  1. It was all eyes on Sir Hector
  2.
  3. Toratori gritted his teeth, not caring about what, where, or whom the bloodied knight was. The only thing that he cared about in that moment, was Ka-Tula. He finally was able to meet up with her again and out of everything that could've happened.
  4.
  5. An executioner pops up.
  6.
  7. "Who do you work for..." Toratori would growl as he'd take a step towards Hector. "An executioner sounds like someone who's out to kill, and judging by your appearances. . ."
  8.
  9. Pointing at the knight's bloodied figure and bag, anyone would be skeptical. Even a stressed out Toratori.
  10.
  11. "I'll say this one more time." he'd threaten. "Who. Do. You. Work. For."
  12. (Toratori)
  13. Hector let out a dull chuckle as the boy spoke towards the pair, "I'm not really out to kill young man, I do it when it's required." Hector glanced down at his bloodied form, he really did fit the description quite well.
  14.
  15. Waving a hand the knight shrugged, "I have no one employer, I simply deliver justice where it needs to be dealt." In his own mind at least.
  16.
  17. Hector couldn't help but notice the fearfulness of Ka-Tula's stance and how she seemed to hide from himself. Echoing out calmly as he continued to rest a hand on his hilt, "I'd like to hear your names at the very least, it's only fair young man." Hector's gaze danced between the two of them as he gave a nod towards Ka-Tula, "I'd like to hear Ka-Tula's from herself at the very least."
  18.
  19. Hector was used to the hostility the humans and other members of mankind showed whenever he arrived so the aggressiveness Tora showed didn't phase him as he attempted to conversate.
  20. (Hector)
  21. Hearing the reverberation of speech made Ka-Tula think that the helmet was hollow. It made her even more weary yet outwardly, she refused to show it more than her stance and clothing already did.
  22.
  23. She tried to take in the whole situation, and learn from her past mistakes, tried to not be so tunnel visioned. Her eyes briefly tore off the bloody man, the executioner, to scan the dark forest behind in case more people were to ambush. Then back to him.
  24.
  25. "We are not interested in introductions.. This was a private meeting." Ka-Tula said, but when she later heard that he already knew her name, she froze. Her calculative stance, her caution really did grow somewhat into fear. How did this stranger know who she was? Tora... He'd practically shouted it.
  26.
  27. A moment of adjustment, and she was back to focus, but her forehead spotted a cold-sweat. She tried to think. To be logical. And after a moment she figured that saying her name again to a man who already knew it, couldn't be too bad.
  28.
  29.
  30. "I am Ka-Tula." She stated bluntly. No fancy additional speech.
  31. (Ka-Tula)
  32. Hear from Ka-Tula herself.
  33.
  34. Toratori went numb as the words echoed through his head. Over and over again as he fell deaf to all else. He couldn't really comprehend what was going on, but he needed something. ANYTHING. To release this pain that he's been feeling for so long.
  35.
  36. Rage erupted within Toratori, as the bloodied knight asked for Ka-Tula to speak to her. The only thoughts that rambled in his head was
  37.
  38. Ka-Tula. Protect. Shadowmire. Evil. Ka-Tula. Protect. Shadowmire. Evil. Ka-Tula. PROTECT.
  39.
  40. An inferno erupted around Toratori, wrapping his body in it's fiery embrace, burning brightly around him as the as it licked his skin. Slamming his foot upon the ground beneath him, he crushed the earth with a shattering boom before darting forward to fight Hector. Cutting off Ka-Tula the second she said.
  41.
  42. I am
  43. (Toratori)
  44. The cold-sweat grew and grew, as she waited in silence. She could almost feel it, the static - not from her, but from Toratori. She didn't think it was a good idea, and suddenly she understood how Howl and Thorn must have felt.
  45.
  46. Fuck them. She was not going to shut Toratori down, wasn't going to stop him like they had her. SHE was going to back him up! Toratori suddenly rushed forward, and right behind him, Ka-Tula followed.
  47. (Ka-Tula)
  48. Hector was nowhere near surprised; his gaze was locked on Ka-Tula as she spoke. He harbored no ill will towards her, though a few members of the Mire did.
  49.
  50. As soon as the air around Tora began to heat up Hector clutched his blade. Drawing it in the blink of an eye a dull blue glow formed and encased the shattered sword, creating a blade of shimmering mana to compensate for the missing metal.
  51.
  52. Blocking the initial dash by deflecting to the side Hector side-stepped and pointed his blade at Toratori. "I just wanted a name boy, why are all of you so difficult?" Hector was truly saddened by the constant aggression his people faced simply because they were given a bad reputation by their less intelligent peers. But a challenge was a challenge.
  53.
  54. The air around Hector stood still for a moment before exploding with weight. The gravity around him multiplying and growing exponentially heavier. In a flash the knight dashed forward to meet the teen, blade ready to strike.
  55. (Hector)
  56. Hector assumed his stance and their fight began. The power and heat the boy exuded were surprising to the Dullahan as blasts of flame were sent his way.
  57.
  58. Hector did his best to avoid the most brutal blasts, bobbing and weaving through explosive barrages to get near to Tora. As he brought his blade down masterfully through various flurries and jabs he was surprised yet again by the boy's prowess with his magic and fists alike.
  59.
  60. As the battle drew on Hector realized he'd need to finish Tora quickly before he was finished himself. Dashing forward the knight leapt into the air as an explosion propelled himself skyward. Coming down from the sky he slashed a deep wound into Tora's chest. Someone so physically strong would certainly recover from it given enough time, but the blackening of veins was more than disconcerting.
  61.
  62. Occultic taint was flowing in through the wound as it quickly blackened and darkened along side the nearest veins.
  63.
  64. Hector hadno need to execute Tora, in his mind the boy was rude, not a sinning criminal. A lesson simply needed to be taught. Echoing out "Treat others with respect and you're more likely to receive the same from them... The same goes for hostility."
  65.
  66. Hector limped back a few steps as he checked his battered armor, that was quite the fight. Turning he noticed that Ka-Tula seemed ready to fight as well.
  67.
  68. Hector was nowhere near as confident as he raised his sword and kept his aura up. "Do you wish to deal with me or take you friend to a medic Lady Ka-Tula?" Hector was half hoping she'd just take Tora and flee rather than punished his battered self, but the latter was more likely he figured.
  69. (Hector)
  70. DIE!
  71.
  72. Toratori yelled as his mana circuits burned from within, his flames fueling each of his blows as he kept after the blooded skeleton. Swinging his arms wildly as he continued to chase after Hector.
  73.
  74. He simply didn't care, he was enraged. He didn't care about the consequences, he was out for blood. Releasing a fury of explosive blows their way. Toratori bounded forward, not stopping for anything or anyone that'd dare try to stop him.
  75.
  76. However it was at this time that he felt something change, it was something different than he's ever felt before. Time after time, he felt a massive gravitational pull forcing him to the ground only to stun him momentarily. Then blow after blow he'd receive until the pup would finally fall.
  77.
  78. It'd seem like the skeleton had caught onto something, and whatever it was quickly led to his defeat. With the skeleton's blade now deep within his chest, Toratori screamed out in pain as he felt something inject itself into him. He felt the pain burn throughout his body, and before long he lied there helpless on the ground.
  79.
  80. The only thing he could do is watch as Ka-Tula too was beaten by the same bloodied soldier that defeated him.
  81.
  82. Now traumatized, by his loss. He'd only remain silent as pain pulsated through his body. Toratori wondered if this was the same exact pain that Ka-Tula had been faced with all this time.
  83.
  84. The cries of his friend would only further injury him. As he couldn't do anything for her.
  85. (Toratori)
