[00:23] Ethan's fingers snap. A small portal appears before Asbel Invidia's blade, sending it swinging towards the back of a certain Taiga Voss rather than upon the Wayfinder himself.

This could certainly serve as a lesson for the Dhampir, too, but the crime and chaos alone would be much better.

[00:29] Taiga clicks his tongue, clearly amused by that response.

"He's a horrible man with nearly no moral standing. Famed womanizer and general nuisance towards most people that he's met in his life. But he's more than capable of--" the sword rifts through the gate, and Taiga is left to defend himself with only a fraction of a second. Gleaming crimson eyes take in the attack, his frenzied senses tracking the sword in slow motion before his eyes.

"Defend--" ***CLANK!*** claw meets blade, Taiga raising his hands just in time to clash with Asbel's blade and locking it between his claws. That amused look is wiped clean off. "ing…. himself." It turns straight to anger, his nails pushing into his fingers under the impressive weight of Asbel's attack.

He aims to throw the weapon aside, his claws nearly cracking under the pressure. Teeth grit, fangs flaring outward in clear frustration at having been the target to Ethan's deflection after he was *THIS CLOSE* to actually standing behind him as a friend for once. *THIS* was the guy he trusted to teach him Wayfinding - now readily throwing a blade in his way?! Taiga was trying *so hard* to trust. To believe. To learn. But Ethan had just thrown all of that up in flames.

"...But you're certainly welcome to take another swing."

[00:34] Asbel was clearly very frustrated at having been made to swing at someone he considered family. As such, he looked at Ethan from his floating position, and said,

"Clearly you have a death wish, fuckhead. Do you know what you've just done?"

The ground started to shake and rumble beneath him... and a pillar of molten, liquid stone erupted directly beneath his form, enveloping him entirely. It solidified into proper stone... staying there for a few seconds until shattering.

As he emerged from it, he was covered in the stuff from head to toe, as though a suit of armor that encased both him and his blade.

"Now nobody can blame me for making you bathe in your own organs, you disgusting pile of trash... enjoy your last breaths with your lungs free of blood."

Clearly, he was ready to swing proper!
