housekeeping - week 4

BRADLEY'S ROOM:

It's a fully stone room. One you might be able to find at the very back of a cave, cool and dark. At the edge of a room is a river that glows pale blue constantly. Stalactites and stalagmites line the river, but there are some rock formations that are more suited to lounging. Unassuming rocks are littered on the ground, some already shattered, revealing blue jewels.

There's a large, patterned rug in the middle of the room, and above that a fancy chandelier. The walls of the room make some natural shelving, where a small amount of plant life grows (or seems to; upon closer inspection the plants are fake). A dark wood wardrobe resides against the left wall, on top of another large area rug. Beside that, a desk paired with a black sumptuous leather office chair. Atop the desk is a simple jewelry box, filled with rings, necklaces and other such trinkets.

Against the opposite wall is an L shaped sectional in black leather, with one of the backs turned towards the river. Directly across from this couch is an arm chair made of the same material. Every couch comes equipped with soft, comfortable pillows. Between the two is a dark black coffee table. At an angle and a few feet away is an another large sofa, angled to see everyone else in the seating area. This is a pull out couch, if anyone wanted to use it for that purpose.

There's just a lot of seating in this room. In every free corner, there's another L shaped sectional, with a big, warm blanket tossed over the back of them.

MIKAZUKI MUNECHIKA'S ROOM:

Jiji's room will be in the same style as the Citadel, particularly the latest Great Invasion event that literally invites us to Jiji's mind palace. Hilarious.

It is a spacious room with comfortable tatatmi and paper screen doors. The wall opposite the door will "part" to reveal the upper half of an ominous moon rising against a blue sky (https://imgur.com/DpHc2oP). Did you know that in the game, this background is called 'Mikazuki Munechika's Mental Landscape?' I can't. If possible, the room will extend into a porch - not enough to be able to walk toward the horizon, but comfy for sitting and moon viewing.

One of the paper screens will open to a closet where there will be a rolled futon available for sleeping. Mikazuki doesn't really need a bed, lmao. A simple dark wood writing desk will be in the corner, but the main decor will look like a Japanese tea room (https://imgur.com/732SDnf), complete with the basics for tea serving (did not have this at game opening) and cushions for sitting on. Everything in the room is of the finest, most luxurious quality fitting for royalty even if the aesthetic of it is simple. Flower arrangements are the main piece of decor in the room, done in a traditional ikebana style. An elegant stand to hold his sword, also the Mikazuki Munechika, also rests empty in the room.

HUA CHENG'S ROOM:

This room would fit right in at Paradise Manor, back in Ghost City - opulent, red, and so very goth. The important notes:

▸ the bed is black, lacquered wood with red sheets and curtains, a circular Chinese canopy bed that's far bigger than is actually necessary with so many pillows
▸ the desk is also black, lacquered wood with red-colored top panels, but it's low to the ground and with fancy floor pillows around it; there's drawers for writing (lbr it's fafa so painting/drawing) utensils and papers and other miscellanea - these are empty at the start of the game since they don't get those
▸ there's a walk-in closet, with various cubbies and drawers built into it, and a changing screen with a beautiful landscape painting of white flowers and butterflies is also included

There is a large, circular window opposite the entry door looking out onto an autumnal forest on a mountaintop, maple trees in full crimson display. It's obviously something that's not actually real or reachable, but at least it's nice to look at. Chinese lanterns and red string lights alike cast the room in reddish-hued light when lit, to offset the natural lighting from the window/normal lights.
