  2. [2014-01-11 20:21:34] <CrystalDM> 03Tensions run high in the Wasteland, where resources are scarce and near-death experiences tend to be the norm. However, in a military organization like the Steel Rangers, the norm is a matter of business, and those that break those rules? Well... who knows what happens to them...
  3. [2014-01-11 20:23:27] <CrystalDM> 03The scene is set as Pan Sear, Riot Shield, and our heroes, (sans a Clue, I mean, Rarity) are at the entrance to the cafeteria. Tallie is escorting Asami as Asami delivers letters to many a happy colt, filly, and kitten.

  5. [2014-01-11 20:24:54] <CrystalDM> 03Pan Sear looks to Militus. "If you will come with us, we need to obey procedure. I trust you, but..." She shakes her head. "Are there any unicorns who you would like to perform the spells?"
  6. [2014-01-11 20:25:59] <CrystalDM> 03Feather Fall sits in her room, waiting for Rarity... or a Clue, to return out of the bathroom.
  7. [2014-01-11 20:26:02] * Emerald_Blitz snorts angrily as she turns away from the entrance and back to Pan Sear. "And what procedure is that?" she asks pointedly. "Is this going to FURTHER delay us assisting the residents of the Stable? And... will Militus be all right?" Her tone softens. "What spells."

A pair of unicorns will look over Militus's memories, examining them for any gaps or inconsistencies. Shouldn't take longer than 15 minutes, at the most."

"First, that is a grievous breach of his privacy, especially considering that he is on your side now, not the Legion's," she obejects. "Second, if it MUST be done, is... Scribe Feather Fall trained in said spells?" she asks. "We're more familiar with her than any others." The alicorn turns to Militus. "If you like, I shall stay with you and make sure nothing......

  14. [2014-01-11 20:30:18] * Clue trots out of the bathroom sporting a rather short mane for a mare. "How does it look dear?" It doesn't quite exactly cover her eyes, but darts upwards and a bit outwards at the ends of her bangs. The hair at the back of her neck curls a bit however.
  15. [2014-01-11 20:30:58] * Militus sighs and shrugs. "You may if you think it wise Captain. I imagine you'll want a turn when the Rangers are done, so perhaps you should come along."
  16. [2014-01-11 20:32:34] <CrystalDM> 03Pan Sear nods to Emerald. "Scribe Fall is trained in those spells. She preferred them to learning medicine. As for the other... Riot Shield? You know telepathy, correct?" Riot Shield nods to Emerald. "We could perform a more traditional interrogation, questions and answers, but those take hours."

  25. [2014-01-11 20:35:52] * Emerald_Blitz frowns. "I have questions for you, Militus, but I'm not going to pry into your mind. That was always the department of the Ministry of Morale, not the Ministry of Peace." She scowls at Pan Sear.

  27. [2014-01-11 20:37:19] * Emerald_Blitz folds her wings as she calms down. "I think a few extra hours of time spent are worth not violating the mind of another," she says. "Unless Militus prefers to have it over and done with."
  28. [2014-01-11 20:38:16] * Militus shrugs and sighs. "We are on a timetable. What memories will they look for? That might affect how willing I am to have them seen."

[2014-01-11 20:38:50] <Asami> yaknow Tallie..last I checked we all are...thats a rather meek excuse of a cop out for always having a foul mouth and attitude towards stuff...I mean...Cap'n Emmy and her luxurious decorum of manners not withstanding...but I gotta say that when even SHE gets miffed at you for your mouth....thats sayin' somethin

  31. [2014-01-11 20:39:52] <CrystalDM> 03Pan Sear shakes her head. "And we are descended from neither, Captain. Besides, we aren't going to take them... just examine them for any inconsistencies. In all likelihood, we won't find anything." Pan Sear nods to Militus. "All we are looking at is the last time you were in contact with the Legion. We are also, as Emerald pointed out, going to be looking for signs of that. The Ministry...

