approved the tithe to the party).

  3. She meets with the sisters in their manor, accompanied once again by a retinue of her guards. She is far more at ease this time: she is pleasant company as she assures them that her debt to the party is at an end and that a sum of five-thousand dragons has been transferred to Lady Justice's name. She insists, in that somewhat infuriating fashion of the affluent, to a bit of small-talk, politely inquiring about Justice and Winn's goings-on, and promises that if, in the future, they have need of an audience with the Open Lady, a boon from the Masked Lords, or any other specific assistance, that House Umbrusk is in far better a position to aid now than they were a year ago. (Mechanically, this is a favor that Justice can call in.)

  5. She also imparts a particular rumor she has heard: Victorio and Ammalia Cassalanter, of the long-standing but historically rather unimpressive Cassalanter noble lineage, are planning a party in the coming months that promises to be the "most spectacular party the city of Waterdeep has ever seen." Strange, since they are quietly promoting the party as precisely that, and are sending out invitations to Waterdeep's most notable families. Three years ago, their eldest son mysteriously disappeared, and about that time their fortunes, which had been in steep decline over the decade prior, reversed. They have risen to become one of the wealthiest families of the city and the envy of much of the Waterdhavian nobility. "It might be something worth looking into," is all that Lady Jelenn really shares on the topic before departing with wispy, half-veiled smiles.
