  8. Answer: dissolution
  9. This hint is all about context. The hints are somewhat vague and rely on you knowing history.
  10. Consider all your hopes and dreams history! - Refers to the theme of this puzzle and hint HISTORY
  11. Warring with the cold can make the season feel never ending. - Warring with the cold? How about the Cold War that many thought would never end.

Really only one word to describe it. - Gorbachev announced the end of the Soviet Union on Dec 25 1991, which of course is indicated by the 91% certainity. 23. Answer: gold frankincense myrrh
  24. These are 3 photos that meta hint to their values. The first is a cover of Madman who's real name is Frank Einstein (spoof of Mary Shelley's famous monster). Thus the first photo is frankincense (since this is a Christmas puzzle after all). The next is a picture of the show Sound Of The Desert, which in Chinese is Do Mo Yao, and Mo Yao is the Chinese name for myrrh. Finally the last is a picutre of the best bros in all of comics. Booster Gold and the Blue Beetle, also known as Blue and Gold. And since this is a Christmas puzzle the answer must be gold frankincense (and) myrrh, the gifts of the three wisemen (the last sentence in the hint gives you a hint about formatting)

  26. ======Hint 2=====
  27. Hans von Hammer was the scion of an aristocratic German family and an ace of the German Air Force during World War I, serving through most of the war. As a child, Von Hammer was tutored by his father and his lessons were supplemented by sessions with the famous arms masters of Europe, even as far as winning against the best swordsman in Germany. Most importantly, he was taught by his father to fight with honor.[1] An exceptional flyer, Von Hammer soon became the Rittmeister of his own Jagdstaffel hunting squadron, and feared among Allied forces as the Enemy Ace.
  28.
  29. During the course of the air war, he survived numerous encounters with Allied aces, such as the Balloon Buster and the Hangman, and was responsible for accumulating over 70 kills to his record; however, he took no joys in performing this duty. Due to his upbringing, Von Hammer had a high sense of honor and respect for the enemy, and he would refuse to shoot an unarmed or wounded foe, feeling that would be murder, not combat.[2] He was prone to loneliness and hated being called a killer and a killing machine. He would often after flying hunt in the Black Forest where he met "his only friend" a black wolf who would hunt with him. Von Hammer also had an orderly named Schmidt who gloated over Hans' victories. Von Hammer settled into his castle in Bavaria after the Armistice in 1918.
  30.
  31. By the time of World War II, Von Hammer had an extreme dislike for the Nazi regime, a fact which his old squadmates tried to hush up. However he was asked to serve by one of his old squadmates Peter Stalschmidt in May, 1942. Von Hammer served on the Russian Front near Leningrad from July 1942 to March, 1943. He quickly regained his flying edge and helped the rest of his new unit. He was shot down over the city in January 1943, where he saw the full horrors of war on the Eastern Front before escaping back into German lines.[3]
  32.
  33. Two years later in March and April, 1945, Von Hammer's unit was providing air defense of Munich against American bombers. Now equipped with the new jet-powered Me 262, Von Hammer scored impressive victories against the Allies. However the war was lost and Von Hammer was shot down and baled out over the Dachau Concentration Camp. After witnessing the atrocities at the concentration camp and outraged by the Nazis' perpetuation of the Holocaust, Von Hammer realized he was fighting for a criminal regime and he convinced his unit to prepared to surrender to the Americans. In a final act of defiance he had the jet fighters destroyed before surrendering to Sergeant Frank Rock and Easy Company.[4]
  34.
  35. By the 1960's, Von Hammer was broke, divorced, and confined to a German care facility. The former air ace spent his last days confiding his experience to reporter and Vietnam War veteran Edward Mannock, thereby bringing himself a measure of peace before he died.[5] Von Hammer was survived by his descendants on the Arcane bloodline which include the current Swamp Thing, and many more characters today.
  36.
  37. For an Enemy Ace, Hans always showed us a glimpse into the other side of war. Few can be so lucky to have this insight, but I personally think Hans showed us a lot about humanity and that we are not so different. Ironic that he would be one of only a few DC characters to have the chance to experience this lesson firsthand, what event in his life do you think was the most important to thaw his winter of discontent?
  38.
  39. Answer: christmas truce
  40. The Christmas Truce of WWI was an unofficial cease fire where soldiers in trenches met in the middle of no man's land to celebrate Christmas. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Christmas_truce

  42. ======Hint 3=====
  43. You were given a picture named Xmas - https://imgur.com/4bbqU2r
  44.
  45. Answer: pogo stick
  46. Xmas is a hint that this puzzle is using information from Futurama, where the holiday season is now officially named Xmas. Once you have that knowledge you can look up the symbols and see that they are Nibblonian. Nibblonian is a very interesting autokey cipher, but can look that up on your own. Once you know that it's Nibblonian you can decode the message and get
  47. "Do you think you can solve my riddle? What's was the gift from Santa given to this show's second fiddle?"
  48. Which knowing this is Futurama and we referred to Xmas you can head over to the Futurama Xmas episode summary and see that the only second fiddle (ZOIIIDDDBERRGGGG) is the only good person on Santa's list and as such he receivers a pogo stick.
  49.
  50. ======Hint 4=====
  51. You've gotten far, you should be proud of that, but this is the one that will break your back. Think back on the past and all of the hints, now read on and think of this. Santa's the hint, and what he does, now who is the guy who gets the gifts?
  52.
  53. Answer: goodman
  54. This is a metapuzzle. Think back on the past and all the hints tells you what you need to know. Santa's the hint? Even better, there's only one thing that had Santa, the Futurama hint. And with Santa also being the hint we must know it's something about him, but who is the guy who gets all the gifts? Why only good people get gifts from Santa and who else could have played Santa but John Goodman, thus the answer is goodman.
  55.
  56. ======Final Hint=====
  57. You did, I am surprised. Now hurry to the thread and post "I'm dirty piece of coal and I love being stuffed in my stocking hole."
