>Cadance took it to herself to point out the major areas in Prance.
>You never saw her this excited.
>The city lights reflected on her pink irises, which made you sigh in awe.
>She just assumed you liked the city.
>Fuck, you could be home playing with Twilight.
>It was Whirlwind Wednesday.
>You never missed that.
>Shining’s been pretty quiet the whole ride, only responding when Cadance asked if he was alright.
>He just smiled.
>You fucking hate this guy.
>Politics first, violence later.

>You soon see a large, pink castle in the distance.
>Its size rivaled Canterlot Castle, its design-
>Well, it was like Hearts and Hooves everyday here.
>The domes were etched in silver to form hearts.

>Looking at the city and the mare in front of you, it’s somewhat not surprising Cadance is like this.

>You shift in your seat, trying to take in the sight.
>It was still a nice city to look over.

>”Hm?” You turn, facing Cadance in her dress.
>”Hey, what got you all dressed up?”
>”I’m meeting my parents?”
>”Eh.”
>”Remember, my parents are a bit stuck-up.”

>”Okay, a lot. That’s why you need to be extra careful with them.”
>”What do I need to call them, Ms. Mi Amore Cadenza?”
>She smiles at her full name, and gives you another peck.
>”My parents are Coruscous Passion, and Umbra Valentine.”

>You whistle.
>”Fancy.”
>”What’s with all the lights?”
>”Don’t say that in front of them, Anon.”
>”Aw.”
>”Let me do the talk.”
>You nod.
>The two of you lean in closer, before Cadance’s horn stabs your forehead.
>”Ouch.”
>Cadance backs up immediately.
>”Oh my Celestia, I’m so sorry, Anon!”
>You rub your head, and smile at Cadance.
>”Hey, if there is going to be any poking, I’ll be at the giving side.”
>Cadance giggles, and delivers a jab to your arm.
>You recoil a bit.
>That kinda hurt.

>You stop by the Castle gates, greeted by a rather large band of musicians.
>Strings, woodwind, they got it all.
>You wish Twilight was here.
>She would love it.
>You fix your tie, and exit first.
>Then, you hold the door open, just so that Shining and Cadance can come out.
>Shining wears a smug look, and drapes a hoof over Cadance.
>This bitch was getting it.
>The two of them walk through the carpet, while you keep up the manservant role.
>”Cadenza!” A deep ringing voice came from the end of the carpet.
>A pure white Pegasus unicorn stood with another.
>The other one was jet black.
>The white one was probably Cadance’s dad.
>He had a golden, waving mane, which was flowing till his shoulders.
>Cadance’s mother had long, silvery hair that reached the floor.
>Cadance smiles and trots after her parents, as Shining and you follow from the back.
>You give a fake smile, and speak with clenched teeth;
>”Watch it, Shining.”
>”No, you do the watching.”
>He smiles again.
>You can’t wait till this day is over.
>”And you must be Cadenza’s new special somepony!” Her father rings out.
>And then his gaze falls on you.
>”Oh, it’s one of you.” He gives you a disgusted stare.
>You can’t help to flinch.
>”Who are you to my daughter?”
>”Well, sir, I am her f-“
>You see Cadance shaking her head.
>”F-favorite aide, sire.”
>You bow low.
>He grunts.
>”Excellent.”
>He turns to Cadance.
>He whispers to her, quite loudly.
>”Did you have to get such a disgusting creature?”
>You turn your gaze to Cadance’s mother, hoping for some care.
>”You dare look at me, creature?” she hisses.

>You feel a light slap on your face.
>Ouch.
>Shining snickers.
>”Ah, look here, a stallion with some looks!”
>Cadance’s dad comes over, pushes you aside, and looks over Shining.
>”And a sense of humor, as well.” Cadance’s mother comes over, pushing you again.

>Cadance comes over and places one hoof on your hand.
>You turn and give a weak smile.
>Hope this is worth it, Cadance.
>You nod and slowly back off.
>A guard offers to escort you, and you gladly follow.

>”So, manservant, sir?” The guard asks.
>”Yep.”
>”That is a bad cover, sir.”
>You raise a brow.
>”Everyone in the military knows you are the captain of the guards in Canterlot.”
>”Heh. It gets around, I guess.”
>”My question is, what are you doing being pushed around? The majesties would respect you.”
>”Fuck that. They’re a bunch of bigots.”
>”True, true. It has become harder to achieve higher up positions if you are a Pegasus or an Earth pony.”
>The guard taps a door.
>”This will be your room sir.”
>”Thank you, when is the dinner?”

>You smile and salute the guard.

>”My honor, sir.”
>He salutes back, and then goes away.
>You jump on the bed, sighing.
>Cadance owed you a lot for this.
>Soon, a knock is heard and a maid comes in, placing your luggage.
>You nod and tip her five bits.
>Minutes later, the same guard comes and escorts you to the main hall, where the dinner was held.
>On the table were- well, food.
>And some wine.
>And stuff.
>You couldn’t really give a shit.
>You stood behind Cadance, watching her and the rest as they ate.
>You dared not to look at the two leaders.
>Fuck them and their magic.
>Love horses got nothing on you.
>Okay, maybe a little.

