- I would not like to live in the same worls as this book because to live in this book would be to live udner the reign of the cruel, unforgiving Capitol. Some of the worst things that the captiol does that make me want to live in my own world and not theirs is the Hunger Games, The unfairness between districs, and the fact that the Captitol is rich enough to treat everybody the same but continues not to.
- As mentioned earlier, the capitol hosts a "game" where 24 triutes are thrown into an arena or wilderness and orced to fight to the death. The last person standing will return home with fame, fortune, and stories for years to come. There are two peeople from each distriict that must attened The Games -- a boy and a girl, and each person is chosen at random by the capitol. However, while some fear being chosen for the Huneger Games, others from more wealthy districs are honored to be chosen, and train it.
- The fact that some people have to fear the games and some want in the games brings me to another point: the amount of unfairness between districs. There are 12 districs, and some of them are very poor, and some are rich enough to live a normal life and not find it ard to put food on the table. The captiol can bathe in tubs of money, have anything they want, do anything they want, but choose to keep everything to themselves. If they were fair rulers, they would divide what they have amongst all 12 districs and themselves. The Hunger Games themselves aren't even fairly hosted, seeming how some districs get away with training for the games; these tributes usually win. It isn't just money, supplies, and the games that make everything unfair, though, but the punishments, too. Almost everything has a severe punsihment -- usually being whipped multiple times, being put to death, or other cruel...creative forms of pain.
- And each of these horrendous facts about the world of the Hunger Games are dictated by the Captiol. The Hunger Games remain only to show that the districs are powerless in comparison to the Captiol, which is pointless, bevause they already realize this after 70 years of the games. They have no excuse for the unfairness between districs, as they could give anthing and everything to any district they want; they just choose not to. Finally, there is the fact that toomany laws have a death penalty. If living conditions weren't so terrible, which the Capitol controls, then people wouldn't need to break the law. It almost doesn't seem worth it, because it is likely that you'll die whether you break the law or don't.
- these were some reasons that I'd never like to live in the harsh land of The Hunger Games, it is one of the worst places I have ever read about, and just the thought of living there is scary.