  33. [2014-01-11 20:41:03] * Tallie shrugs. "Yeah? Well, that's some real tough cheese." she says, walking along. "I don't have the will to care."
  34. [2014-01-11 20:41:07] <Militus> "Then go ahead. Look into my memories. We need the time. I only hope Scribe Fall won't be too shaken by anything she might see."
  35. [2014-01-11 20:41:17] * Emerald_Blitz turns her head away. "...no, they weren't. At any rate, it's up to you, Militus." The alicorn looks down to her striped... well, friend would be an appropriate word, she supposed.

  37. [2014-01-11 20:43:12] <CrystalDM> 03Pan Sear nods. "Emerald, Riot, Militus, please head up to my office. We'll perform the spells there. I'll find our missing Scribe... I think I know where she went."
  38. [2014-01-11 20:44:41] * Emerald_Blitz sighs and follows Riot Shield toward Pan Sear's office. She walks next to Militus. "Are you sure you're all right with this?" she asks the zebra. "It won't be problematic, as they're not removing your memories, but... the invasion of your privacy... from what I knew of the Legion long ago, they were... distinctly unkind at times. I cannot imagine Wasteland life has improved them."
  39. [2014-01-11 20:45:00] * Militus allows himself to be escorted along by the security officers to the office. He is careful not to make any sudden movements.
  40. [2014-01-11 20:45:08] <CrystalDM> 03Feather Fall nods to Clue. "I hope so as well." She bites her lower lip and looks away from the smaller unicorn.
  41. [2014-01-11 20:46:08] * Clue nods. "Well let's go find this friend of your shall we?" She begins to trot into the hallway.
  42. [2014-01-11 20:46:15] * Militus looks up to Emerald_Blitz and shrugs. "It was all I knew aside from slavery. I hear it varies greatly from one legion to another, though that I can't say for sure."
  43. [2014-01-11 20:48:08] <Emerald_Blitz> "If it was the Bears of Stalliongrad, then they were masters of brutality during the war as well," Emerald says as the walk. "They were the blunt instruments of the Caesar's Legions, and very... effective at urban warfare. They did whatever they believed needed to be done to secure victory. No matter the cost to themselves or others."

  47. [2014-01-11 20:51:29] <Emerald_Blitz> "*They* do," Emerald corrects. "You're not with them anymore, a fact for which, after witnessing your most excellent violence, I am most grateful for." The alicorn's long strides are somewhat hampered by Riot Shield's shorter ones. "We'll get this sorted out. And my questions, as they're not terribly important at this moment, can wait until you're recovered."
  48. [2014-01-11 20:52:45] <CrystalDM> 03Riot Shield stays silent, letting the pair talk as he guides them up the stairs to a pair of Steel Rangers guarding a door at the top of the stairwell. "Riot Shield. Do you have an appointment?" "No, Pan Sear sent for me and the others here. We are to wait in her office." "One moment." The Ranger who spoke stands still, looking like a power armor statue for a moment.
  49. [2014-01-11 20:53:45] * Militus looks up, still wearing a grim expression. "I fear that as much as I may not wish it, I am still a part of the legion. They certainly think so, even if they do see me as a very.../wayward/ part."

  52. [2014-01-11 20:55:21] <CrystalDM> 03The door Asami knocks slides open after a moment. A griffiness looks out at the pair, wearing a pipbuck. "Can I help you?" She looks to be about middle-aged.
  53. [2014-01-11 20:55:51] <Tallie> "We got a letter for your kid!" Tallie says with a grin. "its from one of the Princesses themselves!"
  54. [2014-01-11 20:55:53] * Clue shakes her head. "Well then it's best to ease her out of her hiding spot no? Surely she has reason to be proud of what she did, and try we must!" She pears down boths ways of the hallways raising a hoof to her chin in thought.
  55. [2014-01-11 20:56:30] * Asami nodsnods as she pulls out a letter from her bag "yes I have a letter here for a certain special cub of yours?
  56. [2014-01-11 20:56:42] * Emerald_Blitz shrugs. "Then, should they arrive to correct that, we shall have to..." Emerald frowns deeply, her eyes flaring a bit. "...inform them of the misunderstanding, and correct whatever misconceptions they have about you."
  57. [2014-01-11 20:57:31] <CrystalDM> 03The griffiness looks at the pair for a moment, covering her beak with a talon that barely obscures a smile. "Kanti? You have visitors!" A little bit of scrabbling can be heard on the floor from inside the residence.