>”You have quite a servant, Cadenza.” The father talks, while chewing.
>How the fuck was this guy the god of love?
>”He- he had lots of lessons.” Cadance replies.
>”Now, now, sweetheart, he gave you lots of trouble.”
>Shining leans to her.
>”But being the kind princess she is, Cadance pulled through.”

>You nod with a fake smile, and head out.
>”Such patient heart! We do adore you, Shining Armor.”
>As you leave you take one last look at Cadance, who cringes.
>Shining rub his dirty face all over hers.

>You feel a slap again.
>”Well, didn’t you hear, go on, human.”
>Confound their pony magic.
>You bite down your anger and walk away.
>For a pair of love Pegasus unicorns, they sure were stuck up.
>You ordered some food to be delivered to your room.
>You got some pieces of bread delivered.
>You chew through your dinner.
>Let’s just hope this doesn’t go on longer.
>You hear a knock on your door.
>Must be Cadance, checking up on you.
>You open the door.
>Instead, there stood Umbra Valentine.
>This can’t be good.
>”Human.” The queen’s eye twitches.
>”My queen.” You bow.
>”I’ve seen something else back there, human.”
>She emphasizes on the word ‘human’
>”I don’t know what you are talking about, my queen.”
>Do not make eye contact.
>They cannot see you if they cannot see your eyes.
>You have to admit, that was one of the most suspicion-attracting reply ever.
>”Do not play coy with me, human. Whatever she said to you, whatever she has shown, does not equate what you feel.”

>You can see your entire life flashing before you.

>The two of you, disoriented from the quick peek through your life, stagger onto the floor.
>”You- YOU DARE?” The queen quickly gets her bearings.

>As you exit the door, you feel light of all sudden.

>You hear a poof and you land back in front of the queen.

>You run out, only to be put back on your place.

>Your expression straightens, and you raise a finger.

>The queen brings her horn to you again.
>The memory of your first day in school is gone, just like that.
>You can’t remember how you met Cadance.
>She slowly works up, trying to find other memories.
>You instantly grab her horn and jerk her away.
>The memories are starting to return.
>”You dare touch my horn?”
>The queen fires another bolt.
>That done it.
>You bring up a shield, stopping the blast.
>You kick the queen off you, and get to your feet.
>”Didn’t you see another thing, my queen?”
>Your hands start to glow in a blue aura.
>”I’m also the captain of the guards.”

>Cadance finally got to avoid Shining Armor.
>He’s been testing Anon’s patience all night, she could see.
>And looks like he had too much wine for himself.
>Father kept offering more.
>Cadance flat out refused.
>Shining- well, he was too easy to convince.
>”Come on, honey, wait for me.” Shining comes to her in a sluggish run.
>From the way he keeps swinging to the sides, Cadance could tell he was drunk.
>Cadance paced quickly, she just wanted to get it over with.
>”Cadanceeeee.” Shining whispers as he catches up.
>Cadance can sense something else now.
>There was the bitterness of anger, jealousy and…

>A powerful blast tries to hold her.
>Thanks to Shining’s drunken stupor, he often misses.
>Well, that is what got her in this situation in the first place, so she can’t thank it too much.

>With all of the magic she can muster, she holds the door.
>She can feel her heart thumping, and beads of sweat run down her neck.

>With that, there is a quick flash, and Shining is in.
>Confound this magic, Cadance swears.
>Before she can react, Shining pins her to the door.
>He kisses her neck, and starts to trail down.
>”No, Shining, please don’t…”
>”I know you’ll enjoy this, Cadance.”
>Shining grins, before forcing her into a kiss.
>One of his hooves are rubbing her cutie mark.
>Cadance is quietly crying now, trying to stop Shining with all of her might.
>His magic is cancelling out hers.
>He crosses the horns, and smiles seductively at her.
>”No, no-“ Cadance whimpers.
>She wished Anon was here.

>You jump over your bed, avoiding another blast.
>Mrs. Cadance’s mom really had a temper.
>Wonder if Cadance had that-
>Oh my Celestia, why don’t you just teleport over?
>Great idea, why didn’t we do that earlier?
>Because we like to let things sink in.
>Really smooth.
>You gasp, and shroud yourself in magic.
>You land in Cadance’s room, and as you land, you can hear controlled sobs.
>You see Shining rubbing his dirty hooves on Cadance, as he slowly readies his member.

>”SHINING!” You roar.
>The stallion jumps, and turns around.
>As a blur, you land a punch on the unicorn’s head, sprawling him to the side.
>You go over and hold Cadance, as she breaks down.

>”What’s going on here?!” A voice comes from the other side of the door.
>You know that voice all too well.

>He bursts through the door, seeing the situation.
>The assumed coltfriend was out cold, and the girl was in another man’s arms.

