Background:
Teeming Masses in Metal Mountains: A hive world character ignores crowds for purposes of movement, treating them as open terrain. When in enclosed spaces, he also gains a +20 bonus to Navigate (Surface) tests.

Hammer of the Emperor: When attacking a target that an ally attacked since the end of the Guardsman’s last turn, the Guardsman can re-roll any results of 1 or 2 on damage rolls.

Expert at Violence: In addition to the normal uses of Fate points, after making a successful attack test, but before determining hits, a Warrior character may spend a Fate point to substitute his Weapon Skill (for melee) or Ballistic Skill (for ranged) bonus for the degrees of success scored on the attack test.

Backstory:

Growing up on Mordia is a dire proposition. Bathed in endless night for her entire life, Angelika took the first opportunity off of her dour planet by lying about her age and joining the Guard at age 15. Drilled endlessly in basic, she would eventually get the freedom she so desired, being shipped into an active warzone with the 255th Mordian Line Division.

Shipped to the front, she found herself struggling to survive the war with a heretical planetary rebellion, she quickly rose to the rank of Sergeant, and led her squad to survival, if little else. This all changed during the final offensive.

During the last offensive of the campaign, Angelika found herself cut off from her regiment, her squad killed and her arm broken while the heretics mopped up the remaining soldiers. Thinking quickly, she leapt into a barely-functioning Leman Russ Battle Tank, said a brief prayer to the tank's spirit, and gunned the engine. The Emperor was clearly with her that day, as the one of the heretical leaders of the rebellion was too busy praying to his dark gods to hear the sound of incoming treads. Even his vile sorcery could not stop sixty tons of Imperial steel an a pissed off Mordian with a broken arm. One of their leaders dead, the rebellion began to cannibalize itself as new warlords fought for power and were ground into dust by the Imperial Guard. As a result, she earned both the Medallion Crimson (for her injury) and the Honorifica Imperialis for her actions.

While returning to Mordia for some well-deserved R&R, however, she was requested (by name) by someone in the Inquisition. Unable to refuse such a summons, she found herself in the service of one of the most powerful individuals in the Imperium...


Appearance: She's average height, about 5'7" tall, and trim in weight. She has blond hair and blue eyes. She has a unit tattoo on her left shoulder blade, with the names of members of her squad (several have been crossed out). She has sharp eyes, and appears to be almost rigid at most times.