  59. [2014-01-11 20:59:11] * Militus looks up at Emerald_Blitz with a dark grin. "On that, Captain, we are agreed."
  60. [2014-01-11 20:59:48] <CrystalDM> 03Feather Fall nods in agreement, muttering something under her breath. From around the corner comes Pan Sear, looking over at Clue and Feather Fall and smiling before her robes chirp. She pulls a radio, speaks into it for a moment, before setting it back inside and walking over to the pair. "Ah, excuse me. I'm not interrupting anything, am I?"
  61. [2014-01-11 21:01:07] * Emerald_Blitz looks over to the others. "Oh, not at all. We just finished discussing something that may turn problematic down the road," she says, stepping as aside as she can manage in the hallway. "We want to get this done as soon as possible, so we can get on to locating that other Stable today."
  62. [2014-01-11 21:01:32] * Asami grins at the sound, commenting to Tallie as she waits "I may be older than you Tallie but officially I'm not an 'adult' for another one hundred and twenty-nine years"

  64. [2014-01-11 21:02:20] * Clue looks over Pan Sear. "Not at all madam, we are looking for a friend of Feather Falls here..." She stops. "..I actually don't know her name. Who /are/ we looking for dear?"
  65. [2014-01-11 21:02:42] * Tallie blinks. "And... I don't see what that's got to do with anything." she looks at Asami. "You sure you're not senile already?"
  66. [2014-01-11 21:03:06] * Emerald_Blitz sits down and clears her throat as she looks at the statuesque Steel Rangers. "Are you playing pong on that visor, or are you actually going to let us in?" she asks.

  68. [2014-01-11 21:03:54] <CrystalDM> 03A little griffin cub scrabbles up across the metal floor, coming up to rest under her mother. She has a small bandage on her head. "Ooooh! Hi!"
  69. [2014-01-11 21:04:09] <Tallie> "Mmmmmkay then." She then looks at the kid with a big grin. "Hey kiddo! We got a delivery for you!"
  70. [2014-01-11 21:04:26] <CrystalDM> 03The paladin nods his head, opening the door. "Sorry about the wait. Confirming with the Mane Scribe. You may enter."
  71. [2014-01-11 21:05:01] * Emerald_Blitz stalks gracefully into the office. "Thank you," she says as she passes by, then takes a seat to wait for the others.
  72. [2014-01-11 21:05:39] * Militus files into the office next, taking a seat to wait.
  73. [2014-01-11 21:06:01] <Asami> that bandages makes you look very debonair there Kanti...but yeah, I got here one letter from a one princess for you to read!...I hope whatever you told her was good cause wow she responded pretty fast
  74. [2014-01-11 21:06:37] <CrystalDM> 03Feather Fall briefly salutes Pan Sear before she looks over to Clue. "Her name is Clue, my" she blushes as she says "marefriend." Feather Fall looks back to Pan Sear. "Sorry ma'am. What can I help you with?"

  76. [2014-01-11 21:07:51] <CrystalDM> 03Inside the office are a pair of desks, the windows covered with sheet metal. The desks are facing each other, and one has Slow Roast at it. He is leaning back in his chair... and appears to be sleeping, if the snoring is any indication.