>”Human.” The king clenched his teeth.
>But you don’t hear him.
>All of your eyes are on Shining.
>He staggers to his hooves, staring wide-eyed at you.
>”You son of a bitch.” You mutter, before charging at the unicorn.
>You grab him by the neck and teleport.

>You land back in the main hall; this was the only place you could think of.
>The two of you land punches to each other.
>Strange, Shining was a little off today.
>This was an advantage to you.
>The teleport must have got to his balance.
>”STOP!” The king shouts.
>With that, the two of you are levitated off each other.
>”What did you do to my daughter, human?”

>You point at Shining, who is getting more and more pissed.

>Cadance, who was right behind her father, starts mumbling.

>”I-I-“ Cadance starts drawing circles with her hoof.
>”Is this true, Cadenza? Are you dating a human?”

>”Answer me, mare, Were. You. Dating. This. Human?”

>You feel a sharp chill down where your heart is.
>You look to her pleadingly.
>Cadance avoids your gaze, and turns away.
>”Human.” The king starts to speak.
>You turn to Shining.
>He smiles in victory.
>No, if you’re going down, you’re going down with him.
>”Shining.” You whisper.
>He cocks his head to you, and jeers.
>”I’m still the captain of the guard.”
>He does not understand.
>Of course he won’t.
>You let out a quick burst of energy, and rush to the stallion.
>All you wanted to do was to kill him.
>You grab him, and teleport.

>Before you know it, you are falling.
>Correction, you’re falling with Him.
>He struggles to your touch, but you’re not letting him go that easy.
>Before the two of you land, both of you teleport away.
>He lands on his fours, and gets his horn glowing.
>You were already ready.

>You flick you hands like a madman, all aimed at Shining.
>A quick burst of energy kicks off on the surface of Shining’s shield.
>He is slowly losing focus, you can tell.
>But your anger can go so much.
>Once you tire, it is Shining’s turn.
>You’re going to make sure he doesn’t get it.
>You throw more shots, before your arms scream at you.
>You are getting tired.
>Shining sees this, and starts firing off his own magic.
>The unbreakable shield is about to meet the spear that pieces through everything.
>You quickly open up your own shield, but Shining was better than you at it.
>But, you were the better attacker.
>You quickly teleport behind him, and grab his neck.
>Placing another hand under his snout, you throw the stallion to the side.
>He rolls on the ground, before jumping up again.
>He erects another shield, blocking your flurry of attacks.
>”Give it up, human, I always had the better shield!”
>You bite your lip and charge.
>You muster up all of your strength and magic onto your hand, and bring it down on Shining’s shield.
>The shield shatters, and your fist connects with Shining’s face.
>He flies before hitting a wall.
>He groans.
>You hesitate, and take few steps closer to him.
>You wanted to end his life with your own hands.

>Suddenly, he jumps up fires a beam at you.
>You fire back in reflex.
>Two beams collide, pushing each other.
>Your blue beam wrestles Shining’s purple.
>Your attack slowly pushes through.
>You can feel it.
>He can feel it.
>As he is about to give in, a drop of rainwater falls on you.
>Losing your focus, your beam dissipates.
>Shining quickly takes note, and fires.
>You swipe your hand over your face, stopping the beam.
>As the rain starts and your shield buckles, you are temporarily blinded.
>Shining takes the opportunity and teleports behind you.
>You saw this coming, and jerk your left arm backwards to elbow him.

>As you elbow flies to the unicorn, time seems to slow down.
>You see a flash, and look down to a younger version of Shining.
>He smiles to you, and jumps.
>You can see yourself catching the young colt, and the two of you laugh.
>Then your elbow makes a hit, and the image shatters.
>He falls to the ground, shaking.
>You can see numerous wounds on his face.
>He looks up to you, and you see his flushed face.
>He was drinking again.
>He could never control himself when he was drunk.
>A terrible feeling washes over you.
>No, he tried getting between you and your mare.
>”Anon? Are we still friends?” He raises his hooves, to try to block out the final blow.
>But the final blow doesn’t come.
>Friends…
>You spit on the ground and turn away.
>You and your mare…

>Cadance flies over, and wraps around you.
>”Anon! I was so worr-“
>”Shut up.” You hiss, looking forward.
>You tear her off, and drop her to the ground.
>”What I said back there, I was just-“
>”SHUT UP!” You roar.
>You can hear your voice echo.
>”You can have your coltfriend, right there!” You point at Shining, who is desperately trying to get to his hooves.
>”But, I thought we were-“
>”WE? You said so yourself back there! There is no ‘WE’! THERE WAS NOTHING!” You shriek.
>You can see tears welling up on her eyes.
>You are already letting the tears flow.
>The rain just made you invisible on that part.
>”No, Anon, please-“
>She tries to come for a kiss, a hug, a simple understanding.
>You are having none of it.
>You forcibly push her off.
>”Go to him! I’m nothing to you!” You walk away, as Cadance sobs in the mud.