  78. [2014-01-11 21:08:50] * Emerald_Blitz waits until the door closes behind her and Militus, then clears her throat. "We're not falling for that one, sir. Fool me once, shame on you..."
  79. [2014-01-11 21:08:53] <CrystalDM> 03Kanti looks up at Asami with huge eyes. "Really! Ooooh!" She bounces, her wings flapping wildly as she tries to hover and fails, landing on her rump. "Owe..."

  82. [2014-01-11 21:10:14] * Emerald_Blitz chuckles and adjusts her saddlebags. "I hope the others make haste. We have much to do today, and this... setback has already taken more time than I am comfortable with."
  83. [2014-01-11 21:10:28] * Clue turns to smile at Feather Fall. "Ooo~ Love is great thing. She was the one that replaced that stallion friend of yours? I can't wait to meet her" She claps her hooves together.
  84. [2014-01-11 21:11:22] * Asami grins and shakes her head while offering Kanti the letter "careful there kiddo...trying to hover while underneath yer mom aint too wise...or so I hear the 1st rule of learning to fly is 'always check for obstructions before taking off'

  89. [2014-01-11 21:14:22] <CrystalDM> 03The griffiness frowns down at Kantti. "Mhm. She's also not supposed to try flying in the house." Kanti takes the letter, gripping it like a prized possession.
  90. [2014-01-11 21:14:48] <CrystalDM> 03Pan Sear nods. "Ah, yes. Of course. Actually, Feather Fall, we need you for a small matter. Rarity, would you mind coming along?"
  91. [2014-01-11 21:14:57] * Tallie smiles. "You should find a frame for that, kiddo."
  92. [2014-01-11 21:15:46] <Clue> "Oh of course I don't mind, I do need Feather Fall to find Clue," she says with a giggle and begins to follow.

  94. [2014-01-11 21:17:38] * Emerald_Blitz sighs. "We are waiting for some scribes to come back and make sure Militus' mind isn't full of traitorous and dangerous secrets," she says, sounding irked.
  95. [2014-01-11 21:18:48] * Asami doffs a salute with a smile and steps back "enjoy that Kanti...I'd stay to hear what she wrote you but I've got other deliveries to make before I head out today...so take care of your mom til I see you again
  96. [2014-01-11 21:18:51] * Militus taps his head. "Yes, zebras such as myself are notorious for knowing various dangerous secrets. Such as a evil dances," he deadpans.
  97. [2014-01-11 21:19:00] <CrystalDM> 03Pan Sear smiles to Clue and Feather Fall. "Actually Rarity, Feather Fall knows how to teleport. Scribe Fall, could you take us to my office? The designated spot." She nods to Feather Fall, and Feather Fall looks to Clue. "If you are willing, Rarity."
  98. [2014-01-11 21:19:34] * Tallie also gives a salute. "Wasteland Post Office, getting you what you need, fast."
  99. [2014-01-11 21:19:40] <Clue> "Oh I don't mind at all" She says with a smile and a nod that says 'lets go'.
  100. [2014-01-11 21:21:04] * Emerald_Blitz looks sideways at Militus. "And here I thought your kind was all about the wicked brews."
  101. [2014-01-11 21:21:26] <CrystalDM> 03Slow Roast chuckles, waving his hooves at Militus's last comment. "I see you have listened to the 'Wisdom' of Mare Pie." He shakes his head, as in a flurry of feathers, Feather Fall, Pan Sear, and Clue appear in the room.

  103. [2014-01-11 21:22:30] * Militus looks at Emerald_Blitz earnestly. "Oh yes, but other zebras handle those."
  104. [2014-01-11 21:23:15] <CrystalDM> 03The griffiness looks to the kitten and nods. "Alright Kanti, inside. I'll read it to you. Thank you both for delivering it." As Kanti turns, the griffiness nods to both Tallie and Asami, mouthing a silent 'Thank you' to them before turning and closing the door.
  105. [2014-01-11 21:23:41] * Tallie nods and turns to keep walking. "Cute kid."
  106. [2014-01-11 21:25:12] * Clue sits down. "Let me know when we can resume the search for Clue again, I'll make sure this mane style doesn't get damaged whilst I wait," she says with a smile.
  107. [2014-01-11 21:25:35] * Emerald_Blitz looks at Clue, then looks at Feather Fall and raises an eyebrow.
  108. [2014-01-11 21:26:02] <CrystalDM> 03Pan Sear walks over to her desk, gesturing at a nearby couch, the red cushions faded from much use. "Feather Fall, if you could bring the couch to the center of the room, we can get started." Feather Fall nods and lifts the couch in her telekinesis, placing it between the two desks.

[2014-01-11 21:26:30] * Asami nodsnods with a smile "if you wanna stay for abit and hang out with the griffin family here Tallie its okay...it might do ya some good..and that lil Kanti too...you could totally do some big sis lil sis bonding and teach her to fly or uhm..other stuff griffins like to do?
  110. [2014-01-11 21:27:23] * Tallie shakes her head with a pained expression. "I don't know how griffin families work, A-train. Bonding? Can't do that either. Flying? You know I sure as hell can't do that right."
  111. [2014-01-11 21:28:06] * Militus stands and approaches the couch. "I assume I am to sit here?"
  112. [2014-01-11 21:29:29] <CrystalDM> 03Pan Sear nods. "If that is comfortable for you, you can." Slow Roast walks over to Pan Sear's desk.
  113. [2014-01-11 21:29:54] <CrystalDM> 03Feather Fall looks to Emerald and gives a slight shake of her head.
  114. [2014-01-11 21:30:15] <Asami> you can alot better than lil' Kanti can, Tallie...and as for bonding? just spend time with her...get to know her...offer advice when asked...a shoulder to cry on when needed...bonding is actually kinda easy but it just takes time...kinda like cement
  115. [2014-01-11 21:30:36] * Emerald_Blitz sighs, then gets up and sits back down next to the couch, for moral support.
  116. [2014-01-11 21:30:42] * Militus sits upon the couch with a sigh.
  117. [2014-01-11 21:30:55] * Tallie shakes her head again. She looks REALLY uncomfortable. "Stop. Just... stop..." she mutters and keeps walking.
  118. [2014-01-11 21:33:07] * Asami does as asked and stops in her tracks...giving Tallie a puzzled look "what is it Tallie? I'm sorry if brought up something painful but uhm...I don't know very much about you to be honest.
  119. [2014-01-11 21:33:43] <CrystalDM> 03The couch groans under the combined weight of Emerald_Blitz and Militus, but it holds. Pan Sear looks at everyone gathered. "Feather Fall, if you can show us how anything you see with Grand Illusion?" Feather Fall nods, her horn glowing, her feathers softly drifting over Pan Sear and Slow Roast.
  120. [2014-01-11 21:33:46] * Tallie looks over her shoulder. "I meant stop talking about bonding and family and all that shit." she mutters. "I... I don't want to hear it."
  121. [2014-01-11 21:36:36] * Militus looks at Feather Fall. "In case you see anything unpleasant, I'd like to apologize in advance," he says sincerely.
  122. [2014-01-11 21:37:35] <CrystalDM> 03Riot Shield walks over, placing his horn on Militus's forehead. A small shield appears where he touches it, and then fades away. Feather Fall nods. "Thank you."
  123. [2014-01-11 21:37:37] * Emerald_Blitz touches Militus' shoulder gently. "I'll be right here," she says. "And Scribe?" The alicorn looks at Feather Fall. "You are likely to. Fair warning."
  124. [2014-01-11 21:38:49] <CrystalDM> 03Feather Fall nods to Emerald, closing her eyes... and gently places her horn on his head. She stays that way for the next five minutes, even as Militus's vision is filled with his past.
  125. [2014-01-11 21:39:24] * Asami nods to Tallie and frowns, taking a step towards her in concern "I uhm...sure Tallie but...why?
  126. [2014-01-11 21:39:41] <Tallie> "You don't want to know." The little griffin continues walking.
  127. [2014-01-11 21:41:01] <CrystalDM> 03During the time that Feather Fall is in Militus's mind, Feather Fall sniffles and starts to cry. Occasionally, she flinches as if struck, crying out... but maintains the contact.
  128. [2014-01-11 21:41:57] * Emerald_Blitz , sitting next to both, puts a comforting wing around Feather Fall. She knows the horrors of war all too well, and it's not hard to imagine the Wasteland's version being worse.
  129. [2014-01-11 21:43:30] <CrystalDM> 03Pan Sear's and Slow Roast's expressions remain serious, though Pan Sear winces once, early on into the procedure.

  131. [2014-01-11 21:46:24] * Clue blinks a couple of times and looks rather distraught.

  463. [2014-01-26 01:37:20] * Emerald_Blitz hears the last of the buzzing cease, and leans heavily against the wall as the poison continues to burn inside her. "Is... everyone all right?" she asks, the flow fading from her eyes.

  465. [2014-01-26 01:38:49] * Clue plops her rump on the ground and raises a hoof to her chest, blood smeared over her armour. She shakes her head with tears welling.
  466. [2014-01-26 01:39:04] * Militus wipes sprite-guts from his armor. "I'm fine, aside from the smell."
  467. [2014-01-26 01:39:04] <Tallie> Tallie waddles over to Emerald. "Are you okay?"
  468. [2014-01-26 01:39:57] * Emerald_Blitz grunts as she pushes herself off the wall to approach Clue. "I'll live. Come here, Clue. We'll have you right as rain in no time." Her horn begins glowing with much softer and not quite-so-pointy curative light.
  469. [2014-01-26 01:40:58] <Emerald_Blitz> The prickles seat themselves directly on the bite wounds that are the deepest and begin softly knitting the flesh back together.
  470. [2014-01-26 01:44:00] * Clue wipes her tears away with a sniffle and gives a nod. "...thank you..."
  471. [2014-01-26 01:44:26] * Militus returns to the group. "Will everyone recover?"
  472. [2014-01-26 01:44:57] * Emerald_Blitz looks right at Clue. "Next time," she chides, "you bring Militus or another close-range combatant in with you when you explore confined spaces. I don't want to be patching you up every single time we step into a shanty because you can't go hoof-to-claw with the baddies."
  473. [2014-01-26 01:45:02] * Tallie sits down. "I didn't get hit."
  474. [2014-01-26 01:45:21] * Emerald_Blitz waves a wing dismissively. "I'll be fine. As I said, the positive effects of radiation and all that.
  475. [2014-01-26 01:46:32] * Clue frowns. "...I just..." She avoids eye contact with Emerald_Blitz. "...we were fine till a whole bunch showed up..."
  476. [2014-01-26 01:46:56] <Asami> she wasn't alone Cap'n...well..cept for when she told me to stay put cause she wanted to scout ahead...thats uhm...kinda when everything hit the fan
  477. [2014-01-26 01:47:46] * Emerald_Blitz nods to the two. "I understand. No plan of attack survives contact with the enemy. Just... please be more careful." She lifts Clue's chin up with a hoof. "I don't want to lose a friend, and I really don't want to bring you back to Feather Fall in a body bag, all right?"
  478. [2014-01-26 01:49:09] * Asami nodsnods as she looks at Clue "yeah...that would really break that mare's heart Clue...don't forget you are making decisions for two now...

  481. [2014-01-26 01:51:41] * Emerald_Blitz smiles. "Good. Less getting hurt means less of me lecturing you." The alicorn straightens up and stiffly walks back out the door. "Now if you'll excuse me, I am going to lie in the snow until my everything stops burning." She flops down in the tinted green snow outside and sighs.
